The month January is always about New beginnings.We take time to imagine what our lives could be….    We think about new hopes and dreams and goals. As I reflect back on 2022, I can honestly say that this past year has truly been transformational. In this life you WILL have trouble, but TAKE HEART....  Those three words from John 16:33 say so much.  Part of God's plan for us is that we grow... in strength and in courage.  This growth only occurs when there are struggles.  Yep...and this is all part of His plan.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

THE ALTAR  What is an altar? The Bible clearly illustrates what is an altar and its purposes. An altar can be seen as a structure upon which offerings are made for spiritual purposes. It is usually a raised platform with a flat surface.   We see this in many of our churches today There are over four hundred references to altars in the Bible.  This I did not know until recently WHY do I want to talk about it today? I have a topic that I am going to bring up that I have spent a lot of time with… especially this past year. It’s a topic that you’re going to see out there on lots of different social media sites.   It’s kind of a buzz word right now too, especially in the area of goal setting, personal growth and development.  I see this word everywhere… and that word is mindset. The actually meaning of the word mindset is defines as:  a series of self-perceptions or beliefs people hold about themselves.  It continues to say that These “beliefs or self-perceptions determine behavior, outlook and your mental attitude. Entrepreneurs, athletes, success coaches..all talk about the importance of a proper mindset. OK…so it’s a big topic in general. In the Christian faith there are promises that God gives to those who have chosen the Christian faith to those who have chosen to put their trust in Jesus Christ… Promises of peace, of hope of courage of everlasting life.  Promises of provision of  overcoming of guidance. It’s actually kind of an endless list.  These God promises are for those who grab a hold of His hand and do everything they can throughout their lives to not let go. Over the past 13 years in particular , the Lord,  I believe, has  given me sort of an image of what it’s like to walk in and enjoy the promises of God… I’m going to share that image as  a word picture with you all today.    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

So TODAY I am here for the quiet ones that don’t say anything. The one’s who struggle, who are feeling hopeless or lost, but they keep quiet.  They keep it to themselves.  They hide their struggle inside, or cover it up with a smile.  This episode is for YOU. God knows right where you’re at.  He is with you and He is FOR you!  

Today I’d like to introduce the concept of LITTLE WINS, Little wins in life. In any game, any sporting event, you don’t just go out there and “WIN,”  you have to accumulate a lot of little wins to get to the big win the victory. You have to put enough points on the board, or score enough runs to actually win the game!  If you can get anywhere close to becoming YOUR best, in whatever area God has you…in work, as a parent, as a wife or husband, as an employee, as a business owner, as a human being. God wants us to accumulate little wins in our life. Personal victories over her own struggles, fears, challenges... they ACCUMULATE and they MAKE A DIFFERENCE.      

Let's face it, challenges in life are just INEVITABLE.  Jesus himself tells us this truth, however, we are not without hope or answers.  God provides all we need to not only cope with the troubles in life, but to have peace in the midst of them, as we look to Him for the answers.

To every person who has ever made a decision to walk out their lives in faith, I hope and pray that I encourage you to hang on to God’s hand and the squeeze tight, especially when it gets difficult to trust Him.   We get to be Jesus with skin to a world or to people who might never, ever step foot inside a church building, in fact, you might be the only Jesus with skin they encounter.  So hold on tight to the hand of God and squeeze even tighter when you feel like letting go.

God warns us that in this life, we will have troubles... He also came that we might have LIFE and life more abundant.  Our life, or as I refer to it in today's episode, The Dash, is designed for BOTH, abundance AND Difficulty, but never perfection.  In episdode 3, I challenge you to take a look at The Dash - Your Life.

The 3rd Tree: God ALWAYS Has a PlanHas your life gone in a completely different direction then you expected?  Have your hopes or dreams been shattered?  As difficult as that can be, in the midst of it all, God STILL has a plan for your life!  He continues to work on your behalf.
