The Hands That Save

To honor is to regard with great respect. Respect is a feeling of deep admiration as a result of one's abilities, qualities and achievements. For God demands of all those who have been brought into a personal relationship with him to honor him."'A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?' Says the LORD Almighty. 'It is you priests who show contempt for my name.'"  Malachi 1:6

From when we are born, humans always have features similar to their parents. Whether it's physical, by actions or both. It is in our nature to look up and be influenced by things they say or do. So how then do we let Jesus's words and actions influence our lives as we call him our father?"We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, 'I know him,' but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did." 1 John 2:3-6

In our Christian lives, we have two groups of Christians: those who go to church and listen to the world but don't do anything with it, and those who go and use what they have learned and put it into practice. Now, which group are you in?"But someone will say, You have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." James 2:14-26

Everyone starts as an infant by the care of their parents. This is until they can mature and take care of themselves. In comparison, the understanding of the word of God can be like an infant maturing into adulthood, slowly being able to discern from good and from evil."Anyone who live on milk being still and infant is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." Hebrew 5:13-14

Do you trust the people you love? If so, how much trust do you put in them? Being a Christian, it is important to place your trust in the Lord, but how much trust do we give to him?

The disciples stood for God right through all their life. We calls ourselves Christians, but are always defending and turning to our own ways and laws instead of God's. Who is there to stand for God's right?

In the book of Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus is telling the disciples to go and makes disciples of all nations. But 2.8 billion of believers have been calling themselves Christians the name given to Paul and Barnabas! This is part #1
