Our society has traded rest for relaxation, but what if I told you that growth can only happen at a state of rest? This principle remains true physically, mentally, and spiritually; growth cannot happen without rest. In this episode, we explore how to return to a state of true rest. True rest is just that, it is a state; it's deeper than a feeling and a mindset, it's a spiritual state of being. Spiritual Rest is a place where the Voice of God and the Word of God can speak to you. In John 3, Jesus taught that we must be Born Again, or we can't see nor enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In Romans 8, Paul also teaches that if someone doesn't have the Spirit of God, they are none of His (God's children). God is still pouring out His Spirit just like He did on the Day of Pentecost and in this episode we talk about the patterns and priciples throughout Scripture, where we see people recieve the Holy Spirit of Promise. These patterns teach us that when someone recieved the Spirit, the external sign that follows is that they will speak in new languages as the Spirit gives the utterance. This beautiful sign is the proof that we received the Spirit and are now the children of God! 

Jesus tells us in John 3, we MUST be born again of the water (Baptism) and Spirit (recieving the Holy Spirit). In this episisode we talk about the significance of water baptism and the patterns and principles we see throughout scripture. Baptism is the response of faith in Christ that we see as the response of believers upon their confession. The Bible also gives us understanding as to the purpose of baptism- the forgiveness/remission of sins. As well as the way people were baptised- In Jesus name. When we are baptized, it signifies the spiritual death and burial with Him in baptism, and through this we beleive that just as Jesus was raised, we too will be raised with Him in newness of life! 

In this Episode we talk about the next step after we have faith in Jesus through His death burial resurrection. Now that we believe the gospel, how do we obey it to enter into proper New Testament (Covenant) Relationship and Salvation with God. In this episode we expound more upon the process of how true change actually happens, by digging more understanding that we first need a change of mindset, leading to a change of actions, leading to a change of destiny. We also chat about how the enemy tries to influence our flesh to get us to fulfill his will for our lives and and God moves on our spirit to move us to fulfill His Will for our lives. There's only two options, what will we choose?

In this Episode we talk about the process of true, lasting change in someone's life. Change isn't something that just happens passively, there is a process God laid out in order to produce lasting change. When we understand the process of Biblical change, we can detach from old habits, actions, and patterns of thinking that don't serve us, and move into the transformed life of renovation that comes from the Spirit of God and the Word of God. 

A practice of Gratitude changed everything for me, because it changed my perspective even when circumstances were not ideal. A Gratitude practice also revealed God's hand in my life and I began to Praise Him and Thank Him in Everything. God is no respecter or persons and I know a practice of Biblical gratitude will change your life too!

We can't settle or become complacent in our walk with God, but we must receive His Spirit of Holiness to correct and lead us deeper in Him.
