Conversation with a Member of the Anointed Class

In this episode, I attended the Jehovah’s Witness Memorial Supper and spoke with someone who said she is part of the “anointed class” (the 144,000). We explore what led her to that belief and how she thinks about Jehovah’s Witness teaching on the anointed over time. Along the way, we discuss key passages and themes including Revelation 14, the purpose of Christ’s death, and Jehovah’s Witness beliefs about Jesus as God’s “only-begotten Son,” his role in creation, and Isaiah 9:6 (“Mighty God”). We Crash a Jehovah's Witness Memorial Supper

We went to the Jehovah’s Witness Memorial Supper expecting a quiet, symbolic service—then we witnessed something we truly didn’t think we’d see: someone from the anointed class actually partook of the emblems. From the packed hotel conference room and worship songs to the message and the passing of the bread and wine, we share what it was like as total newcomers, what stood out, and the questions we left with.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Interview with former Jehovah's Witness: Pastor David Harrop

In this episode we take a break from our Jehovah's Witness series and sit down with ex JW, Pastor David Harrop of Calvary Church Lancaster. We talk about David's experience as a child in the organization, his families current involvement, how he began to dismantle falsehoods and see holes in the organization which eventually lead him out and consequently to the real Jesus. He now serves as a Pastor of Global Ministries at Calvary Church Lancaster.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

    Jehovah's Witness Study| Week 6- Salvation & the 144,000

Week 6 of our Jehovah’s Witness study walks through Reasoning from the Scriptures Chapters 10–11, focusing on the Watchtower teachings about the 144,000 “anointed class” versus the “other sheep/great crowd,” and how those categories affect a person’s hope (heaven vs. paradise earth) and even who the New Testament promises apply to. We examine key texts often used to support these doctrines (Luke 12:32; Revelation 7 & 14; John 10:16; Revelation 7:9, 15; Romans 10:13; John 3:5; Acts 16:30–32), compare them to their broader context, and highlight several internal tensions—especially the claim of a 1935 cutoff, the placement of the “great multitude” before God’s throne, and the idea of a works-based path to salvation. The lesson concludes by contrasting this framework with the biblical presentation of salvation and eternal blessings received by all who believe in Christ (e.g., Ephesians 1:4–14; John 5:24).Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Jehovah's Witness Study| Week 5- The Holy Spirit & The Trinity

This week (#5) in our Jehovah’s Witness study, we walk through why Jehovah’s Witnesses describe the Holy Spirit as God’s “impersonal active force,” then compare that claim with Scripture’s portrayal of the Spirit as personal—having a mind, emotions, and a will (1 Cor. 2:10–11; Rom. 8:27; Eph. 4:30; 1 Cor. 12:11). We also address common JW arguments tied to Genesis 1:2 and the Trinity, and offer simple questions you can use to keep the conversation clear and biblical. Jehovah's Witness Study| Week 4- Is Jesus Michael the Archangel?

In Week 4 of our Jehovah’s Witness study, we continue working through Reasoning from the Scriptures to answer two big questions: Is Christ inferior to the Father, and is Jesus actually Michael the Archangel? We discuss how Jesus’ “the Father is greater than I” statement fits with His humbled position during the incarnation (not a denial of His divine nature). Then we respond to JW.org’s claim that Jesus is Michael by looking at the Bible’s teaching on Christ’s supremacy over angels and His authority over Satan. We also clear up common misconceptions about Jesus’ resurrection body. Like, share, and subscribe—next week we’ll be talking about the Holy Spirit and the Trinity.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Jehovah's Witness Study| Week 3- John 1 & Is Christ inferior to the Father?

In Week 3 of my study on Jehovah’s Witness theology, we take an in-depth look at how the Watchtower interprets key biblical passages about Jesus Christ and why those interpretations fall short. This video examines the New World Translation’s handling of John 1:1 and John 8:58, the misuse of Greek grammar and scholarly sources, and the claim that Jesus is merely a created or lesser being. By connecting passages from Exodus, Isaiah, John, Colossians, and Revelation, we show that Scripture consistently affirms Christ’s eternal existence, full deity, and equality with the Father—while still maintaining Trinitarian distinction. This episode also addresses common JW proof texts and explains why the Bible presents Jesus not as “a god,” but as God Himself.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Jehovah's Witness Study| Week 2- The Divine Name & Is Jesus Jehovah?

