What does real faith look like behind prison walls?In September 2024—before the Unlimited Faith Ministry Podcast officially existed—we had the privilege of recording the testimonies of three men incarcerated at North Branch Correctional Institution (NBCI) who attend the daily Bible study led by Julio. Because we didn’t yet have a podcast platform at the time, these testimonies were originally shared on our blog. They received very little attention—but today we're going to fix that!In this episode, you’ll hear directly from these men as they share how Jesus met them in the midst of incarceration, transformed their hearts, and continues to walk with them daily. We’re grateful to share that not only are these men still attending Bible study today, but they are still walking faithfully with Christ—along with additional men who have since joined.These testimonies are a powerful reminder that the Gospel is alive and active, even behind prison walls. In this first episode of the Unlimited Faith Ministry Podcast, co-founder Julio Aguilar shares the beginning of his testimony and how Jesus found him in one of the darkest moments of his life. At 25 years old, Julio was incarcerated in 2005 for a crime he did not commit. Only a few days into jail, overwhelmed and without hope, he unexpectedly encountered the presence of God — and everything changed.Julio explains how he had spent years brushing off the gospel, even as people tried to reach him. Yet in the place he least expected, the Lord broke through the darkness and began transforming his heart. The Lord also used a fellow inmate, Curtis, whose faith and invitation to a Bible study became a turning point in Julio’s journey.This episode encourages believers to pray for and reach out to those who are hurting or feeling lost.
