Where Did the Time Go? | Allah's Names Ep. 29 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
Ramadan felt like a blink. One day your whole life will too.In this episode, Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on four Names of Allah that reframe everything you feel at the end of Ramadan. The guilt of wasted nights. The panic of time slipping. The fear that none of it was enough. Al-Awwal, Al-Aakhir, Az-Zaahir, Al-Baatin. The First and the Last. The Manifest and the Hidden. Four names in a single breath that frame your entire existence from beginning to end.He was there before your first breath and He will be there when you take your last. You did not stumble into existence by accident. You were thought of, designed, and intended. And every moment you have lived has been under His eternal gaze. When you feel like you are running out of time, remember that the One who started everything started you too.He is evident in every sunrise, every moment of protection, every relief after a despair you thought would never end. And He is nearer than your thoughts, closer than your pulse. He knows the fear before you name it and the hope you are too ashamed to say out loud. You are never alone. Not in your highest moment. Not in your lowest. And when time feels like it is running out, the Prophet (PBUH) said that if the final hour arrives and you are still holding a seed, plant it. You will not see it grow. You will not taste its fruit. But nothing you do for Allah is ever wasted.Even if the world is ending, plant the seed.00:00 Ramadan Is Almost Over. So Is Your Time.00:44 You Were Never Lost in Time. The Name You Call Upon on Laylatul Qadr | Allah's Names Ep. 27 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
What if one sentence could erase your entire record? On Laylatul Qadr, our mother Aisha (RA) did not ask for a list. She asked one question. The Prophet (PBUH) did not give her a ladder to climb or a prayer to memorize. He gave her one name of Allah, one attribute, and one ask: O Allah, You are Al-'Afuww, the Pardoner. You love to pardon. So pardon me.In this episode, Dr. Omar Suleiman draws a clear line between Al-Maghfirah, forgiveness, and Al-'Afuww, pardon. Forgiveness covers a sin and protects you from its consequence. Pardon removes the trace entirely, as if the sin never existed. The scholars describe it as a wind sweeping the desert floor so that not even a footprint remains. That is the level of mercy this supplication is reaching for, and it is available to anyone who asks with a sincere heart on Laylatul Qadr. The story of Abu Bakr (RA) and his relative Mustah brings this out of theology and into real life. Mustah was someone Abu Bakr financially supported, and he was among those who slandered the Prophet's wife, Aisha (RA). When Abu Bakr found out, he cut off the support. Allah then revealed a verse asking whether Abu Bakr would not love for Allah to pardon him. Abu Bakr did not just forgive Mustah. He restored everything he had been giving him, as if nothing had ever happened. That is what Al-'Afuww looks like when it lives inside a person.Dr. Omar also walks through the Sunnah practice of seeking pardon three times every single day, through the morning and evening remembrances and the final two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah before sleep. These are not just rituals. They are a daily conversation with the one Name of Allah that can wipe a record clean and open every door that sin has closed. This episode begins with a personal dedication from one brother to another, asking him to care for someone they both love. It is a reminder that on the nights when we carry the heaviest things to Allah, we do not come alone.00:00 The Question Aisha (RA) Asked on Laylatul Qadr01:17 The One Dua for the Night of Power03:05 What Al-'Afuww Actually Means05:57 Allah Loves to Pardon. Did Allah Forget About Me? | Allah's Names Ep. 26 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
Have you ever looked at someone else’s life and wondered why blessings seem to reach them so easily while you struggle to receive? Many people quietly carry questions like whether Allah truly loves them, why hardship keeps appearing in their lives, or why it sometimes feels like their du‘as are unanswered.Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on three of the most hope-giving Names of Allah: Al-Jawaad, Al-Mannaan, and Al-Wahhaab. Through these Names we begin to understand how Allah’s generosity works, how divine blessings unfold in our lives, and why what feels like delay or hardship is not a sign of rejection. The Qur’an reminds us that Allah gives in ways that go far beyond human logic. Sometimes His generosity appears as visible blessings. Other times it appears as guidance, forgiveness, or protection from things we never saw coming. These Names reveal a Lord who gives before we ask, reshapes lives with immense favors, and grants gifts purely out of love and mercy. For anyone wrestling with feelings of unworthiness, sadness, or spiritual heaviness, these Names offer a powerful reminder that Allah’s generosity continues even when our circumstances feel uncertain. Understanding blessings in Islam through the Names of Allah transforms how we see hardship, gratitude, and hope.By reflecting on Al-Jawaad (The Most Generous), Al-Mannaan (The Bestower of Favors), and Al-Wahhaab (The Giver of Gifts), we are reminded that Allah’s mercy reaches us before our hands are raised, His favors reshape our stories, and His gifts are granted far beyond what we could ever deserve.00:00 Grace Without Reason01:15 Al-Jawwad The One Who Gives Before You Ask02:26 Embodying Overflowing Generosity04:53 Al-Mannaan The Bestower of Life-Changing Favors06:35 Give Without Reminders or Harm09:00 Al-Wahhaab The Giver of Pure Gifts11:49 The Three Currents of Divine Grace12:29 Let Your Generosity Reflect His13:42 Closing Du'a: A Du'a For When Blessings Feel Distanthttps://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

What Happens Between You and Allah In Prayer | Allah's Names Ep. 25 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
Why does Islam ask Muslims to stop everything and pray five times a day, even when life feels overwhelming and busy?Salah is not meant to interrupt life. It's meant to reorient it.In this episode, Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on the deeper meaning of prayer through the Names of Allah revealed in every movement of salah. From the opening declaration of “Allahu Akbar,” reflecting the greatness of Al-Kabeer, to bowing in ruku before Al-’Adheem, to finding closeness in sujood with Al-A’laa, and finally greeting Al-Majeed in the closing of the prayer, salah becomes a journey through the greatness, majesty, and glory of Allah.Through powerful reflections on the universality of prayer, the rhythm of the five daily prayers, and the way salah pulls the believer out of distraction and back into remembrance, this episode explores why prayer is one of the greatest sources of grounding and spiritual clarity in Islam. For anyone wondering why Muslims pray five times a day, how to find focus in salah, or how prayer brings peace in the middle of a busy world, this reflection reveals how the Names of Allah transform every posture of prayer into a moment of presence with Him.00:00 Why Salah Matters01:35 Presence With Allah02:10 A Universal Pause for Prayer03:23 The Journey of Salah03:39 Allahu Akbar and Al-Kabeer05:21 Ruku and Al-’Adheem08:36 Sujood and Al-A’laa10:53 Tashahhud and Al-Majeed13:17 Living the Reality of Salah14:34 Closing Du'a: A Du’a to Recenter Your Heart on Allahhttps://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Why Does Allah Ask Us To Be Patient? | Allah's Names Ep. 24 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
What do you do when the people around you keep testing your limits?Patience in Islam isn’t weakness. The Prophet ﷺ said that no one has ever been given a gift more vast than patience. But patience isn’t simply waiting. It shows itself in how we control anger, endure hardship, and deal with difficult people without losing our integrity. In this episode, Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on the Divine Names As-Saboor (The Most Patient), Al-Haleem (The Forbearing), Al-‘Aliyy (The Most High), and Al-Muta’aaly (The Supremely Exalted). Through these Names, we’re reminded that Allah’s patience with us should shape how we respond when others test us.Patience appears in different moments of a believer’s life. Sometimes it’s resisting a temptation even when it’s within reach. Sometimes it’s enduring hardship without losing trust in Allah. And sometimes it’s remaining calm when someone’s behavior pushes you toward anger. If you’ve ever struggled with anger or wondered how to deal with difficult people without losing yourself in the process, this reflection speaks directly to that experience. Islam doesn’t ask us to suppress emotion or ignore injustice. It teaches us how to rise above it without losing our character.Allah sees every moment of restraint that no one else notices. Every time you hold back your anger, remain steady in hardship, or choose dignity over retaliation, it matters. The Qur’an promises that those who are patient will be rewarded without measure. When you feel provoked, overwhelmed, or small in the face of difficult people, remember who is above it all. Allah sees what you can’t see, knows what you don’t know, and rewards patience in ways far greater than we can imagine.Watch this reflection to rediscover the strength of patience and how faith teaches us to rise above anger, hardship, and the people who test us the most.00:00 Patience: The Greatest Gift00:49 Allah’s Perfect Timing02:11 Patience Through Fasting02:54 The Woman Who Chose Jannah04:25 The Different Types of Patience05:32 Al-Haleem: The Forbearing07:55 Prophetic Examples of Forbearance09:52 Al-‘Aliyy: The Most Exalted10:44 Al-Muta’aaly: Beyond All Limits12:12 Names That Teach Us to Trust12:55 Closing Du’a: A Du’a for Patience in Trials and Temptationshttps://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Why Does Allah Give Some People More Than Others? | Allah's Names Ep. 21 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
