Following The Lord is a lifelong journey. He changes us over time. The little moments in this life build on each other, and eventually we can look back and see how God orchestrated everything to make us more like Him. When Will was in college, his only idea of God was that He was a judge who only liked "good people," but over time, Will developed a clearer and deeper understanding of who God is and His heart for His people. In this episode, Will shares his journey to living for Jesus in Community.

Aubrey Jeppson and her family traveled the country in an RV for three years! Three years of exploring, driving, trying new things, and—most importantly—three years of no busy schedules. They didn’t have any places they had to be or tasks they had to do; they simply got to be.The Jeppsons saw and did incredible things, but the biggest takeaway from their adventure was a spiritual one. The Jeppson family hasn’t been the same since their journey, and we got to talk all about it in this episode!

Nathan Hoogshagen made the quick drive across town to record with us in person—and it was an absolute BLAST! There’s something special about having a guest in the studio, and Nathan brought both energy and authenticity to the conversation.Nathan is a small business owner, a committed local leader, and someone deeply invested in the health and growth of our community. We talk about what it truly means to lead well. Leadership isn’t about titles or recognition. It’s about serving others, seeking God’s direction through prayer, and consistently putting the needs of others ahead of your own. It’s clear—both from Nathan’s life and from this conversation—that he doesn’t just talk about these principles; he lives them. Our community is stronger because of leaders like him.

Carl and Kristen Proctor had to complete a ministry internship as part of their degree at Ozark Christian College, so they spent the summer of 2025 at a small church camp in Canada. They were quickly overwhelmed and completely exhausted, but they remained faithful to the task that was laid before them and came on the podcast to share what God did through them. From start to finish, it was clear that God used their internship to impact the lives of others and to continue preparing them for the things that lie ahead, as they recently accepted a job at a different camp in Indiana.

We don’t have to have our lives all figured out. Honestly, it’s impossible to plan out every step of your life. Kate Little, the youth coordinator at Inspire Family Fellowship, knows this firsthand. There was a season when she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, but looking back now, she’s so thankful for how kind the Lord was in placing the right people in her life and opening doors along the way. Those moments led her to a job she genuinely loves showing up for every day—one where she gets to have fun with youth while watching the Lord change their lives.

Mike Hess did NOT want to move to Colorado. He was happy in Wyoming, but in a bold step of faith, Mike moved states last in the summer of 2025, from one college campus ministry team to another. It was out of Mike’s comfort zone, that God exemplified His patience to him.  It was SO fun to chat with Mike, and hear how the Lord has begun to refresh his tired heart, answer his prayers (big and small) , and bring specific people into his life that he is able to pour into and disciple on a daily basis! We are thankful for Mike’s obedience!

Brandon came on the Tasted + Seen Podcast and shared about his dream of working in vocational ministry, where he could focus on discipleship. For a short time, Brandon was able to do just that. Shortly after becoming the discipleship pastor at Saddleback Church, God began doing something in his heart—preparing Brandon for something new. This season of preparation deeply blessed Brandon and filled him with gratitude for the way the Lord cares for us. Tune in as we chat about how good God is to prepare us for what’s next, and to hear what that next step was for Brandon!

Matt Branum joins us again on the Tasted + Seen Podcast, and he shares how God has been showing up in his life through moments of silence and solitude. We dive into this idea of spiritual disciplines, and we discuss the gift that they are to our lives, with a little bit of fun church staff banter into the conversation mix. The way that God calls us to live takes intentionality, but it is always life giving and freeing! This is such a challenging AND encouraging conversation

We were blessed to have Abbi Rodgers join us on the podcast, as she eagerly told us her most recent God story that changed her heart posture towards prayer. What seemed like a small, silly thing to pray about ended up teaching her that God cares about every detail of our lives, and that He desires to give us discernment to make difficult decisions. Praise God that He is so near to us.

Becca Smith makes her return to the Tasted + Seen Podcast as our first return guest! We loved getting to talk about the lessons learned from young people in who are leaders in vocational ministry. Becca shares the beauty of watching God move in the ministry in Ohio, and about what Bible College did and didn’t prepare her for. We love her heart, her energy, and her wisdom in this fun conversation!

Chris Johnson felt crushed by the weight of his depression, and alcohol wasn’t fixing it. He felt hopeless, as many of us have when we experience the hardships in this life. God intervened in Chris’ life in a miraculous way, delivering him from the pit of darkness into a relationship with his Heavenly Father. Chris shares how divine grace completely turned his life around, changing him forever. This episode is heavy, but it is also full of so much hope, because our God doesn’t leave us alone. God’s love abounds for you. He sees you in the pit, and He longs to deliver you into His glorious freedom. Branden Rezanina asked the Lord to Grow him, and the Lord did it. Brandon wanted to know what it looked like to become a leader, so the Lord provided many opportunities for Branden to step into something uncomfortable, creating the space for growth to take place. From rock bottom, to planning and organizing mission trips for Summit Christian College, Branden's life has been completely changed by the goodness of God. The Lord is too good to not grow us!

