Voice of Pentecost

All the Church will stand before Christ at His reward seat. Each individual life will be viewed in retrospect and rewarded accordingly. On this last service of 2023, we need to take a look at the year in retrospect and analyze our own successes and failures.

The second lesson in a series concerning the fact that the God of the Bible is THE Supreme God of the universe. I apologize for the low volume level at the beginning. I am using a different recorder.

God reigns supreme. Luther said to Erasmus, “Your thinking of God is too human”. This is the problem with current society. It must not be a problem in the Church.

John, in his letter to the church, warns against being a lover of the world. Contextually, the world is that system of governance that is against God. The world is competing for the church.

David appealed to the righteous judgment of God to suppress the rebellion of Absalom.

Matthew 7:22-23 gives understanding that performing the miraculous is not enough to get one to heaven. You must know God.

God redeemed Israel from Egyptian bondage and led them throttle wilderness. He will see the redeemed Church through this world of sin.

The prayers of David, when he is fleeing Absalom’s rebellion, are relevant for God’s people in distress.
