The spotlight is on Miva, a wildly dynamic, Russian-born artist and producer who blends hip-hop, metal, techno, and raw emotional storytelling into her own genre-bending universe. Here are the heavy-hitting themes from the interview:From the Runway to the Studio: Miva breaks down her intense origin story, from immigrating to Canada from Russia as a kid to entering the high-stakes modeling industry at just 14. She pulls no punches describing the objectification and exhausting nightlife of the fashion world, which eventually pushed her to pivot into photography and music production. The Abyss and the Ascent: The conversation gets incredibly real about the dark side of creativity. Approaching two years of sobriety, she describes the profound, almost cinematic spiritual awakening that finally pulled her out of the dark. The Pandemic Pivot: Trapped inside during the 2020 lockdowns, Miva linked up with a mentor, taught herself Ableton, and went on a relentless production streak. She handles her own graphic design, engineering, and mastering, proving she’s an absolute powerhouse of independent artistry. The New Era & Launch Strategy: Fresh off her Kino EP, Miva is gearing up for a brand-new 5-track project built entirely in her sobriety. She drops serious game on her launch strategy—releasing one track per month for five months—and dives into her unique inspirations, including the Victorian era's romanticized obsession with death and spirituality. The Independent Hustle: She’s not just making music; she’s building an empire. Miva talks about producing for other artists to maintain financial stability and launching her own streetwear line, Miva Apparel, to fully execute her creative vision.

Credit also goes to Christopher Robin, whose original vocal warm-up inspired much of what you’ll hear here. I’ve adapted those ideas into a modern, sonically accurate, professionally produced routine you can use daily. These short sessions are practical, repeatable, and designed for real-world use. Just hit play, follow along, and let your voice evolve—with strength, clarity, and intention.Let’s train—together.

Offstage, I might have a persona, but on stage, I feel huge, like I’m truly myself.” And for Lukie, creating music means pushing boundaries: “For me, the melody always comes first. Lyrics are the last thing written, which keeps the songs open to any interpretation from listeners.” Join us as we dive into the artistry and philosophy that drive Night Lunch’s sound and learn why, for Lukie, music is all about helping people escape into something larger than life.

#49: Sex, Love & Music (About Artist Attachment in Relationships)

One of the hardest ones to publish for fear of ridicule and shaming. But I know a lot of other people struggle with this topic. By sharing, I hope the right people will know they’re not alone. Here’s the deal: . How does sex and love mix with performance artists? . Us… This big group of wingbat rainbows, doing whatever the hell we want (with rules). The creative mind and all of its cat wrangling… Fleeting flings… Deep-seated emotional ouchies…  Empty holes that need a hug… The “Real” Thing… … How do these interface with our primal instinct for smooches and cuddles? In this episode, I talk about: Recognizing My Attachment Patterns: I open up about my own struggles with attachment and how unresolved emotions from past addiction issues resurface in my relationships. It's like facing a recurring pattern—a "fractal" quality in emotions, where dealing with one problem opens the door to recognizing similar issues in other areas of my life, particularly with love and attachment. Balancing My Performer and Private Self: I dig into the challenge of being a musician, how my onstage persona can feel like a mask, and how that impacts my sense of self-worth. There’s a particular post-performance emptiness that I often try to fill with relationships, which I’m beginning to understand can lead to a cycle of dependency. Growth Through Honest Reflection: I share my journey toward deeper self-awareness, realizing how certain habits and behaviors reveal a need for validation that doesn’t actually satisfy. By embracing self-reflection, I’m finding ways to reshape my approach to love and relationships into something more genuine—moving from dependency to a place of wholeness, where I can grow with someone else without losing myself in the process. …. Yikes… My inner critic is flexing hard to retain my sense of pride on this one, dude. Whatever. Phok that guy. Hugs, Colin
