It's a safe place people can come for some company, it's dementia friendly, regular visitors have celebrated birthday's there and the team of volunteers who run it share God's love through good hospitality and offering a listening ear.

Richard is from Trinity @ Killamarsh and Jackie is from Dore Methodist Church. Both churches are offering different activities, but are serving the needs of their local communities.

In this episode of Faith, Hope and The Journey we hear from Vic Loveday, Children and Youth Coordinator from the Sheffield District and from Gen, an Intern for the ONE Opportunity Programme. The ONE Opportunity Programme is for anyone aged between 16-23-years old from the the Sheffield District and is designed to encourage, recognise and reward the participation of young people within the District in the Church's life and mission. It gives them the opportunity to be involved on a part-time basis in the development of the mission and ministry of their churches at a local level. It offers a salaried position of 3 hours per week, on a one-year project, shaped around the gifts and passions of the young person. The project should also enhance the life and mission of the church and enable the intern to work out their discipleship in new ways. The ONE Opportunity Programme has a focus on discipleship and relationship building. It aims to encourage the development of the interns, and to influence the wider church community who come alongside them.

In this episode we hear from Dave Fisher, a member of Hathersage Methodist Church in the Peak Circuit. He talks about being part of Eco Church and how COP26 and a church anniversary inspired the church congregation and the local village to take a stand against climate change.