What does it mean to trust Allah when your provision feels uncertain, delayed, or unevenly distributed around you?In this episode, Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on the Names Ar-Razzaaq, Al-Kareem, and Al-Akram — unpacking what it really means that Allah is the Provider, not just a provider. Through the story of Maryam (as) and Zakariyya (as), we're reminded that provision in Islam is far more expansive than a paycheck and far more intentional than we imagine. Your health, your time, your relationships — even love and romance — are all forms of rizq from a Lord who gives with purpose. From unexpected doors opening to doors mercifully closed, this episode reframes how we understand sustenance: not as something we earn alone, but as everything Allah uses to nourish your body, heart, and soul. Why Doesn’t Allah Stop Injustice Immediately? | Allah's Names Ep. 20 | Dr. Omar Suleiman | Ramadan Series 2026
The ache for justice is one of the most powerful emotions we carry. When someone is wronged, something deep inside us longs for balance to be restored. But human courts are limited. They can only judge what is visible and proven.True justice requires more than a verdict. It requires a Reckoner who saw everything: the hidden tears, the intentions no one heard, the apologies never spoken, and every quiet act of cruelty or kindness. In this episode, Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on the Divine Names that reveal how Allah establishes perfect justice: Al-Adl (The Just), Al-Muqsit (The Equitable), Al-Hakam (The Final Judge), and Al-Haseeb (The Reckoner). While injustice may seem to prevail in this world, Allah never forgets a wrong. Every action is accounted for, every oppression answered, and every truth ultimately brought to light.Through stories from the early Muslims and reflections on the Qur’an, this episode reminds us that justice is not delayed without purpose. The scales are never abandoned. They are simply waiting for the moment when they will be set perfectly right.00:00 The Heart’s Longing for Justice00:44 Allah Never Wrongs Anyone01:29 What True Justice Means02:14 The Justice of Allah03:14 Being Just Even Against Yourself03:34 The Story of Ali and the Armor05:30 Al-Muqsit and Perfect Equity07:00 Al-Hakam: The Final Judge08:49 When Human Courts Fail09:25 Al-Hasib: The Reckoner of Everything10:16 Swift Reckoning on the Day of Judgment11:07 Comfort and Accountability11:36 Closing Du'a for Justicehttps://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

But real peace doesn’t come from controlling the world — it comes from knowing the One who’s perfect above it.Drawing from the angels’ constant tasbih, the du’a of Yunus (AS) in the depths of the ocean, the meaning of spiritual purification, and the promise of salaam in the Hereafter, this reminder shows how stillness is found in knowing Allah’s perfection, trusting His plan, and remembering His reward in Jannah.Peace begins when you know Him as Al-Quddus — the Most Pure — and As-Salam — the Source of Peace. It deepens in salah, spreads through salam, and settles in the heart that trusts Him.If the noise of this world has left you restless, this reflection will help you return to the Source of calm.Dr. Omar Suleiman reflects on the Names of Allah Al-Quddus and As-Salam and how they anchor the believer in peace even in the middle of life’s storms.00:00 From a Restless World to Real Peace00:56 The Three Foundations of Peace01:33 The Names of Divine Perfection02:50 Worshiping Like the Angels04:44 Tasbih in the Depths of the Ocean05:51 Purified by Al-Quddus07:07 Becoming Worthy of Sacred Spaces08:13 Cleansing the Heart from Within09:43 As-Salam and Peace in Salah11:31 Jannah: The Home of Eternal Peace13:09 Closing Supplicationhttps://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 28 - Your Tahajjud Just Earned You Jannah | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
