Wondery’s Missing Sister Podcast Exposed: The UK Contract I Was Convinced to Sign
In this video, I explain why the podcast series “The Missing Sister” was quietly removed from Wondery Plus and BBC Sounds, and why I believe I was misled and exploited through what was described to me as a “simple consent form.” I was invited to participate in what I understood to be The Joy Morgan Podcast, a project focused on the tragic murder of Joy Morgan, a 20-year-old midwife student and member of IUIC London whose life was ruthlessly taken by an IUIC London leader. I agreed to be interviewed based on that understanding and was told the document I signed was only permission to use my interview audio. After the podcast aired, I discovered that: - The project was released as “The Missing Sister” on Wondery Plus - The focus shifted away from Joy Morgan’s case to Israel United in Christ (IUIC) - My original 2019 research and YouTube content about IUIC was used in later episodes - I was not credited or compensated for that research After having a lawyer review the contract, I learned that the agreement contained an extremely broad rights grant, including: - Unlimited, perpetual rights across all media - Waiver of moral rights - No obligation to credit or compensate the contributor - No limits on editing, attribution, or future use This was not how the document was described to me at the time I signed. Shortly after a cease-and-desist letter was reportedly sent, the podcast was removed from Wondery Plus and BBC Sounds, with only the free promotional Episode 1 remaining on some platforms. 🎙️This video is fair use commentary intended to: - Share my personal experience - Protect my voice, research, and story - Raise awareness about how independent journalists, researchers, and survivors can be exploited by mainstream media - I do not name the journalists involved and encourage viewers to do their own research. 📌 Topics Covered - The Missing Sister podcast removal - Wondery Plus and BBC Sounds podcast controversy - Joy Morgan case - Israel United in Christ (IUIC) - Consent forms and media contracts - Exploitation of independent journalists - Fair use commentary - Survivor advocacy and media ethics 🎧 More of My Work - Tales from the Cult podcast & playlist - My experiences leaving IUIC - Long-form investigative and survivor commentary If you’ve had a similar experience or were contacted for this project, feel free to share your story in the comments. 👍 Like 🔁 Share 🔔 Subscribe for more investigative commentary and survivor advocacy #TheMissingSister #WonderyPlus #JoyMorgan #IUIC #IsraelUnitedInChrist #PodcastControversy #MediaEthics #FairUseCommentary #IndependentJournalism #SurvivorVoices _________________________________________________ *For entertainment, satire, comedy, and commentary purposes only. *For viewers 18+ *TV-MA _________________________________________________ Copyright Disclaimer: Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Exposed: The Truth Behind Wondery's The Missing Sister Podcast
In this podcast episode Gina Blue (aka Karizma) — a former member of Israel United in Christ (IUIC) — breaks down her shocking experience working with the UK journalists behind the Missing Sister podcast, which was heavily promoted on Wondery+ and BBC Sounds. The Missing Sister podcast claimed to investigate the tragic murder of Joy Morgan, a midwifery student and former IUIC member from the UK who was murdered by IUIC leader Shofah El Israel. Gina gave these journalists deep insight into IUIC, her own background, and how destructive cults operate. But once the podcast dropped, Gina realized she had been blindsided. In Episode 5, The City of Hope, she discovered that her 2019 exposé on IUIC’s leader Bishop Nathanyel was used almost word‑for‑word — without her permission, without credit, and without honesty about where the information came from. The journalists repackaged her work as their own “discovery,” and Gina felt the entire narrative shifted away from telling Joy Morgan’s story. Instead, it became yet another media project profiting off Joy’s murder and the trauma of former IUIC members.

Tales From The Cult Ep. 001| I Escaped IUIC: Inside the Black Cult That Tried to Silence Me
Tales From The Cult is a powerful podcast and YouTube series created by Gina Blue (also known as Karizma Speaks on YouTube), a former member of the controversial religious group Israel United in Christ (IUIC). ----more---- Israel United in Christ (IUIC) is a Black-founded, Hebrew Israelite group that teaches Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans are the true descendants of the biblical Israelites. A retired NYPD detective leads IUIC, and it has been widely criticized for its exclusionary and extremist beliefs, including its refusal to allow White individuals or those not listed on their 12 Tribes chart to congregate. In this episode of Tales From The Cult, Gina Blue (aka Karizma) shares her firsthand experience inside IUIC, describing what she perceived as religious, mental, physical, and verbal abuse by leaders and loyal members.
