Today we share how we told the kids that we were moving to Alaska and what our options were for moving to Alaska.  We love our pup, Gilland, and he was coming with us. So we had to find an airplane that was dog friendly too. We had to pare down our items to 2 luggage bags + a carry-on a piece!  It was a process! So we have a fun question for your date this week. As a Christian couple in the empty nest season, we often get asked, how did you KNOW that you were being called to Alaska? Today we share the story. Here are 3 key takeaways from our conversation: 1️⃣ Your dreams matter: It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and bury your dreams deep down. But remember, you are God's handiwork and He has placed desires within you for a reason. Embrace those dreams and have the faith to pursue them, even when they seem unrealistic. 2️⃣ Listen for God's voice: Pay attention to those tiny thoughts and persistent longings that won't go away. It might just be God trying to speak to you and guide you towards your purpose. Trust in Him and seek His confirmation through prayer and reflection. 3️⃣ Take the leap of faith: Sometimes, following our dreams means stepping out of our comfort zone and taking risks. It won't always be easy, but trust that God will provide the means and open doors for you. Believe in yourself and be open to the unexpected opportunities that come your way.
