We start our study through the book of James. James teaches us two things about trials. That they are inevitable and that they have a purpose. Discussion/Reflection: Memorize James 1:2-4. Pastor Travis takes us through Psalm 107. A psalm that calles people to praise God for His deliverance and rescue thay have experienced.Reflection/Discussion:What is a predicament (sin, trial, crisis) from which God has delivered you? (Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story!)

The center point of today's Psalm is a request of God to teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.Discussion Question: Think upon the certainty of your death. How does this knowledge make you wise for living?

Mister Brown takes us through Psalm 73. Where we look at how when we do the right things and it feels like everything is going wrong, But others do the wrong things and it feels like everything is going right for them.

Pastor Eric Takes us through Psalm 42. Where the Psalmist is "Singing the Blues" as he goes through difficult times but yet he knows he still has hope. Discussion Questions:What biblical truths do you know that can help when feeling depressed?How has God come through for you when you you were downcast and disturbed?What helps you when you are down?

In this 5 week study we will be looking over 5 different Psalms. Today Pastor Travis will be taking us through Psalm 1, where the Psalmist is describing the good life. A life of delight, effectiveness and purpose.Discussion Questions:What challenges do you face when reading the Bible?Rather than treating it as a duty, what practical steps can you take to "delight in" and "meditate on" God's Word?

Boaz steps up as Guarding Redeemer and the elders and townspeople declare their witness and pronounce a three-fold blessing on him. We will take a closer look at this third blessing and how the book of Ruth ends. Discussion Question: The Book of Ruth began with Naomi's emptiness and ends with Naomi's joy. In what ways has God brought you from a place of emptiness to a place of joy and hope?

Last week we left off where Ruth made a bold request to marry Boaz. He commends her and vows to make sure she is protected... But Boaz being a man of standing, reveals there is another guardian-redeemer who is closer to Ruth than himself. He must be given the chance to redeem Ruth first.Discussion Questions: In Ruth 4:1-12, compare the actions of Boaz with "So and So" (the unnamed relative). How can we apply the principle of "redeeming" or "loving others" when it comes at great cost to ourselves?

Continuing our study in Ruth, Naomi puts it on herself to find a home for Ruth. What she tells her to do is bold an potentially dangerous. Ruth does what she asks and takes the risk.Discussion Question: Waiting vs. Taking Action. How can we balance taking initiative in our lives (like Ruth in 3:3) while waiting patiently for God's timing (like Ruth in 3:18)?

We continue our study through the book of Ruth. Ruth "just so happened" to be gleaning in the field of a man named Boaz. Who "just so happened" to be a family guarding-redeemer.Discussion Question: What is a "It just so happened" moment in your life where God's hand was guiding you, though you didn't know it.

Pastor Travis takes us through the second part of chapter 1. Here we see Naomi returning to her homeland. She tells her daughters-in-law to return to their families because she has nothing left to give.

Pastor Travis takes us into the book of Ruth. Where Elimelek finds himself in a famine. He moves him and his wife and their two sons to Moab. Away from their family. To a strange land where they have no roots.

Mister Brown reminds us of 5 promises of God and an easy way to remember them.

Dr. Rich Brown talks about the "Gap" between what we have and what we don't have. Is it full of discontentment? If so how to we go from being discontent to content?

Pastor Travis takes us through the last message in our 2025 Advent series and our Candlelight Service. We hear the Angels song of peace and goodwill. That Jesus is God's gift to save us from our sins.

Pastor Travis walks us through Zechariah's song. It is a song about God acting at long last on the behalf of Israel and how his son will prepare the way for the One that will save them.

As we continue are study through Philippians. Paul gives them (and us) the best counsel in regards to anxiety and fears that plague our thoughts, hearts, and bodies.

Pastor Travis continues our study in Philippians. Where Paul emphasize that the Church does not live like the pagans who don't know God, but are to reflect Christ as King in the land we live.

In today's study with Pastor Travis, Paul addresses the question "How can a person be accepted by God, approved by Him, and gain access as a true member of God's family?" Is it your Bloodline? Your behavior? Your obedience to the Law?

Pastor Weston invites us to approach Philippians as if Paul is guiding and training the church to use the proper lense to see life with the proper focus. Just as a Photographer dose with their camera.

