On this episode of Your Average Saint, Andrea and Marsha dive into the General Conference message “This Day” by Henry B. Eyring.Elder Eyring teaches that the way we choose to serve the Lord today shapes the strength we’ll have for tomorrow. He reminds us:“Hard as things seem today, they will be better in the next day if you choose to serve the Lord this day with your whole heart… He suffered your infirmities and your sorrows when He was in the flesh so that He would know how to succor you.”This message encourages us not to fall into the mindset that we’ll always have another day to give our best. Repenting and serving today matters. Each day is a gift—and an opportunity to draw closer to the Savior and receive the help He is ready to give.

This week, Marsha and Andrea examine a compilation of some of their most cherished Elder Holland talks that profoundly impacted their understanding and application of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This includes “The Other Prodigal ”,  “Laborers in the Vineyard”  and “The Ministering of Angels”

On this episode, Andrea and Marsha discuss the October 1992 General Conference talk, “Spiritual Bonfires of Testimony,” by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin.Elder Wirthlin compares our testimonies to spiritual bonfires—fires that must be carefully built and consistently maintained. Just like a bonfire provides warmth and protection, a strong testimony can protect and sustain us throughout life.As he teaches:“We are all vulnerable to attack. However, we can fortify ourselves with the protection provided by a burning testimony that, like a bonfire, has been built adequately and maintained carefully.”Throughout history, we’ve seen the Lord make inspired changes to programs within the Church. While programs and procedures may change, our testimony of Jesus Christ is what anchors us. This episode explores the importance of strengthening and nurturing that testimony so it continues to burn brightly, no matter what changes come our way.

Faith in Jesus Christ consists of complete reliance on Him.”Throughout the episode, we share personal experiences of learning to rely on the Lord, trusting His timing, and exercising faith even when answers don’t come right away.

In this episode, we discuss the General Conference talk 'Covenant Belongings' by Gerrit W. Gong with our co-host Marsha Leguizamon. The message emphasizes the importance of covenants through our spiritual journey, that  our safety and peace are found by adhering to them. It highlights that the Lord encourages continual faithfulness to these sacred promises or returning to them if one has strayed. It's a reminder of divine guidance and protection when staying committed to the covenants made with Heavenly Father.

This week our friend David Koons joins us to discuss the talk given by Russell M. Nelson, called the Price of Priesthood Power.  We talk on the importance of living your life in a way that is worthy to have the blessing of the Priesthood.   

Our guest this week is our friend Elaine Koons,  we discuss the talk Prayer by David E. Sorensen.  We talk about the importance of daily prayer and why we need to make time for it.  We also talk about  ways to fit in prayer in our busy lives.  

This week our friend Angel Pherigo joined us to discuss the talk by Russell M. Nelson called The Power of Spiritual Momentum.  Angel tells of her of negative felling towards the church and how she is lead back to the gospel through Spirit . We talk how important it is to keep a spiritual momentum.   

In this episode our friend Paige Thunstrom joins us to talk about Joy D. Jones talk A Sin-Resistant Generation. We discuss the importance of helping to set our children up for success in gaining a testimony. 

This week we Discussed the talk Christ heals that which is broken by Amy A. Wright with our friend Kelle Wallwork.  We talked about how our Savior is aware of us and wants us  to have peace and happiness. 

As we approach Holy Week we invited our friend Candice Angle on to discuss the the talk The Greatest Easter Story Ever Told by Gary E. Stevenson. This talk was such a great reminder to create special traditions and to give extra attention to this glorious week/day. 

This week we talk about the importance of thinking of the end goal,  " Thinking Celestial".  We were joined by our friend Heather Larson to discuss the talk Think Celestial by President Russell M. Nelson. 

This week our friend, Josh Van Daren joins us to go over a talk that was given to BYU Idaho students. Called Things as They Really Are. We discussed  how important it is to be good stewards of our body, mind and spirit. And to be mindful of the addictive power of online gaming and social media. 

This week we had the pleasure of talking with Marsha's brother,  Ryan Proffit. We discussed the talk Sunday Will Come by Joseph B. Wirthlin. In this episode we talk about pain and grief,  and how we can find healing  through Jesus Christ's atonement. 

This week our friend Stacey Wells joined us to discuss the talk God will do something unimaginable by Dieter F. Uchtdorf.  We talk about the burdens of life's trials, even when you may feel buried by addiction and or pain, you can always find freedom in Jesus Christs Attonement. 

On this episode our friend Brogan Bennett joined us to discuss the talk, "A Framework for Personal Revelation" by Dale G. Runlund. We talked about how creating our own framework of relying on and hearing the Holy Ghost is so critical in each of our lives. 

This week we discussed the talk Divine Design by Ronald A. Rasband with our friend Sariah Mortensen.  We talk about seeing Heavenly Father, in our life, guiding and directing us. 

This week our friend Lois Allen joined us to talk about the talk Turn on Your Light by Sharon Eubank. We talked on Sister Eubanks 5 point to be a light to the world in these last days. 

This Week we discussed the talk The Spirit of revelation by David A. Bednar. We were joined by our friend Hannah Young.  We talked about the gentle prompting of the Spirit and how it's not always a flood of information. 

On this episode we were joined by Keisha Nelson to talk about Brad Wilcox BYU speech His Grace Is Sufficient. We talk about the plague of perfectionism and how we've all been victim to this mind set. But we've been given the beauty of Grace through the all encompassing power of Jesus Christ's  Atonement.  

This episode we talk with Mark Boivin discussing the talk  Hearing His Voice by David P Homer. We talk about how vital it is to listen to the right voice (His voice)  in a time when so many things are competing for our attention. 

This week we were joined by our friend Cody Bennett to discuss the talk Encircled in the Arms of His Love by Neal A. Maxwell.  We discussed Elder Maxwells unique way of sharing the gospel and the power and assuredness of declaring his testimony.

This week Dustin Tolman joined us to  discuss the BYU speech Stand Forever by Lawrence E. Corbridge. We talked about how the primary questions should always be our main focus.  

This week we had the pleasure of discussing the talk  Power to overcome the Adversary by Peter M. Johnson with our friend Michelle Gentry.  We talked about how the Adversary does all he can to turn us away from our Savior and how there are key things we can do in our life to stay focused on the Him.  

This week Jessica Linauna joins us to to talk about the talk Raised in Hope. We discussed our own personal experiences with hope and how this talk helped give us a new perspective on hope.  

On this Episode we were joined by Summer Wilda and Hannah Young. We had the opportunity to travel to Bismarck, North Dakota to he hear from the Bismarck stake Relief Society president Sister Dallie and from the second counselor of general Relief Society Sister Kristin M. Yee.  In this episode we discussed our highlights of the meeting.
