The First London Confession of Faith

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost.

There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of mankind who does evil, for the Jew first and also for the Greek, but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who does what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning,or ever the earth was.When there were no depths, I was brought forth;when there were no fountains abounding with water.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

But it is good for me to draw near to God:I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,that I may declare all thy works.Psalm 73:28
