The show highlights inspiring stories and initiatives, embodying the diocese’s call to be “A Diocese on Mission.” The spirit of the podcast is inspired Bishop Robert Gruss, who says "we must live with an unshakeable confidence in the Lordship of Jesus. He has a plan – a great plan – for us. ...We must become a Church on mission! We cannot continue to do what we have always done. Men's Conference: “Battling Against the Spiritual Forces of Evil”
In this episode, John Gonzalez engages in conversation with Karl White, one of the organizers behind the Saginaw Catholic Men's Conference, set to take place on March 14th at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bay City. The theme for this year’s conference is “Battling Against the Spiritual Forces of Evil,” drawing inspiration from Ephesians 6:12.Participants can look forward to presentations from Bishop Robert Gruss, Dr. Dan Schneider, and Dr. David Anders, who will delve into subjects such as spiritual warfare and how to resist evil in everyday life. Additionally, the event will provide chances for private confession, serve lunch courtesy of Cardinal Deli, and encourage attendees to form small men's groups aimed at fostering spiritual growth and mutual accountability.The cost to register is $30 if done ahead of time (through Eventbrite or saginaw.org) and $35 at the entrance. Those who are priests, deacons, religious individuals, or under 21 can join for free. A team of around 12 volunteers from various parishes and backgrounds collaborates to organize and bring this event to fruition.
