The Seekers with Rachel Fuller

Comedian, writer and mental health advocate Ruby Wax is Rachel Fuller's guest for this week's episode of The Seekers podcast. Ruby had a hugely successful TV career that spanned 25 years and is now a best-selling author and renowned mental health campaigner. She has a masters in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy from Oxford and has been awarded an OBE for her services to Mental Health. She has written many books about Mental Health and her latest is ‘I’m Not as well as I thought I was’ which tells the story of her recent mental breakdown and recovery. After the covid lockdown Ruby started off on a series of extraordinary experiences to find meaning and purpose. This included living in a Christian Monastery, working in a refugee camp, swimming with whales and doing a 30 day silent retreat.  But while she was doing her epic experiences she had a ‘mental car crash’ as she calls it and ended up in a mental institution for 3 weeks.
