DM: 010 Starting With an Idea and Seeing it Through to the End
Okay, okay, so first off I am trying out some new music on the podcast to see if it works and if it adds value to the show. :) If not, then let me know in the comment section below or send me an email on my contact page. Or send me a tweet on twitter ;) haha Anyways, this episode is all about idea extraction, what ideas are and why you should see an idea through to the end. I have always had idea, plenty of them, but I never knew which one to stick with, let alone how to pick only one idea. It can be extremely frustrating and exhausting at times when I run out of energy on an idea because I don't know where to go, or because I lose interest. :( However, that doesn't have to be the case with you! IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL LEARN: What idea's are How to stick with an idea through to the end How to pick an idea Find out if your idea is silly/profitable Ideas are huge, and it is important to realize that ideas are the very lifeblood of entreprenuers, writers, authors, thinkers, etc. but it is also important to focus on one idea and grow it to all that it can be. DM009: The Art of Staying Accountable
It’s Motivation Monday and this is episode 9 of the Driven Motivation podcast! Ooo yeah! In the previous episodes I talk about how your choices matter, and why you need to stop making excuses for yourself and instead start taking action. This is the last episode of Motivation Monday for this week, and to tie everything together I made it about accountability. Without accountability you won't be able to stay focused long enough to accomplish your final goals. Steps on Staying Accountable 1. Creating a Clear and Defined Goal You can't just put down "I want to lose weight," or "I want to make more money." You have to put numbers along with a due date... For instance, you can put; I want to lose 30 lbs by May 1st, or I want to make $50,000 by October It is vital to put a number on your goal along with a due date because it will make the goal more real. It's not just a wish anymore... it's an actual defined, and attainable goal. 2. Track Your Progress Grab a journal, or create a chart and start tracking your progress! Tracking will allow you to see how well (or not well) you are doing and can help revitalize your energy because you will see the progress you are making. Even if you are not making the progress you want, you can come up with ways to improve your game! Step up! 3. Accountability Partners I find that having accountability partners or group is vital to your success. You can also download the coach.me app (which I will put under the resources in this post) that will help keep your accountable by reminding you that you need to do something. 4. Review and Reflect It is vital to your success that you reflect on what you are doing, and take notice of what is and what isn't working. The best thing you can do for yourself is to make sure that you are on the right track to success. DM008: Ripple Effects of Your Actions and Choices
It's Motivation Monday and this is episode 8 of the Driven Motivation podcast! Woo-hoo! Have you ever felt like you are just drifting through life or that when you think/act negatively that negative outcomes are produced? Or vise verse when you are positive. It is important to realize that your actions and choices matter on a larger scale than you think. I made a realization after high school that my choices have the ability to influence others that I don't even know. For instance, I wrote a book about self-esteem and becasue of that I was able to help a lot of people who had self-esteem issues. It felt amazing, but the crazy thing is... is that I didn't even know them! Depending on your actions and choices, you can affect... Your family Your workplace environment Your relationships with others Businesses Etc. You get the point. You have the ability to influence things that you didn't even think were possible; think about this quote... "Never doubt that a small group of thoughful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead You truly do have more of an influence than you think you do. Think about this as well; have you been around someone who was negative and you felt the energy being sucked from you? I have, and man I am a pretty optimistic person, but some people have the ability to just suck the life right out of you. The same goes for if you are around positive people, you tend to feel more energized and enthusiastic about things. Just remember that you have the ability to change and pave a new path for others... even people generations down the road could have a better life because of you.

DM007: Quit Making Excuses and Take Action
It's Motivation Monday and this is episode 7 of the Driven Motivation podcast! Woo-hoo! I find that a lot of people (including myself sometimes) tend to make excuses to validate their reasoning for not taking action or not following their dreams... Some of these excuses sound like; I don't have enough time or money I am a loser and I don't deserve it I don't know where to start, so I'm not going to do it I'm afraid of what unknown, so I am going to stick with what I am doing etc. You get the point; we all make mistakes, and that's not okay. Because you will never achieve your goals or dreams if you constantly make excuses. DM006: Determinator - Fire Up your Capability
What is determination? To me, determination is the ability to push through all obstacles and achieve what you want. And ultimately... ... Determination is what you need in order to achieve what you want. In today's podcast I speak about what is determination, why it is so important and why you need it in order to succeed. 8 Things You Can Do to Revitalize Your Spirit (Only choose 1 or 2) Go on a hike, often for me it was therapeutic because I could connect with nature but also because it burnt off pent up energy which allowed for my anxiety to go away. Meditate; When I would really utilize meditating, it would open up my mind and allow me to see deeper into myself and thus enabling to find out what I really wanted. Do some pushups; when I feel angry, or down I do pushups, but then again you could really do any exercise that allows you to burn energy. Eat some comfort food; Now don't over indulge yourself, but eat something that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside... (mine personally is cheesecake) Take a nap; Naps can allow you to get some extra needed rest and some time away from people. Go for a car ride; Often I found myself able to burn off some steam, and feel better about myself and self reflect. Have a picnic with some friends; Picnics are fun, you have good food, and you can play some frisbee while you are at it. Listen to your favorite music; Music is often therapeutic for people, and when you hear that right song, it can change your mood in no time at all.

DM005: Relax & Have Fun
I recently visited New Orelans for the celebrations of Mardi Gras and I really enjoyed myself. It's important to enjoy yourself sometimes and take a breather from reality. We all deserve a break sometimes especially if we have been working very hard and investing a lot of our time in something. Don't forget to have fun, and to enjoy the little things in life, because life isn't all about the hustle and bustle... OH! And like I mentioned in the podcast I would post a photo of my girlfriend and how many beads we collected. (Don't worry we didn't show any boobs for these, haha.) But seriously, take sometime to yourself to do the things you enjoy, whether that is hiking, walking, going to the beach, going on a vacation or whatever that may be, just do it! Some problems may arise when you go on those breaks, for instance... I found myself still wanting to work on my business and do business like things because I invest a lot of my life to that...BUT you really need to separate your mind from the hustle and bustle and really take some time to let your mind go, "phew!" In today's podcast I cover the topics of negative thoughts and why you should crush those thoughts and become who you are meant to be. You are meant to be great, and to achieve great things! Stop listening to what others have to say about you and what you should do in your life, and start making decisions for yourself! Nobody has control over your thoughts besides yourself, no matter if someone says you don't deserve something, or that you are not capable of something you have to know it in yourself that you can achieve those things. I share a story about what others were saying to me about growing a business, and how it is important to not be scared, or worried about what they have to say, because they are not living your life. DM001: The Power of Talking To People
In today's podcast I talk about the power of small talk and how creating relations with others are important. Stop being a scaredy cat and just talk to a new person! It's as easy as... Saying "hello, how is your doing going?" Finding a common interest Engaging with the person and then closing the conversation Just go out there and knock them dead you silly! Cause what do you have to wait for??? A person to come knocking on your door wanting to talk to you? I believe in you, and you should believe in yourself and crush your social anxiety and or speaking anxiety that you have. Cause life is meant to be enjoyed, not to be riddled with anxiety.
