My second pitch edit of the Fantastic Contraption soundtrack. This one is quite a bit of a lower pitch, but still one of the ones I kept. My first non-Skaven upload! This isn't the only one, I do have more ;) "Fancon," is short for the title of the online physics game "Fantastic Contraption." I have SO much nostalgia with this game, I played it all the time when I was about 9 and 10, and so this, the soundtrack from it, is quite memorable to me, and this is it, but with the little extra flare of a pitch change on it ;D I've always called Fantastic Contraption "Fancon," for short, that's where the title comes from. Amazing how the same note over and over can still sound good, eh? ;) If you haven't heard of this game or the soundtrack, I hope you fall in love with it from hearing it now, just as much as I have. This song still holds up after all these years, I still love to hear it and don't get bored of it. It's an amazing soundtrack piece and I love how the repetition of the same note doesn't ever get boring. So here we have it. The soundtrack to Fantastic Contraption, lowered to the pitch of D+. This and my only next edit of this soundtrack, the Down A, were among the first batch of edits I'd ever created. Back in about April 2016. It was these 2, and 3 other edits, I hadn't even saved them on my computer, I just left open in Audacity and never shut down my Laptop, just had them perched up on screen, and listened to them then... way back then, when those were the only 5 edits I'd ever made. These 2 were apart of that OG crew. This is one of the Down 34s that I kept. "Down 34" was kind of a prerequisite to the Sleepy, as I realized that -33.333 is speed is nearly the same pitch as -34, and songs sounded better being this low of a pitch, with the speed to match it, so I went with the Sleepy instead, as it sounds better on about 95% percent of occasions than Down 34. A few Down 34s I liked better than the Sleepys, so I kept them, Iconoclast being one of them. I think I have like, maybe just 2 more Down 34s I have kept. But here's one of them. The last of my batch of Paraspatial Fields edits. I've been off Paraspatial Fields recently, I think I over played it and burned myself out, but oh well, it'll come back when it wants to :P I made this back a month or so ago, whenever I made the other 2 Paraspatial Fields edits, just haven't uploading this until now. :P All it is is a combination of the other two, I liked them both individually so much that I thought combining them would work. It definitely did. This is the result. Just In Reverse with that nice pitch to it. :) I am indeed trying to organize my edits more! I still have loads that haven't been uploaded that will hopefully be pumped out, among them still being some of my favorites: the Sleepy family, those will definitely be the ones to check out that I will recommend. For some reason the idea of doing an In Reverse for this song jumped right at me, and I had to do it. Which... turned out great. I love how this one sounds. This was the first Paraspatial Fields edit I made, made it about... 2 weeks ago? Roughly. What's ironic that's prevalent on the In Reverse as well as the original song, is my favorite part. My favorite part on the regular version of the song is at 1:08... and that same part in reverse, is my favorite part of this edit, which is at about 20 seconds in on the edit here. Thought that was funny. What else is funny is that there appears to be some sort of theme present... lol. Two of Skaven's May songs back to back both sound incredible when played in reverse. Novakandy was the first In Reverse I've done, and this edit isn't one I do very often, and it's amazing on Paraspatial Fields as well. Random thoughts :P Well, enjoy! Thank you for listening. Yes, I do know I'm not uploading in a timely manner of any sort. Though I am feeling the motivation right now, so we'll see if my time management changes and I do upload more often, which is seeming likely (I hope, but don't count on anything, I can't be trusted for that). I've been really in love with Skaven's latest 2 songs, to be honest. They really hit home with me, especially Paraspatial Fields, when I first heard this when it came out I absolutely loved it and listened to it so so so much. Took me a while to getting around to actually doing any edits of it, because I was so content with the original version. Though recently I did start experimenting with this song, and whipped up a few edits. Here's my favorite. "Down by 9" is literally just a pitch change of -9, and is actually one of the first edits I've ever made when I first started experimenting, over a year ago. I experimented with my favorite Nintendo soundtracks, and for some reason, now all this time later, I knew it would sound great with Paraspatial Fields. And it absolutely lives up to its expectations of how great I thought it would be. My favorite part of the song begins at 1:08, so that's what I was looking forward to when I changed the pitch, and oh man, did it hit my heart, (in a good way of course) this pitch with this song is wonderful on the ear, I love how it sounds, and I hope you do too! This song... This is one of the edits I'm most proud of. This is the beginning of a wonderful family, my favorite family: the Sleepy edits. Where the Sleepy originates; it's a speed change, slowed