The Daniel Rogers Podcast
by Daniel Rogers
I really do believe that God is like Jesus. This means that all of life is sacred, and the sacred/secular divide is an illusion. Whether you are working as a carpenter, fishing with your friends, taking a walk in the woods, or considering the lilies, you are participating in a life that is holy, sacred, and good.On this platform, I intend to explore the implications of this Trinitarian vision of love, inclusion, and unity by looking at different subsets of theology, meditating on Bible passages, listening to poetry and lyrics, or reading children’s books. Join me as we dive into an infinite pool of grace and peace that exists in the wilderness, on your city streets, and within your heart and soul and the heart and soul of every creature you meet. The War Prayer
Have you ever considred how positively answered prayers might negatively affect others? For example, if you pray for your team to lose, then you're praying for the other team to win. If you pray for the hurricane to change directions, it might just go towards a different region. In Mark Twain's challlenging piece "The War Prayer," he explores what happens when we pray for victory in war.