This week, we examine the origins and meaning of the divine name “Jehovah,” challenge claims about its necessity for salvation, and explore how Jehovah’s Witnesses use scripture and translation to support their doctrines. We highlight the biblical evidence that God is addressed in many ways, discuss Jesus’ identity and the prominence of his name in the New Testament, and expose translation issues in the New World Translation, encouraging viewers to anchor their beliefs in scriptural truth rather than organizational authority.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Jehovah's Witness Study| Week 1- Basic Beliefs & Watchtower Passages

Thank you for joining this Jehovah's Witness deep dive series! In week 1, we explore the foundational beliefs and theological distinctions of Jehovah's Witnesses, highlighting their Unitarian view of God, the unique role of Michael the archangel, and their teachings on the soul, resurrection, and salvation. The episode examines the authority of the Watchtower Society, the division of believers into distinct classes, and the scriptural basis for these doctrines. It also provides practical strategies for engaging with Jehovah's Witnesses, encouraging respectful dialogue, critical examination of Watchtower teachings, and reliance on scripture alone for understanding faith and salvation.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Response to MustacheMac about Morality & the Euthyphro Dilemma

Responding to MustacheMac’s claim that morals are subjective, I explain why objective morality points to a transcendent source—God. I also address the Euthyphro dilemma, showing that God’s nature is the foundation for moral goodness, not just arbitrary commands.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

I pretended to be an Atheist

In this episode, I share a unique experience after being invited by Jeff Mindler of Apologetics for the Church to step into his college apologetics class and pretend to be an atheist for 45 minutes. As a room full of Christian students grilled me with questions and attempted to convert me, I reflect on how I was received, the tone and conduct of these young believers, and what they did well in engaging a challenging worldview. I also offer practical takeaways for Christians on how to ask better questions, listen carefully, and engage unbelievers with confidence, clarity, and charity. Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

    The History of Hell

Explore the historical roots of Hell in Christian thought! This episode dives into what the Early Church Fathers believed about Hell, highlighting their consistent view of it as a place of eternal conscious torment. Hear direct quotes from figures like Ignatius, Clement of Rome, and Hippolytus, and discover how ancient texts shaped the doctrine. We’ll also unravel the origins of terms like Sheol and Gehenna, debunking myths about burning trash dumps and revealing their true biblical context. Featuring scriptural references and insights from J. Warner Wallace, this episode is perfect for anyone curious about the history, theology, and misconceptions surrounding Hell.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

  13. 14

    Is Hell Coercion?

Hell isn’t about God forcing us to worship, but the natural result of freely choosing to reject Him. Just as a fish suffers outside water, we suffer when separated from the source of life. God’s love, displayed on the cross, is meant to draw us to Him—not threats or fear. Join us this week as we explore why Hell is a consequence, not coercion, and how love is the true motivation for submission.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Is God a Narcissist for commanding Worship?

Join us for a biblically grounded discussion on whether God’s command for worship is self-centered or rooted in His unique nature. This episode explores what worship truly means, why humans are created in God’s image, and how the Bible distinguishes God’s character from ours. We’ll look at why God alone is worthy of worship, how worship shapes our lives, and why God’s commands are for our ultimate good. Drawing from scripture, Christian theology, and cultural insights, we’ll see how worship is not just an action but a way of life that leads to transformation and fulfillment in Christ.Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Did Jesus Claim to be God?

Did Jesus claim to be God? This episode explores how Jesus’ words, actions, and fulfillment of ancient prophecies reveal his divinity—even though he never directly said “I am God.” Through culturally meaningful statements, miracles, and the acceptance of worship, Jesus made claims that his followers and critics understood as divine. Early Christian writers and historical evidence further support that Jesus’ identity as God was recognized from the very beginning of Christianity. Subscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/

Where to start reading the Bible (and where not to)

If you’re exploring Christianity and wondering where to start reading the Bible, this episode is for you. In my personal opinion, the best place for seekers isn’t Genesis, but the New Testament—especially the Gospels. I’ll share why meeting Jesus first makes the rest of Scripture come alive, offer practical tips for beginning your reading journey, and explain how the Old Testament gains new meaning once you know the heart of the story. Jordan Peterson misrepresenting Christianity to a truth-seeking Atheist

In this episode, I respond to the recent Jubilee podcast featuring Jordan Peterson vs 20 Atheists, with a particular focus on his exchange with a young woman named Zena. While Peterson often brings sharp philosophical insight, his approach to Christianity in this conversation deeply misrepresents the faith — and I’m here to unpack why.Peterson’s attempt to reframe the Gospel into abstract psychology or archetypal myth falls far short of the biblical message. In his discussion with Zena, the heart of Christian truth—the person and work of Jesus Christ, sin, grace, and redemption—is muddled or ignored altogether.Join me as I break down what went wrong in that moment, where Peterson veers off the path of sound theology, and why a proper biblical defense of the faith matters now more than ever.🙌 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share if you want more Christ-centered commentary on today’s cultural conversations.#JordanPeterson #JubileePodcast #Christianity #Apologetics #PresuppositionalApologetics #BiblicalTruth #AtheismDebate #ChristianResponse #JubileeMediaSubscribe to Truth Anchored on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TruthAnchoredPodcastFollow me on Social Media/Check out my music: https://linktr.ee/brandonanchantCheck out my blog: https://apologeticsforthechurch.org/blog/
