HAPPY NEW YEAR!! No better way to start the new year than in the arms of the Shepherd. Where or what is home for you?   Today, you can experience, "dwelling in the house of the Lord"

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Without the Birth of Jesus, there would have been no death of Jesus. Without the death of Jesus, there would have been no resurrection of Jesus. Without the Resurrection of Jesus, there would be no eternal Life for us.   Jesus came to pour out on us abundantly. If He's filled your cup today, who are you pouring out on

Where the Lord is taking us can feel like forever, especially if you can't see clearly. The beauty of the Shepherd preparing a table in the presence of our enemies, is that everything is already Prepared! We're not heading to a place that will need to be prepared. Wherever the Lord is taking you, on this side of Heaven, rest in the truth that everything is prepared. Just like Heaven!

In the Valley there will be shadows. Each shadow is meant to pull you away from the Shepherd is leading you. However, Jesus is there!   If you're in the valley, it's the best place to be because Jesus is there too!

The path that the Shepherd leads His sheep on are not just good paths. They are right paths. They must be right otherwise it affects His name "He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake"

Psalm 23:3a : "He restores my soul" Who is He? and how exactly does He do this? Every soul is hungry and thirsty daily. It is a need that no one can physically satisfy as we have no physical access to our inward soul. In order for our souls to be satisfied and restored, someone MUST enter us. This is the Most Important Piece to a restored soul. It's impossible to have a restored soul without someone living inside of it, restoring it. Impossible!

" He leads me..." there's only one person who can fulfill that word "He" Who is your "He"? Whoever or whatever that "He" is in your life affects that satisfaction and rest of your soul.

How is a sheep made to lie down in green pastures? In the same way the sheep is made to rest, is the same way our souls are made to rest. In a world where our soul's cry is for rest, it needs to lie down.   Listen, to find out how!

If you have not heard part 1, please go listen to that one first! In this episode I share how Jesus had to reveal to me that I was believing the voice of a stranger. This voice was not only robbing my rest (walking in what Jesus has completed for me), but it was also robbing me of the gift of conception. Hearing the voice of Jesus is vital for our rest. Whatever voice we follow will either lead us to rest or rob us. There is only One voice that can lead to Rest Listen to find out more!

It isn't until we confess that we can see healing. No one receives or seeks a solution for a need that they aren't either aware of or have confessed a need of. If we've received rest from Jesus, it is because we have been made aware of our need for it and have confessed it This need of rest is not for our bodies. Rest is a supernatural gift, given to us from our unseen God but it's impossible to receive a gift from an unseen God that we don't believe in. It is also impossible for us to believe in an unseen God if we don't have proof of an unseen God! Good thing God gives us evidence of the unseen. This evidence of the unseen is called Faith! This is where Rest from Jesus begins. Do you have Faith? If you have Faith, do you ask for more daily? It is such a valuable gift to receive Evidence of the unseen from our unseen God, DAILY! but He only gives it to those who believes in His evidence. Many of us miss out on what more Jesus can give us of Himself, because we are too afraid to lose for Him. I believe that Jesus gives to us, so that we have something to give to Him. If we are never willing to give what Jesus has given us, how can we be trusted with more to be given to us? This cycle of Gaining with Jesus starts with Losing for Jesus and ends with Giving for the Glory of God. Rest is not about what we can do to get it It's about Who Gives it and that's Jesus. The problem we run into with having anything good in our life is that we think we are the answer to obtaining it. Rest is a good thing, but it is not obtained by any good that we do. Have you ever tried and tried to rest and still found yourself struggling to rest? How many things have you tried, to help yourself to rest? Mark 6 says that the disciples didn't understand the miracle of the bread. It didn't say the miracle of the feeding of the 5000 or the miracle of the fish and bread. It just says the Miracle of the Bread. Why the Bread?   The Miracle of the Bread is more than it feeding the 5000. Jesus is that bread. He's the bread of Life that fills us and change us. But if we don't understand the miracle of the bread, it could prevent us from sharing it with others. And if we're not eating of the bread ourselves to change and fill us from within, that too can prevent us from sharing it with others.   Have we eaten of this bread?  If so, are we eating and digesting it daily? It will change us and make us want more!   Do we really understand the miracle of the bread? Everybody needs help, yet very few of us are willing to admit that. It takes admitting the need of help before asking for the need of help. Thank Jesus, He didn't wait for us to ask for Help. He sent Help. Achsah ( Daughter of Caleb)  is a sweet woman in the Bible who shows us what it's like to ask for this kind of Help that Jesus provides. The Bible compares us humans to grass. As grass grows old and shrivels up, so do we. Yet so often we find ourselves trusting in ourselves or other people.   The Bible compares the good things about the grass to flowers As flowers fade away, so does the "good" things of this earth. Yet so often we find ourselves trusting in the wealth and beauty of this world.   Are we trusting in the flowers of life, our grassy selves or in Jesus who can't pass or fade away? When we accept Jesus into our hearts, He never leaves us. However, it is indeed possible for us to leave Him. This happens when we don't include Him in the things that we do. This is a story about a lady who accepted Jesus, but then left Him while He was teaching, to go do things that she thought would please Him. The best thing about being cleansed is the reward of feeling refreshed and rested. However, the hardest part about being cleansed is being told you're dirty. Being physically dirty reveals what's on us but being spiritually dirty reveals what's in us. Every storm in life has a purpose, and ultimately it's so that Jesus is known and glorified. But it's more beautiful and deeper than you think. Not knowing who Jesus really is, PERSONALLY, will affect our worship In this particular storm, the disciples (followers of Jesus) on the boat didn't worship Jesus until they knew who He really was! While the water was piling into the boat, Jesus slept. He rested. As a Teacher, Jesus is always teaching a lesson. Here He shows us what to do, when things start to pile up. And that is to follow His lead in resting WITH Him, in the midst of our storms. In the Rest, He always takes care of the cause of the storm and brings peace. The women in the Resurrection Story were used so beautifully for Jesus. There is so much we can learn from them in this story. One beautiful truth from this story: When we COME, looking for Jesus, we will FIND Him. When we COME, looking for Jesus, we will FIND His REST. Our hearts are necessary for survival and what the heart needs is necessary for life. Oftentimes, we get mad at God for not giving us what we verbally ask for, when in reality, He's looking at our hearts and giving us what we need for survival. What we need for survival in our eyes may not be what we need for survival in the eyes of God. Anxiety is not something you can just overcome on your own. It is not something you just “have to get over.” Doing anything in your own strength will only make things worse (Philippians 4:6-7). Anxiety is something that the Bible tells us not to do, but the reality is that just because we know what not to do doesn’t mean that we know how to not do what we shouldn’t. Paul says we desire to do good but don’t know how to (Romans 7:18-19). Rest from Jesus comes when we can admit we cannot fix our problems.
