The Table Podcast

Thank you for checking out our community podcast! Every Sunday we gather around the tables to explore faith, share stories, and grow together. Our hope is that this podcast helps you catch up on our Sunday teachings (if you are a part of the community and missed a gathering) or to give you a sneak peek into the life of our community. At the heart of The Table is the desire to create the space for people to grow in and explore the way of Jesus. We make room for doubt, questions, and commit to faithfully teaching the Scriptures.

  1. 48

Ephesians | Week Thirteen | Pastor David Beavis

What do we think of when it comes to the topic of Spiritual Warfare? Many images come to mind inspired by movies like The Exorcist. But what if this warfare we are caught in the middle of - and called to be engaged in - more sneaky and covert? In this final message of our Ephesians series, we walk talk about the war and our enemy, the equipment for the fight, our battle orders, and one final surprising word of hope.

  2. 47

Ephesians | Week Twelve | Pastor David Beavis

Ephesians 5:22-6:9 feels jarring in our modern-day context. But in the ancient world, it was jarring but for different reasons. When we place Paul's household codes alongside the Roman household codes, we see some surprising New Creation reversals.

  3. 46

Ephesians | Week Eleven | Pastor David Beavis

The deception of duplicity is simple: true freedom is living a double life. You can project a particular version of yourself, but live a double life in private. What if duplicity is actually slavery, and inside-out congruence, learned from discipleship to Jesus, is the true freedom we desire? In this message, Pastor David walks through Ephesians 5:6-18.

  4. 45

Ephesians | Week Ten | Pastor Mark Archilla

We continue on with our exploration of the story of Ephesians as Pastor Mark Archilla walks us through Ephesians 4:25-5:5.

  5. 44

Resurrection Sunday | Pastor David Beavis

What if the true story of the world is that death does not have the final say? What if death was defeated by the true Lord of the world? In this Resurrection Sunday message, we accompany Mary Magdalene in John 20:1-18 as she has a surprising encounter that changed everything.

  6. 43

Ephesians | Week Nine | Pastor David Beavis

What does it mean to "be yourself"? Is that really what we should aim for? What does it look like for us to be more fully ourselves in the likeness of Jesus? In this teaching on Ephesians 4:17-25, we walk us through these questions and imagine together who we are, who God is calling us to be, and why this matters.

  7. 42

Ephesians | Week Eight | Pastor David Beavis

Why "church"? What is the purpose of the church? Is there more than simply "going to church on Sunday"? In this message, Pastor David walks through Ephesians 4:1-16 as we contemplate what it means to be the people of God.

  8. 41

Ephesians | Week Seven | Rebecca Vondra

In this crescendo of music that is Ephesians 3:14-21, Rebecca Vondra invites us to listen to the tune being played in the text.

  9. 40

Ephesians | Week Six | Pastor Mark Archilla

This past Sunday, March 8th, Pastor Mark Archilla walked us through Ephesians 3:1-13.

  10. 39

Ephesians | Week Five | Pastor David Beavis

On Sunday, March 1st, we explored together Ephesians 2:11-22 and the call to pursue unity.

  11. 38

Ephesians Week Four | Pastor David Beavis

In this message, we walk through Ephesians 2:1-10 and examine how this is our story in Jesus.

  12. 37

    Ephesians Week Three

Due to some technical difficulties, we the sermon recordings for the past three weeks are not available. This is week three of our teaching series in the book of Ephesians. In this message, Dr. Brett Desper walks us through Ephesians 1:15-23.

  13. 36

Prayer and Fasting | Week Three | Molly DuQue

In this installment of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, our friend Molly DuQue shares her heart about the missional imperative of seeking the flourishing and blessing of the community in which we live.

  14. 35

Prayer and Fasting | Week 2 | Pastor David

In this message, Pastor David talks about the importance of investing in the next generation - passing on the flame of faith in God to the young people.

  15. 34

Prayer and Fasting | Week One | Pastor David Beavis

Why would Jesus willingly limit himself in the wilderness? In this message from Luke 4:1-13, we explore Jesus' 40-day fast and his resistance to temptation. Discover how fasting trains us to find freedom not through limitless autonomy, but through submission to God—learning that "God is enough" even when we don't get our way.

  16. 33

Advent 2025 | Love | Pastor David Beavis

What's at the heart of the Scriptures? In this Advent message on love, we explore Jesus' conversation with a scribe in Mark 12:28-34 about the greatest commandment. We discuss why loving God and loving others are inseparably connected, and how easy it is to lose sight of this central truth—even when we know the Scriptures well.

  17. 32

    Advent 2025 | Joy | Rebecca Vondra

In this Sunday's reflection on the theme of Joy, Rebecca Vondra guides us toward the joy God offers that has nothing to do with our prepackaged, for-sale, battery-operated, shallow attempt to self-medicate our way through the bitter months of winter in a harsh, unrelenting world. Rather, in the midst of the harsh realities of life, "joyful anticipation deepens."

  18. 31

Advent 2025 | Peace | Dr. Brett Desper

In our second week of Advent, Dr. Brett Desper leads us through a profound reflection on the need and the availability of true peace.

  19. 30

    Advent 2025 | Hope | David Beavis

In this first week of Advent, Pastor David explores Matthew 21:1-14 and how Jesus is the unexpected Messiah in whom we find our true hope.

  20. 29

Kingdom Economics | Week Five | Mark Archilla

This Sunday, Pastor Mark explores the story of the poor widow in Mark 12:41-44.

