Like many Protestant denominations, the Catholic church faces a crisis of authority. The primary reason for this is postmodern thinking that places ultimate authority in the thinking of the individual and not in an institutional church. This thinking is hardly new since it manifested itself soon after creation. 

This church document stresses the importance of human dignity regardless of the sexual orientation but warns against the ideological colonization of trans theory that contradicts biblical and church teaching.

My sister Ann died at an early age with 4 children. It saddens me to think she never got to see her children marry or her grandchildren or great grandchildren. But her legacy, love and prayers continue in us who love her. The communion of saints holds that there continues to be a connection between the living and the dead through our common faith. My prayer is that this podcast will be an encouragement to all who have lost mothers but continue to benefit from their legacy, love and prayers.
