Truly Twisted

On July 6th 1992 Marsha P. Johnson was found floating facedown in the Hudson River.  Her death was quickly ruled a suicide, but she had blunt force trauma to the back of the head. Sadly as a black transgender female, her case did not get the attention it deserved from police, but she did gain recognition around the world. On August 19th 1992, 20 year old Laurie Depies was finishing her shift at the Graffiti store in the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute Wisconsin.  She made plans to see her boyfriend after work and drove the 15 minutes to his apartment.  He was waiting for her to get off with a group of friends for a little summer get together.