What did your Tahajjud plant for you? When the world slept, you stood in the stillness of the night, whispering to your Lord. The tears you shed in secret watered a garden unseen—one that now grows in your grave, lighting it with peace. While others fear what awaits them, you have a secret gift, waiting to be unveiled.Tahajjud is not just a prayer—it’s an invitation to nearness. And in the Barzakh, the one who stood before Allah in the night will stand closest to Him in eternity.NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.Download discussion guides for "The Other Side": https://yqn.io/2e7585Captioning provided by Muhsen.https://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 27 - Laylatul Qadr in the Heavens and the Graves | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
What happens in the heavens and the graves on Laylatul Qadr? The angels fill the skies, and destinies are written. The living pray for mercy, while the dead long for one more chance. But this night isn’t just for us—its blessings reach beyond. Your du’a can lift the souls of those who have passed, just as it can change your fate. Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul ‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anna—don’t forget to include them in the "us."NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.Download discussion guides for "The Other Side": https://yqn.io/2e7585Captioning provided by Muhsen.https://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 26 - Your Duas Can Change The Worlds | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not working. Your du’a can strengthen the feet of the oppressed, ease a soul in the grave, or even shift history itself. The martyrs of Gaza may not have seen the victory they set in motion, just as Sumayya (ra) never saw Mecca embrace Islam. But in the Barzakh, they may be greeted with news of their impact. And what about your loved ones who have passed? The Prophet ﷺ said du’a reaches them like gifts of light, easing burdens and raising ranks. If you knew how much your du’a mattered, would you ever stop making it?NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.Download discussion guides for "The Other Side": https://yqn.io/2e7585Captioning provided by Muhsen.https://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 25 - People From a Past Life | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
What is the impact of a sincere du'a made for another? Our lives are an intricate network of interactions, big and small. For those who pray for each other, even just by asking for the forgiveness of the believing men and women, there is an unimaginably big impact across time and space. One day, you'll meet those you prayed for, as well as those who prayed for you. And even if you never met in this life, the bond you share as members of the same ummah is unbreakable.NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.Download discussion guides for "The Other Side": https://yqn.io/2e7585Captioning provided by Muhsen.https://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 24 - Best Friends Forever | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
Who will you be with in the Barzakh? Beyond just your family, you will be reunited with those who were your closest friends in this life. But pause: is this a good thing or a bad thing? Are your friends from the righteous, who encourage you to good, or do you know deep down that they urge you away from your faith? The company you keep will be a major component of your eternity, so choose wisely.NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.Download discussion guides for "The Other Side": https://yqn.io/2e7585Captioning provided by Muhsen.https://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 23 - Your Loved Ones Never Left You | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
Your loved ones who died haven't left you. They've just moved on to the next station of life—and phone service isn't very good there. They're waiting to see you again, and as they wait, they rejoice in your visits to their graves. They celebrate when they hear of your 'ibadah and accomplishments in the dunya. And they are elated to receive the best gift of all that you can possibly give them: your du'a for them.NOTE: All depictions of Barzakh are purely conceptual and only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.Download discussion guides for "The Other Side": https://yqn.io/2e7585Captioning provided by Muhsen.https://yaqeeninstitute.orgNOTE: Only vocals were used in the making of the soundtrack.

Ep. 22 - Why Allah Prescribes You Bitter Medicine | The Other Side: Barzakh and Beyond
Patience and gratitude are the keys to contentment, in this life and the next. For every hardship, patience brings peace and grows gardens of reward. And every moment gift Allah has given you, from the ability to hear Qur'an to the chance to enjoy a bite of food, is an opportunity to say 'Alhamdulillah' with deep sincerity, and allow your thankfulness to flourish. Can we learn how to have both from the example of a limbless father of a dead son?