Abigail and Domingo have been following the Lord's calling in their lives, even when they were completely unsure why, where, and how things would work out. They get real about the difficulites of running into the unknown, moving to a new state, and the reality that the Lord was their shelter and their hope through it all. The Lord performed surgery on their hearts, tested their faith, an fulfilled His promise to never leave or forsake them. Their story is absolutely incredible, and their faith is BOLD.

Jack Branum loves baseball. He grew up living and breathing baseball, and yet that isn't the most important thing in his life. The Holy Spirit has been at work in Jack's life; changing his priorities, turning his eyes towards heavenly things, and stirring his spirit. Jack shares about the role that his family and his church body played in preparing and encouraging him for the new thing that the Lord has in store for his life.

How beautiful it is to be apart of God's church! At a young age, Dr. Best remembers his church body intentionally helping him discover his spiritual gifts, and then creating opportunities for him to put those gifts into practice. Because of the encouragement of the church and their intentional discipleship, Dr. Best always knew that he would be a preacher and teacher of the gospel. Dr. Best is actively using those gifts in York, Nebraska where he is a Bible College Professor and a leader in his local church. Praise God!

Ben Sander wasn't sure he was going to leave the hospital alive. Death was knocking on his door, and it was in this dark moment, where Ben realized that there was more that he could have been doing in the Kingdom of God. King Jesus, the Great Healer, saved Ben's life and is using Him to further the Kingdom in the Black Hills. Jesus Christ has a Kingdom purpose for you to live out too!

For most of Katie Charest's life, Katie has experienced unresolved medical issues. A runner at heart, physical pain prevented Katie from doing what she loved, at the level of excellence that she knew she was capable of achieving. After multiple years of no answers, increasing discomfort, and no signs of hope, Katie was faced with a choice. She could serve King Jesus in her pain, or she could sit in discouragement forever. Listen to the rest of the episode to hear how God turned Katie's life upside down!

Nothing says that many emotions can be held at the same time than a podcast episode titled, "Celebration" where we talk about grief. Hannah Crooks, a student at Ozark Christian College, is passionate about celebrating the beauty of life, and shares about how celebration has looked different for her as life experiences brings fun and hard changes. Her heart for the Lord, really does bust out of this episode!

While the world tells us to go after what we want, Mackenzie's story inspires us to take the Lord's path for our life instead. Faced with the difficult decision of where to go to college, hit with disappointment of what she thought she wanted, and then invited into a completely different, but incredibly beautiful, job opportunity Mackenzie, learned that the Lord had specific, and good, plans for her life. We also chat about prayer and fasting!

We all know and love Zane Hamilton! If you know Zane, you know he brings the energy wherever he goes, and he definitely brought it to this podcast episode! We had such a blast hearing Zane's story and the really intentional details that God weaved together every step of the way. God weaved together his passions for ministry and athletics and opened up incredible opportunities to share the good news to a generation that is hungry for it.

in 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" This verse perfectly sums up this weeks episode. Halle Kirsch opens up against her past struggle with alcohol and how the grace and forgiveness of Jesus completely changed her life. Listen to Halle's episode to hear the details about how God delivered her from her addiction and brought her to a place where she is discipling young women around her!

Navigating new seasons of life brings a lot of challenges. As Amber Potter started a new chapter in her life at Black Hills State University, she quickly learned that she was going to need the Lord and the Lord's people to navigate all of the hard things that come with college. Amber has noticed the Lord, in all. of His goodness, helping her throughout her ongoing semesters her in South Dakota. Praise God for His church who steps in and makes such a difference in our lives.

The Lord doesn't intend for us to walk through life alone. He intentionally puts people into our lives to walk through the ups and downs alongside of us. Our Good Shepherd is always watching out for us. Grace Smith, joined the crew at Summit Christian College on a spring break trip, and shares about how vulnerability connected their group in a deeper way, changing the way they served those around them. Hearing Grace share her experiences with community is encouraging!

This episode is such a fun way to start off Season 4! We got the incredible opportunity to hear from Ashley Macha in Tanzania, Africa. It is evident that the Lord is at work in the Neema Village, where Ashley and her team are able to share the love of Jesus with moms and babies who are facing intense hardship. In the midst of poverty and life-threatening health challenges, Ashley has seen the hope of Jesus radically transform countless lives. This episode is full of testimonies of the miracles that God is doing every day in Tanzania. you won't want to miss this one!

