The American workplace is experiencing a chronic stress epidemic that’s making us sick from head to toe. Record numbers of employees are breaking down mentally, emotionally, and physically. The pandemic triggered something that has been dormant all along. The response manifested itself with the great resignation and quiet quitting, but in reality, people still have ambitions and need to work. So, what do you do to relieve the build-up of emotions that arise—anxiety, anger, stress, sadness, even sickness caused by working in toxic environments, passed over for well-deserved promotions, blind-sided by unexpected responsibilities, overwhelmed by lack of boundaries? What matters is leaving in the past those moments that are over. Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open. Consider that God closed that door because he knew you were worth much more. In part 1 of When Closing Some Windows Open More Doors, I talked about how multitasking (aka too many open windows) impacts our brains. Now let’s discuss how and why diminishing these distractions can open doors of destiny.

EP54 - Closing Some Windows Will Open More Doors
When your phone or computer has too many apps running — when there are too many windows open, you know what happens, right? It slows down because it’s trying to process all that info at once. Multi-tasking puts an awful strain on our brains and it's even proven by research!

EP53 - Contradictions and Clarity
Whether it's the infamous joke turned smackdown at the Oscars with Chris Rock and Will Smith or the blessings that we're often ungrateful for...Celebrity Make-up Artist and Minister Kym Lee and Deya Direct have a girlfriends heart to heart about how our behaviors can contradict the way we see ourselves or how we want to be seen, but can give us clarity about areas where we need to grow. One area of growth discussed was the importance of living every moment fully to the best of our ability. And while it's a very Hollywood mentality to always focus on the next big thing, Kym reminds us that next is actually now because we're living in the midst of answered prayers.
