Industry vs. Busyness
In this episode of Wisdom & Virtue, Ms. Craft is joined by a special guest — her husband, Mr. Craft — for an honest conversation about the difference between being truly industrious and simply busy. Together, they unpack how busyness can sometimes disguise itself as productivity while actually pulling us away from reflection, relationships, and rest in God. They explore practical ways to pursue meaningful work, build rhythms of rest, and anchor daily life in purpose rather than pressure. Whether you're a student, teacher, or parent, this episode invites you to pause, breathe, and consider: What are you really working toward — fruitfulness or frenzy?

What is Leisure?
In this episode of Wisdom and Virtue, we explore the often-overlooked virtue of leisure. What does it truly mean to rest, reflect, and enjoy life in a way that honors God? Ms. Craft and Ms. Stone discuss how leisure is more than downtime—it's a gift, a discipline, and an opportunity to cultivate wisdom, gratitude, and joy. From balancing work and rest to discovering purposeful moments of reflection, we unpack how leisure can shape our hearts, minds, and daily rhythms.

Perfectionism vs. Order
In this episode, we dig into the difference between living with healthy order and falling into the trap of perfectionism. Order, when rooted in wisdom and balance, brings peace and freedom. Perfectionism, however, often leaves us anxious, paralyzed, and robbed of joy. Together, we explore how to recognize the warning signs when order slips into perfectionism, how this struggle can distort our view of God, ourselves, and others, and what it looks like for students (and adults!) to pursue order in practical ways. We also share personal stories, biblical examples, and encouragement for how to strive for excellence without being enslaved to impossible standards. Finally, we leave you with a challenge to notice where perfectionism is creeping in this week—and to invite God's grace to bring peace instead.

What is Virtue?
In this episode of Wisdom and Virtue, we're asking a big question: What exactly is virtue? We'll explore its roots in classical thought and the Christian tradition, look at how it differs from values, and talk about why virtue isn't just about looking good but about being formed into the kind of people who love what is good. We'll also get practical—discussing what virtue looks like in daily life and why it matters so much in the life of a school. From classroom conversations to our House system at UCA, we'll share how virtue is practiced, modeled, and even grown through failure and grace. Whether you're a parent, teacher, or student of life, this episode will encourage you to think about virtue not as an abstract idea, but as a habit of excellence rooted in Christ.