The devil works really hard to tempt us to believe that we are alone. We know that God is with us, yet often times we don’t sit with Him and allow His presence to be our comfort in the times we feel alone. Nicc Quinones opens up about how God redeemed his season of loneliness and turned it into a season of spiritual growth and transformation. We are praising God for another testimony of God’s kind promises to us, leading to a life changed. Nicc’s episode is available the third Monday of March!

A couple months ago, the Pritchard family received news that would rock their world, as well as forever change their prayer lives. When their middle child was diagnosed with cancer, Chris and Kelsey Pritchard, continually took it all to the LORD in prayer, knowing that He is much bigger than cancer. In the months that followed, they witnessed miracle after miracle, leaving them with a testimony that they will be shouting from the rooftops until the day Jesus comes again. We serve a big God who does Big things. PRAISE HIM!!! This Episode is a MUST Listen!

Scott Stuart, a worship leader here at North Point Christian Church, has always loved music. His rock and roll life style of the past was sinful and unfulfilling. Scott shares about the spiral that led to him hitting his rock bottom, and about the people that God placed into his life that would speak truth and love over him, ultimately leading to a life that is forever changed. Not only does Scott get to use his musical talent to lead our church body in music every week, but he is married to a women who shares the same love for the Lord and get to worship on stage with him. Using our talents to bring glory to King Jesus is such a beautiful testimony to the God we serve!

At some point or another, the devil comes to attack our identity. Each and every one of us will come to a point in our lives where we question who we are and why we were place on this earth. Our cousin, Thaddeus Coop, has recently embarked on his own journey of discovering his identity in King Jesus. We are so thankful that God is redeeming his story, and that this episode is just the beginning of what God is going to do with Thadd. Join us as we chat about real life struggles, and how the love of Jesus and His Church is stronger than the lies of the devil.

Reagan spent her whole summer serving on camp teams for York University. She soaked up so much wisdom and encouragement from multiple leaders at various church camps, leaving her on spiritual mountaintop. In our next episode, Reagan shares how her christian counselor helped adjust back to everyday life. We know that there is a stigma that comes with Christians going to counseling, so we dove right in and chatted about the good stuff. Tune In!!

There are so many times that, in the midst of darkness, we feel as though hope is lost. This darkness makes it really easy to fall into a rapid spiral of unhealthy habits and negative thinking patterns. Becca Lillie opens up and shares her struggles in her darkest moments. Our faithful God used different people, and different messages, at different times, to begin a beautiful work in Becca, She is able to look back now and say that her battle was worth fighting. God is using Becca and her story to bring glory to His name!

This episode is like a breath of fresh air. Becca, a senior studying Biblical communications at Ozark Christian College, has an incredible attitude towards God and the things He asks her to do. God keeps putting Becca in uncomfortable situations, and rather than focusing on the unknown, Becca walks in confidence because she knows that Jesus is her constant companion. She has experienced the joy of participating in what God is doing across the world, and that joy radiates out of her. We are so thankful for Becca's "yes" to Jesus and His work.

Living your life for Jesus is the most influential thing you can do. Influence can be multigenerational. Adam Wehrman, a middle school math teacher, desires to be the godly influence that public school students are looking for. The most important legacy we can leave is the legacy of the love and truth found in King Jesus. We were greatly encouraged to hear how God is providing opportunities for Adam to be a godly influence for his students.

Morgan Smith gets vulnerable about what God has taught her about servanthood. When she was convicted about her motive for serving others, she wanted to change. Seeing Jesus as the ultimate example of servanthood, transformed her heart and motives. Serving people out of love for them and for the Lord, leads to beautiful opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a broken world.

Jared Stark, The Interim President of York University, comes on the podcast and shares about the blessings that he has experienced since deciding to go all in with Jesus. Jared has such a heart for ministry. He also has such a special opportunity to pour into college students during the weekdays, and to preach the word of God to his church family on Sunday mornings. Caleb Hebbert's life is a testimony to the Lord's faithfulness. Caleb and his wife, Emily, weathered storms very early on in their marriage and in the beginning of their children's lives that would forever change the way they viewed the church body. In this episode, we talk about the beauty of friendship the real part of grief, and how joy is found in the midst of hard things.

We have a little bit of a different take on this episode. Ryan Charest, a church planter in Sheridan, Wyoming, encourages us to ask the Lord to give us eyes that see opportunities to participate in God's work in the little moments, as well as in the big moments. God moves mightily in the schedule of our everyday lives! With eyes to see and ears to hear, we can walk through the doors He is opening for us.

What's up, Tasted + Seen Podcast listeners! We made it to season THREE!! Praise Jesus!! Anxiety and depression are emotions that many of us struggle with at some point in our lives. In this episode, we talk about some practical things we can do to go to battle against anxiety. It was not long after Staci got married, that she went through something that would change the way that she approached the depression and anxiety that she had been struggling with her whole life. The Lord used what the devil meant for evil to strengthen Staci, and to remind her that He is faithful to fight our battles with us.

