We will take a closer look at this third blessing and how the book of Ruth ends. Discussion Question: The Book of Ruth began with Naomi's emptiness and ends with Naomi's joy. In what ways has God brought you from a place of emptiness to a place of joy and hope?

    Last week we left off where Ruth made a bold request to marry Boaz. He commends her and vows to make sure she is protected... But Boaz being a man of standing, reveals there is another guardian-redeemer who is closer to Ruth than himself. He must be given the chance to redeem Ruth first.Discussion Questions: In Ruth 4:1-12, compare the actions of Boaz with "So and So" (the unnamed relative). How can we apply the principle of "redeeming" or "loving others" when it comes at great cost to ourselves?

    Continuing our study in Ruth, Naomi puts it on herself to find a home for Ruth. What she tells her to do is bold an potentially dangerous. Ruth does what she asks and takes the risk.Discussion Question: Waiting vs. Taking Action. How can we balance taking initiative in our lives (like Ruth in 3:3) while waiting patiently for God's timing (like Ruth in 3:18)?

    We continue our study through the book of Ruth. Ruth "just so happened" to be gleaning in the field of a man named Boaz. Who "just so happened" to be a family guarding-redeemer.Discussion Question: What is a "It just so happened" moment in your life where God's hand was guiding you, though you didn't know it.

In the first part of Chapter 1, Paul, greets his brothers and sisters in Christ and is so thankful for them all the support they have show him. He encourages them to grow in the love of knowledge and insight so that they can discern what is best. That they would be pure, blameless, and be filled with the fruit of righteousness.Do we strive to grow in these ways? That we to may be pure, blameless and filled with the fruit of righteousness.

    Today we move on to the second half of the Book of Daniel. Where things get much more complicated. Daniel's writing style changes from Narrative (1-6) to Apocalyptic Literature (7-12) as he recounts 4 symbolic visions. Pastor Travis takes us thought the first of these divinely given visions in Daniel 7.

    Pastor Travis takes us through Daniel 6. Where some of the administrators and high offers were jealous of Daniel. They tried to find something to criticize or condemn him for, but they could find nothing. So they conspired to make a law that would contradict loyalty to his God. That would be the only way to trap him.Do we live our lives in such a way that our enemies would have to make up "laws" in order for them to find fault in us?Would we still follow God if it goes against the crowd or even if it is life threatening?

    Pastor Travis takes us through Daniel 5. Where King Belshazzar throws a large banquet, but it is brought to a sobering end, when fingers of a human hand appear writing in the plaster on the wall.

    Pastor Taylor takes on Father's Day service by continuing our study through Daniel. Where we learn about King Nebuchadnezzar's pride and how God is the one who is in control.

    Pastor Weston takes us though Daniel 3. Where we see that even though King Nebuchadnezzar has set up a gold image and decrees that all should worship it or be burned in a furnace. Three Jewish men refuse. They do not give in to the pressure. Do we live our lives in such a way that we too, would not cave in times of pressure, but stand firm in our loyalty to God?
