CEO INTERVIEW: Inside the Panguna Mine: Numa Numa's John Kuhns on Landowner Partnerships, Chinese Rivalry, and the Path to Public Markets

The Panguna Mine in Bougainville contains an estimated $100 billion in proven copper and gold reserves; nearly 1% of global gold reserves and copper resources equal to 70% of Canada's total. Shuttered since 1989 due to civil war, it remains one of the world's largest undeveloped ore bodies. In this extraordinary conversation, Numa Numa Resources Chairman & CEO John D. Kuhns explains how his company secured what no other mining firm has achieved: binding agreements with the Panguna landowners and Bougainville's government to develop the mine.John D. Kuhns, Chairman & CEO of Numa Numa Resources, discusses his company's unprecedented agreements to develop Bougainville's Panguna Mine (a $100 billion copper-gold resource that's been shuttered since 1989). Kuhns explains how decade-long relationships with landowner clans create competitive advantages traditional miners can't replicate, addresses sovereignty risk as Bougainville pursues independence from Papua New Guinea, and reveals why China's strategic interest in the region makes Western investment urgent. Topics include capital requirements for mine restart, profit-sharing structures, Numa Numa's planned public listing, and why this tier-one asset is positioned to help fill the looming global copper supply gap. A geopolitically charged conversation about resources, independence, and frontier market opportunity.Perfect for: Resource investors, geopolitical analysts, family offices evaluating frontier market opportunities, institutional investors interested in copper-gold exposure, and anyone tracking U.S.-China strategic competition in the Pacific.Critical Context: Goldman Sachs projects gold at $4,900/oz by December 2026. This isn't a speculative junior miner; it's a fully explored, previously producing tier-one asset in a geopolitically strategic location.Disclaimer:The Harvest podcast is for informational and educational purposes only. The Microcap Conference Series: Kolibri Global Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: KGEI)

Our latest episode features Wolf E. Regener, President and CEO of Kolibri Global Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: KGEI) (TSX: KEI), a North American energy company focused on finding and exploiting energy projects in oil and gas.During the interview hosted by Carmel Fisher, Regener discussed Kolibri Global Energy’s efforts to sustain healthy margins despite oil price volatility. “It's all about the wells that we have drilled performing, but we have enough production history that it shouldn't be a big risk. We’re also drilling new wells, so there’s always some variability. Despite this, we try to be conservative in our forecasts and drill in proven locations to avoid taking big risks. We do have one well that we're drilling this year that has a higher risk profile. We have a 46% interest in that project, and a large integrated oil company is our partner—people can probably figure out who that is. That partnership reduces some of our risk and enables us to prove up even more reserves, because those are not in our reserve report right now. That's another 3,000 acres that we could potentially prove up economically.”Join Harvest's Carmel and Wolf E. Regener, President and CEO of Kolibri Global Energy, as they discuss the company’s strategic approach to location prioritization. The company has a strong lead in assisting top beauty brands in digital transformation, enhancing customer engagement, and driving sales growth while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibilities.During the interview, Louis Chen discussed what makes Perfect Corp's approach to AI so unique."Perfect has a series of SAS software to help beauty and fashion brands through their e-commerce journey, by helping the consumer virtually try on products before they make the purchase, as well as skin care related technologies or other apparel and luxury items." The industry move to modernize the shopping experience places a direct emphasis on technological innovation, particularly in an era where you don't really have the beauty advisor in the store to help consumers anymore. Chen points out how Perfect hones in on this demand for enhanced product discovery and presentation, with advancements such as augmented reality playing a key role in helping the consumer localize and visualize the beauty, fashion and luxury brands they so desire.Check out more recent episodes where we interviewed mutiple CEO's onsite right after their company presentations at the largest investor gathering in the US, The Microcap Conference.Disclaimer:The Harvest podcast is for informational and educational purposes only. Watch and Subscribe on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheHarvestPodcastwithCarmel As part of The Microcap Conference Series, Carmel Fisher sits down with Tamir Poleg, CEO of The Real Brokerage Inc. (NASDAQ: REAX).The Real Brokerage Inc. (NASDAQ: REAX) is revolutionizing the residential real estate industry by pairing best-in-class technology with the trusted guidance of an agent."We provide a digital brokerage platform for agents, while working to build a better end-to-end home buying experience for consumers."During the interview, Tamir Poleg discussed what makes The Real Brokerage's business model so compelling. "We are the most efficient real estate brokerage in the market because of the fact that we implement software instead of putting more and more humans to work, meaning that as we grow, as we scale, as we add more and more agents, we do not grow our operating expense at the same pace. And we have a very compelling ratio of one employee for every 140 agents, whereas the average in the industry is one employee for every 20 agents at any other brokerage. We have very few employees that process actions due to a lot of automation and software that we built that can automate all of the processes that typically are done by a human. So this is a huge competitive advantage because nobody can actually compete with us on efficiency and This is why we can scale just in the first two weeks of January of 2025, we added 1000 agents in two weeks."Join host, Carmel Fisher and Tamir Poleg, the Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of The Real Brokerage Inc, to learn more about the company.Disclaimer:The Harvest podcast is for informational and educational purposes only. CEO INTERVIEW: AnnovisBio, Inc. ($ANVS) gets FDA green light to initiate Phase 3 Alzheimer's study

Watch and Subscribe on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheHarvestPodcastwithCarmel In this episode, Dr. Maccecchini discusses the company’s recent meetings with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which resulted in clearance to initiate pivotal Phase 3 studies of buntanetap in early-stage AD patients.“To date, we have conducted four small studies in Alzheimer’s, and now the FDA has granted us clearance to do the very last study, which is really a confirmation of the study we just completed,” she explains. “Once we have that confirmation, we’ll be able to submit a request for market approval.”“We are so excited about this data, because buntanetap is good in both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The reason that we believe it works in a number of neurodegenerative diseases is that it attacks more than one neurotoxic protein. What pharma has done to date is attack mostly amyloid-beta plaques. If you attack plaques, you get a small response. However, if you attack more than one toxic protein, and in the brain of an Alzheimer’s patient there are at least four toxic proteins, you have a better outcome.”Join host, Carmel Fisher and Dr. Maria Maccecchini, Founder, President, and CEO of Annovis Bio, to learn more about the company’s strategy to move rapidly toward a potential New Drug Application (NDA) filing following commencement of its upcoming Phase 3 study.Disclaimer:The Harvest podcast is for informational and educational purposes only.