The first time that Tristan met Jeremiah, he was blown away by his prayer life. Jeremiah has so many tasted and seen moments in his everyday life that he was more than happy to share. The little glimpse you get into Jeremiah's heart, is enough to make a huge impact on yours. His intimate prayer life overflows into an episode full of wisdom and awe of our glorious God!

Let's face it, we all envision our exciting seasons of life unfolding just like the movies. Lydia had pictured the birth of her fist born son going one way, and the exact opposite happened. Intense, life threatening events quickly took place in her hospital room, leaving Lydia to grieve what she thought would be. In the weeks to follow, the LORD's people wrapped their arms around the Florence family, as the Lord continued to teach Lydia, that he was the one in control. The blessing of her healthy baby boy and the recovery that Lydia has made is the Lord is something we are all praising God for!

Becky Jones can testify that even God isn't afraid to get down in the dirt with us. God isn't too proud to come down into our weakness and show us His unfailing love. Becky shares about how she walked through an unplanned pregnancy during her college years, and how she gets to walk through that with women in her community today. It wasn't through shame, but through kindness from the Lord's people that Becky and her husband experienced Jesus' love for them in a beautiful, redeeming, and transformative way. Her story is a beautiful story of kindness overflowing from Christ and from His Church.

Our Favorite Old Testament professor is on the pod, and we couldn't be more excited!! This episode is all about truth. Can we find truth? How do we know what is truth? Where do we go to for truth? Is the truth ours? Like many of us, Aaron wrestled with all these questions. His life was radically changed when the Lord used a dream to teach him important lessons regarding truth.

Jesus tells the disciples that people will know that they are His followers by their love. Real love is fully grace and fully truth, and it points people to Jesus Christ. Isaac Stephanus was radically changed by people who loved him well in the midst of his darkest moments. Isaac's upbringing was tumultuous and painful, but God's love was greater and now Isaac has the opportunity to display that love to his little girl and to other children they get to welcome into their home through fostering. Love really does fulfill the law!

HOT TAKE!! Physical exhaustion is real, but doesn't have to be normal. ANOTHER HOT TAKE! Doubting and wrestling with God through things that you struggle to believe, doesn't make you a poor Christian! Tanner Mack joins us on the podcast to talk about the physical and spiritual weakness he and his wife experienced shortly after the birth of his son. He sat with the LORD and experienced growth and goodness because of it. The LORD meets us in our weakest moments.

What makes God good? God is the definition of Good. He in and of Himself is everything that is good, and without Him there is nothing that is good. All too often, we find ourselves saying that God is good because He did or gave us something that we wated. He does give generously, but that isn't what makes Him good. The reality is that God in all of His character is holy and without blemish. Shane's story reminds us that tasting His goodness is being able to experience different aspects of God's character. Shane felt God's unconditional love at a young age, and then experienced God's dominant presence throughout high-school as he would accept challenges that God would ask him to step into. The more uncomfortable that Shane was, the more he experienced God's faithfulness and transformative power! You are going to wanna listen in!

Healing takes place when we are honest and open about the hard things that we walk through, and because of sin, the hard things can leave extremely deep scars. Stephanie Bosh and her husband, Brad, experienced five miscarriages, leaving them no where to go but their knees, The Lord opened their eyes, and showed them how great their need was for a personal relationship with Him and with the body of Christ. In seasons this dark, community is a vital part of the healing process. Here's to the Lord's presence when we are completely broken, and to the people He puts in our lives to bring healing to our hurting hearts.

Planning ahead is wise, but only if you are willing to humbly lay all the plans at the feet of Jesus at the end of each day. Throughout all of our lives, the Lord calls us to make moves; to take steps that He will use for Kingdom Work. The Lord knows the specifics of the things He calls us into, but often times He doesn't show us the whole plan at once. He does, however, show us how to take the next step, even if we aren't sure where it will lead to or what it will look like. That daily dependency on Him is what He is looking for. Gracie shares about a time where she had to take a step of faith, even when she wasn't sure of how it would affect her future plans. Turns out, her future plans weren't as good as God's anyways!

It really is pretty daunting to feel like the pressure is on us to map out the course of our life. Culture can pressure us all they want, but the truth is that we don't have the knowledge or power to control hat could possibly lie in our future. The Lord graciously gave us the Holy Spirit to take the pressure off of ourselves and teach us how to listen for what the Lord is calling us to do. Charles share the different times in his life where he was unsure of what direction to go; that ultimately lead to a fun episode about what life can look like when we open up our heart to what God is calling us into and then step into that with bold obedience.