  21. 28

Kingdom Economics | Week Three | David Beavis

What does true generosity look like in God's Kingdom? In this message on 2 Corinthians 8:1-15, we explore how the early church turned conventional thinking about philanthropy completely upside down. Discover why the impoverished Macedonian Christians—giving out of severe trial and extreme poverty—became Paul's shining example of radical generosity. Learn the surprising formula for a "wealth of generosity" that has nothing to do with the size of your bank account.

  22. 27

Kingdom Economics | Week Two | David Beavis

What would it look like if a community actually lived out radical generosity together? In this message from Acts 4:32-37, we explore the early church's revolutionary economic practice—a community where no one claimed possessions as their own, needs were met, and unity transcended social class.

  23. 26

Kingdom Economics | Week One | David Beavis

This is the first week of our new teaching series called Kingdom Economics in which we are exploring what it looks like to have our vision and practice for our finances shaped by the Kingdom of God and not by the surrounding culture.

  24. 25

The Dwelling Place of God | Week Six | David Beavis

This is the concluding message for our teaching series on the Dwelling Place of God. In this final message, we look at the river in the Garden of Eden, the river flowing out of the Temple of God in Ezekiel's vision (Ezekiel 47), and the river in Revelation 22:1-4.

  25. 24

Dwelling | Week Five | David Beavis

Our identity drives our behavior. And as relational beings, we look to our group to find a sense of identity and how to behave in light of that identity. Paul tells the followers of Jesus in Corinth that they are "the temple of the living God." What are the implications for that identity? In this message, Pastor David Beavis expounds on what this means for us right here, right now.

  26. 23

One-Off Sermon | The God who Listens | Mark Archilla

In this one-off sermon, Pastor Mark Archilla shares his heart with The Table about the longing we all feel to be heard, and the reality that our God is a God who listens. This is most manifestly displayed in the incarnation of God in Jesus. God listens with skin. He hears our pain and feels our pain.

  27. 22

Dwelling | Week Three | David Beavis

God creates everything good and in harmony with everything else. But things go off the rails when the humans listen to the voice of the serpent, and not the voice of God. Shame enters the story. And it remains with us.

  28. 21

Dwelling | Week Two | David Beavis

Is the creation story of Genesis One and Two widely misunderstood? What if there's more going on than simply "How and when everything was made?" What if this has more to do with God creating a dwelling place - a temple - with humanity who are to be priests in God's sacred space? What do this tell us about our purpose? In this week of Dwelling, we look at the opening story and what this has to say about the story we live out right here, right now.

  29. 20

Dwelling | Week One | David Beavis

We are in a new teaching series looking at the theme of God dwelling with humanity, and our longing for our true home in the presence of God. This first week, Pastor David Beavis starts at the end - Revelation 21:1-8.

Philippians Week Three | Pastor David Beavis

This week, we look at Philippians 1:27-2:4 and Paul's call to unity undergirded by humility (and sabotaged by ego). Thank you for joining us! You can learn more about our community here in Belgrade, MT, by going to tablemt.org.

  37. 12

Philippians Week 2 | Pastor David Beavis

This summer, we are walking through the book of Philippians together! We are soaking our minds and imagination in the ethos of Philippians - learning to follow our self-emptying, descending Lord in a world obsessed with self-fulfillment and social status ascension.

  38. 11

Philippians Week One | Pastor David Beavis

This summer, we are walking through the book of Philippians together! We are soaking our minds and imagination in the ethos of Philippians - learning to follow our self-emptying, descending Lord in a world obsessed with self-fulfillment and social status ascension.

  39. 10

Pentecost Sunday | Pastor David Beavis

On this Pentecost Sunday, Pastor David taught on the word "Pentecost" and why this is significant. From there, we discussed three key insights from Romans 8:9-11 about the Holy Spirit.

  40. 9

Intercession Pt. 2 - Why Pray for Others | Pastor David Beavis

Why do we pray for others? If God is all-good and all-powerful, why does God need people to pray for others? Does it even matter? In this message, Pastor David dives into this and more.

  41. 8

Praying for One's Enemies | Pastor David

When it comes to those who have hurt us, our anger-based natural desire is retribution. Jesus offers us a different way. One based on enemy love rather than hate and anger. In this message, Pastor David dives into praying for those we would rather not pray for.

  42. 7

The Lord's Prayer | Pastor Mark Archilla

In this teaching, Pastor Mark Archilla takes us through The Lord's Prayer, and encourages our community with a word on persistence.

  43. 6

Prayer Week 2 | Honest to God | Pastor David Beavis

In this message from our Prayer teaching series, Pastor David invites us into a deeper relationship with God by embracing radical honesty in our prayer life. Drawing from the raw and unfiltered prayers of the Psalms, the book of Habakkuk, and the prayers of Jesus before his death, we challenge the idea that God only hears our polite, religious, happy prayers. Instead, we’re encouraged to bring our whole, unfiltered selves—our anger, our grief, our doubts, and our disappointments—before a God who desires real relationship with us. And real relationship requires honesty.

  44. 5

Prayer | Week One | Prayer and Waiting

To begin our teaching series on prayer, Pastor David opens with the story of the disciples of Jesus praying and waiting in Acts 1. We then explore our experience of waiting in Romans 8:18-25.

  45. 4

    One-Off Message | John 10:1-18 | Pastor David Beavis

A one-off message from Pastor David Beavis from John 10:1-18.

  46. 3

    Easter 2025 | David Beavis

Pastor David Beavis preached on the story of the two disciples who encountered Jesus but didn't realize it till later (Luke 24:13-35). This is a fascinating story of hope that was dead, the surprise encounter with the Risen Christ, and the resurrected hope because of the resurrection of Jesus.
