    Consistency After Ramadan

After Ramadan ends, the real question begins: what will we carry forward? Allah reminds us in the Qur'an, “And worship your Lord until there comes to you certainty (death)” (15:99), showing that our عبادات are not limited to a single month, but are meant to continue throughout our lives. In this episode, we reflect on the importance of consistency in our deeds. The Prophet ﷺ, Prophet Muhammad, said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small” (Bukhari & Muslim). This serves as a reminder that what matters most after Ramadan is not perfection, but استمرار—continuity. The episode also highlights the reward and significance of fasting six days in Shawwal. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the entire year” (Muslim). A simple yet powerful opportunity to extend the روح of Ramadan beyond the month itself.Allah also says: “Indeed, those who have said, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then remained steadfast—the angels will descend upon them…” (41:30). True success is not in how we start, but in how we remain firm. This episode is a reminder to hold on whether it is your salah, your Qur’an, or your fasting and to let Ramadan be the beginning of something consistent, not something temporary.

Call Upon Allah While You Still Can

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ascended the pulpit and he said, “Amin, amin, amin.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said amin, amin, amin.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Gabriel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say amin. I said amin. Whoever sees his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and he does not honor them and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say amin. I said amin. Whoever has your name mentioned in his presence and he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say amin. I said amin.”Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 907Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Arna’utI heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it. It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound. Reference : Hadith 34, 40 Hadith Qudsi

He is not far. He is right here, with you, even in this moment of pain. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, please make Dua for the brothers/cousins that passed away. May Allah have mercy on Yusuf Attahir Yusuf, Muhammad Attahir Yusuf, Yusuf Tahir Yunus. May Allah make it easy for their families and reunite them in the highest rank of Jannah. Ameen thuma ameen

    Choose Silence Over Sin

The recommended du'a to recite when leaving a gathering is: "Kaffaratul Majlis" (the expiation of assembly). It is recited in Arabic as "Subhanak Allāhumma wa bi hamdika, ash-hadu 'an lā ilāha illā Anta, astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk". The translation is: "Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise is to You. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to YouThis du'a is a tradition based on narrations from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), where he would recite it after every gathering or session. It is believed to help expiate any unintentional wrongdoing that might have occurred during the gathering

Not because anyone’s watching. But because your heart needs Him.This isn’t a lecture. It’s a soft reminder, from one sister to another, that we can do better with our deen. In this episode of Sarah, we explore the strength it takes to show kindness even when others “don’t deserve it.” Through reflections from the Prophet’s (ﷺ) example, real-life scenarios, and a heart-to-heart reminder about who we’re really doing it for, this episode challenges us to rise above ego and embrace the beauty of mercy, patience, and character. Being kind isn’t about them—it’s about you.

    perfectly imperfect

In this episode, we’re talking about being imperfect—and how that’s completely okay. Sometimes we slip, miss a prayer, or just feel off in our deen. But the beauty of Islam is that it’s not about being perfect, it’s about showing up, trying again, and turning back to Allah no matter how many times we fall. This is a reminder for anyone who feels like they’re not “good enough”—you are. And Allah’s mercy is always greater than our mistakes.Because at the end of the day, it’s not about being perfect—it’s about never giving up.

(Tirmidhi 2516)No matter how difficult things may seem, Allah’s plan is always for our ultimate good. As the Prophet ﷺ said:"Wondrous is the affair of the believer! Indeed, all of his affairs are good… If something good happens to him, he is grateful, and that is good for him. If something bad befalls him, he is patient, and that is good for him." In it the gates of the heavens are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, the devils are chained, and in it is a night that is better than a thousand months. Thus, whoever is deprived of its good is truly deprived.Source: Musnad Aḥmad 7148, Grade: Sahih