down by a specified number, in between just a normal pitch change and the infamous Genocided edit. So I thought, "hmm, what can I call something in between Genocided and normal?" and the title "Sleepy" was born. These edits are amazing. I've run this edit through SO many Skaven songs and SO many of them have turned out amazing. That's what's great about the Sleepy family. But this one... is more special to me than the rest. This was the first Sleepy I'd ever made. And it was the only one that existed for quite some time. This, the Sleepy Coincidental, was born back towards the end of January of this year. A lot of crap was going on with me then involving people IRL. This edit was there for me. I felt alone and people weren't there, then for weeks after that, they continued to go totally crazy which left me angry and confused and just so upset. This edit was there for me. I listened to this edit through the end of January and through February specifically were the bad times. It had me. It was my "turn off the world and just focus on me" distractor from all the bad crap that was happening. Everything sucked, but Sleepy Coincidental was on my phone for me whenever I needed it. And it helped me so much. It's such an amazing edit, and sparked a beautiful family of edits, and now here I am to give it to you, and the world. Experience the joy that is the Sleepy edit with me. <3 The Sleepy edit is just a speed change to slow the song down, that's all. Just so happens that the amount it slows the songs down by makes them all beautiful like this. So many Sleepys are just as beautiful as this edit. I can't explain it any more than that, this edit is just amazing and makes the songs so so so enjoyable with what it creates with them. (yes I'm calling these families, the next Family is the best I have) So the Up F+ we have here... This was the last of the first batch of Novakandy edits I ever made, all the way back in August of 2016. Skaven252's Novakandy with the pitch lowered, to play in A. These are kinda hard to describe, though they're my favorite: the pitch change edits. So let me try to explain the pitch changes... I mess around with the Change Pitch feature in Audacity the most, and change songs from one pitch to another, usually by notes, and it calculates the percent change for you. I never change the pitch the song starts from, the "from" pitch in the Change Pitch feature in Audacity, only the "To" pitch change, which actually changes the pitch, if that makes sense. So when I say "Down A," I change the pitch lower from it's original note, to A by simply choosing the note A for it to play in with the Audacity Change Pitch feature. I hope I made sense with that. That's how all my pitch changes are done, and will be titled the same way: if the pitch is raised (Titled "Up") or lowered (Titled "Down"), and what note it's now playing in, ex: this song - Novakandy Down A. Novakandy, pitch lowered to play in A. This song itself has quite a backstory, as if that weren't enough :P This was the first Novakandy edit I ever made, since A is my favorite note, so I was fond of it. And it was the only Novakandy edit I had for quite some time, so I listened to it a lot, especially during some dark times in my life months back. Those bad memories flooded me and in turn, made me too sad to listen to this edit, so I wanted to get rid of it. I didn't listen to it for a long time. Then recently, it was stuck in my head again. After all this time had passed and the bad times in question had come and gone. So I decided to actually listen to it again... And I forgot how good it was. So I brought it back, and even made another bootleg edit of Down A (coming tomorrow ;D) So here it is - my first ever Novakandy edit, brought back from the dead and back in action in all its wonderful glory. Skaven252's Novakandy with the ending of it looped for the entire length of the song. This one is quite interesting. I love to mess around with the ending to Novakandy, because it's my favorite 25 seconds of music out of every song ever. How I came to the conclusion of trying this out was that I sped up Novakandy incredibly fast, and noticed that the whole song really sounds like the same jingle of notes when it plays fast, but at its regular speed it's rather difficult to tell that. So I took the ending and looped it with the whole song and what do you know? - The ending synced up with a lot of parts of the song, sounding like the same notes, just with a different background I also noticed that every time the ending ended and looped again, a new part of the song would start, and it all fit perfectly. Novakandy by Skaven252 simply in reverse. While messing about in Audacity like I usually do, I decided to put my favorite song in reverse. Here's the result. I loved everything I heard when I first made this edit. Novakandy by Skaven252 "Genocided." If you're familiar with Undertale and how amazing that soundtrack is, and how in the Genocide playthrough, the songs are slowed down, this is that same edit. I messed around in Audacity with the Undertale songs to see by how much they're edited to make them sound like they do in Genocide. I found out it was a Speed change of -50%. So since I love how that sounds on the Undertale songs, I thought "why not do this for my favorite Skaven song?" This is the result.