In today's reading Paul's letter shifts into instruction on how to live as Christ followers. We must allow Christ to transform our minds into a new way of thinking.

Pastor Travis takes us into Philippians 1:12-26. He goes over how Paul writes about how him being in prison has served to advance the gospel. Even though he would love to be with Christ he is convinced that remaining is more beneficial to the church.

In the first part of Chapter 1, Paul, greets his brothers and sisters in Christ and is so thankful for them all the support they have show him. He encourages them to grow in the love of knowledge and insight so that they can discern what is best. That they would be pure, blameless, and be filled with the fruit of righteousness.Do we strive to grow in these ways? That we to may be pure, blameless and filled with the fruit of righteousness.

Pastor Travis wraps up our Valley Mission series focusing on Equip.

Pastor Weston continues through our Valley Mission series focusing on "Teach". Diving deeper we see that a person does not reach spiritual maturity in their complete independence, but rather in their complete Him-dependence. It is the growth of Christ in us that brings maturity.

Pastor Taylor continues our journey through our Valley Mission series. Focusing on the theme, Family and how should we treat others, even our enemies.

Diving into our new 4 week series, Valley Mission, we will go through why we exist. Our Mission is not something WE created, but what God has assigned for all His churches. Here at VC Family we use 4 words to describe our mission: Reach, Teach, Equip, and Family. Today we consider the first word of our mission: Reach.

Pastor Travis closes out our study of Daniel by reading the last chapter, 12. Verse 1 continues the vision where we left off and it presents one question, Will God's people endure when evil does its worst? The answer Daniel receives is a resounding Yes.

Pastor Travis takes us through Daniel 11 where the angel expands upon the previous vision given to Daniel.

Pastor Travis continues our study through Daniel. Chapter 10 is the introduction to Daniel's vision, which "pulls back the curtain" for Daniel and us. We see the spiritual activity and warfare happening in the unseen realm. Our prayers are more crucial than you think.

Guest Speaker Phil Vaughn asks us, "What do we pursue?". Is it happiness, meaning, relationships, or financial security? How can we put pursuing Christlikeness at the top of agenda? and What does it actually mean to pursue Christlikeness?

Guest speaker, Dr Rich Brown, takes us through 1 Timothy 1:12-17. He asks the questions, What did God do to change your life?, How does what God did change your life?, and Why did God change your life?

Pastor Travis takes us through Daniel 8. We learn about Daniel's second vision from God. This vision zooms in to some specific events with dark times awaiting God's people, yet they are not without hope.

Today we move on to the second half of the Book of Daniel. Where things get much more complicated. Daniel's writing style changes from Narrative (1-6) to Apocalyptic Literature (7-12) as he recounts 4 symbolic visions. Pastor Travis takes us thought the first of these divinely given visions in Daniel 7.

Pastor Travis takes us through Daniel 6. Where some of the administrators and high offers were jealous of Daniel. They tried to find something to criticize or condemn him for, but they could find nothing. So they conspired to make a law that would contradict loyalty to his God. That would be the only way to trap him.Do we live our lives in such a way that our enemies would have to make up "laws" in order for them to find fault in us?Would we still follow God if it goes against the crowd or even if it is life threatening?

Pastor Travis takes us through Daniel 5. Where King Belshazzar throws a large banquet, but it is brought to a sobering end, when fingers of a human hand appear writing in the plaster on the wall.

Pastor Taylor takes on Father's Day service by continuing our study through Daniel. Where we learn about King Nebuchadnezzar's pride and how God is the one who is in control.

Pastor Weston takes us though Daniel 3. Where we see that even though King Nebuchadnezzar has set up a gold image and decrees that all should worship it or be burned in a furnace. Three Jewish men refuse. They do not give in to the pressure. Do we live our lives in such a way that we too, would not cave in times of pressure, but stand firm in our loyalty to God?

As we go through Daniel 2 Pastor Travis talks about Nebuchadnezzar's dream and how Daniel responses to it.

Pastor Travis takes us through the rest of chapter 1 of Daniel. As we learn how Daniel would stand with God when opportunities to stand against God are presented to him.

Pastor Travis starts off our study through the book of Daniel. We will explore the two themes in Daniel.1. In spite of present difficulties, God is in control and will have the final victory.2. How to live faithfully to God in exile, while surviving and thriving in the mist of an ungodly culture.
