Prayer Recalling Christ's Personal Love For Me

Lord, You wished to create me, I would not exist were it not for Your Almighty Power. You created me because You love me, and I want to love You the way You have loved me. Lord, two thousand years ago, mankind walked the earth in darkness, lost by the sin of our first parents. And You, in obedience to the Father and out of love for me, decided to become flesh in the Virgin's womb. You became a man so as to suffer for me, redeem me from my sins, and open the gates of Heaven for me. Thank you for Your Love, Jesus; thank you for being born of the Blessed Virgin. Thank you, dear Mother, for saying yes to God and allowing the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, Jesus Christ, to become man. Lord Jesus, You are here with me now. You came into the world to teach me. You left me the path I must take to reach You and possess You forever in the Gospel. Thank you, Jesus, for such love. You truly are Almighty God. I am a poor and miserable creature; and yet You loved me and continue to love me, not only in words, but with real love, love shown in works. That is why I know that You are with me now, in my heart, watching over me. Guide my prayer, Lord, cleanse my soul of all my sins and selfishness and fill it with Your Light and Your Love. Grant me the grace I need most, because without You, I can do nothing.

  10. 28

    Prayer of St. Francis

Make me a channel of Your Peace Where there is hatred let me bring Your Love Where ther is injury, Your Pardon, Lord And where there is doubt true faith in You Make me a channel of Your Peace Where there's despair in life let me bring hope Where there is darkness only light And where there's sadness ever joy Oh, Master grand that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console To be understood as to understand To be loved as to love with all my soul Make me a channel of Your Peace It is in pardoning that we are pardoned In giving to all men that we receive And in dying that we are born to eternal life In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Short Way of the Cross

A SHORT WAY OF THE CROSS As used by The Franciscan Fathers on their Missions First Station: Jesus Is Condemned to Death O Jesus! So meek and uncomplaining, teach me resigna- tion in trials. Second Station: Jesus Carries His Cross My Jesus! This Cross should be mine, not Thine! My sins crucified Thee. Third Station: Our Lord Falls the First Time O Jesus! By this first fall, never let me fall into mortal sin. Fourth Station: Jesus Meets His Mother O Jesus! May no human tie, however dear, keep me from following the road of the Cross. Fifth Station: Simon, the Cyrenean, Helps Jesus Carry His Cross Simon unwillingly assisted Thee; may I with patience sut- fer all for Thee. Sixth Station: Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus O Jesus! Thou didst imprint Thy sacred features upon Veronica's veil; stamp them also indelibly upon my heart. Seventh Station: The Second Fall of Jesus By Thy second fall, preserve me, dear Lord, from relapse into sin. Eighth Station: Jesus Consoles the Women of Jerusalem My greatest consolation would be to hear Thee say: "Many sins are forgiven thee, because thou hast loved much." Ninth Station: Third Fall of Jesus O Jesus! When I am weary upon life's long joumey, be Thou my strength and my perseverance. Tenth Station: Jesus Is Stripped of His Garments My soul has been robbed of its robe of innocence; clothe me, dear Jesus, with the garb of penance and contrition. Eleventh Station: Jesus Is Nailed to the Cross Thou didst forgive Thy enemies; my God, teach me to for- give injuries and forget them. Twelfth Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross Thou art dying, my Jesus, but Thy Sacred Heart still throbs with love for Thy sinful children. Thirteenth Station: Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross Receive me into thy arms, O Sorrowful Mother, and obtain for me perfect contrition for my sins. Fourteenth Station: Jesus Is Laid in the Sepulcher When I receive Thee into my heart in Holy Communion, O Jesus, make it a fit abiding place for Thy adorable Body. Jesus, Mary, I love You, save Souls. Amen.

Prayer to the Shoulder Wound of Jesus

Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I a miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy Heavy Cross, which so tore Thy Flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other Wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain and by the crushing burden of Thy Heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. Amen. -- Imprimatur: Thomas D. Beven, Bishop of Springfield, Ma. It is related in the annals of Clairvaux that St. Bernard asked Our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering and Our Lord answered." had on My Shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound, which was more painful than the others and which is not recorded by men. Honor this Wound with thy devotion and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through Its virtue and merit. Prayer to Mary, Undoer of Knots

Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exists in your heart, cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exist in my life. You know very well how desperate I am, my pain, and how I am bound by these knots. Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of his children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the Evil One himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands there is no knot that cannot be undone. Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with Your Son and My Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot. [Mention your request here] I beg you to undo it for the glory of God, once for all. You are my hope. O my Lady, you are the only consolation God gives me, the fortification of my feeble strength, the enrichment of my destitution, and, with Christ, the freedom from my chains. Hear my plea. Keep me, guide me, protect me, o safe refuge! Mary, Undoer of Knots, pray for me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

I pray for compatibility, lifelong romance, alignment of values, and out of this world chemistry. I pray that they age gracefully, becoming more beautiful as they get older. I pray for our mutual sanctity. With my limited understanding, I pray that they may be the fulfilment of my wish list, unless you or your Son have something better in mind. Mother and father, with my limited understanding, grant me these things if it pleases you. Purify my desires if not. I'm weak without You. Be my inner and outer strength. Father, for anything I'm missing today, fill in my gaps: ⁃ Be where I'm not ⁃ See where I can't ⁃ Hear what I can't ⁃ Feel what I can't ⁃ Be strong where I'm weak ⁃ Be still where I'm restless ⁃ Be tender where I'm rough ⁃ Be truth where I don't believe ⁃ Be virtuous where I've yet to begin ⁃ Be my influence where I fall short ⁃ Be enough where I'm not In Jesus Name.
