    Band-Aid or Fix? — Miami's Return & The 2026 Regulation Shake-Up | S3E6

We're back. After four race-less weeks, the 2026 F1 season is finally returning and Miami cannot come soon enough. But let's be honest, it never really went quiet. In this episode I'm unpacking everything from the break. Red Bull's struggles, Verstappen's frustrating start, the Lambiase move to McLaren, Ferrari's busy April, and some interesting calendar speculation around a potential Saudi GP return. But the two biggest topics for me heading into Miami are:The ADUO System — what it is, why it matters, and why Ferrari potentially qualifying for it could be one of the biggest storylines of the season. The new Miami regulation changes — what the FIA has changed, what it means for racing, and why a lot of it for me feels more like a band-aid than a real fix. This one's a mix with confirmed facts, rumours worth discussing, and my honest take on all of it.F1rst: An F1 Podcast is an independent fan podcast. Opinions are personal. Some information discussed may include rumour and speculation.Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Promise or Problem? — Japan GP & The 2026 Regulation Debate | S3E5

The Japanese Grand Prix delivered on-track action — but more importantly, it gave us our clearest look yet at how Formula 1’s 2026 regulations are really shaping up.In this episode, I recap the key moments from Suzuka before diving into the growing debate after the first three races of the season. On one side, there are real positives: improved racing entertainment, certain tracks feeling revitalized, and a noticeable reduction in the performance gap that once defined dominant eras. But the concerns are just as clear. Ongoing issues with battery deployment, inconsistencies between power units, reliability questions, and a fundamentally different racing feel are raising serious doubts about the direction of this new era.So where does that leave us?I break down both sides of the argument and share my perspective — cautious, slightly skeptical, but still optimistic… depending on how the FIA responds. Because ultimately, the success of these regulations may come down to whether the right adjustments are made before these early issues become long-term problems.Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

    A New Dawn for F1 — Australia Tests the 2026 Era | S3E4

In this episode I take a first look at the new era of Formula 1 as the 2026 regulations make their debut at the Australian Grand Prix. The new cars have brought a completely different dynamic to the sport, and Australia may have already lifted the sandbags from Mercedes, showing why George Russell is already being talked about as a championship favorite. But it is not all one-sided. Scuderia Ferrari showed promising pace in Australia and could still be in the fight if development heads in the right direction.I break down the early pros and cons of these new regulations and what this “new dawn” might mean for the future of F1.Curious to hear your take on the new era of the sport. Thanks for listening. Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Testing gives us hints, not answers. In this episode, I sort through the noise from pre season testing and share what I’m actually buying into ahead of Australia, from potential dark horses to early warning signs for some big teams.Plus, thoughts on Drive to Survive Season 8, what worked, what felt overproduced, and what the future of the show might look like as F1 continues to evolve.Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Why 2026 Could Define Ferrari — The Defining Duo

In this episode, I continue my personal reflection on why 2026 could define Ferrari, beginning with my thoughts on the recent shakedown and why I feel much of the media attention and early analysis has been exaggerated. From my perspective, we won’t truly know where each team stands until Melbourne. But more importantly, this season feels crucial for both Charles Leclerc and Frédéric Vasseur. If Ferrari falls short again, I fear it could put Leclerc’s future with the team at risk — something that would be devastating — while also creating real uncertainty about Ferrari’s leadership and direction moving forward. From my perspective as a fan, I truly hope this is the season where Ferrari delivers and rewards the faith that has been placed in them. But there is still that underlying uncertainty about what happens if it becomes another year of missed expectations. This is Part 2 of my personal take on why 2026 could define Ferrari.Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Why 2026 Could Define Ferrari - My Personal Take

We kick off the first episode of the year by diving into the challenges, expectations, and immense pressure Ferrari faces as the 2026 Formula One season approaches. With only months to go before the first race, Ferrari finds itself at a critical crossroads—one that could define the future direction of the team, the Scuderia brand, and Ferrari’s legacy in Formula One.This season represents an existential moment for Ferrari. From my personal perspective as a fan and observer of the sport, there are five major ideas that, taken together, showcase why I feel and believe 2026 could be so defining for the team. In this episode, I focus on two of those core ideas, setting the foundation for why the stakes are so high, while the remaining three will be explored in a follow-up episode. The bar has never been higher, and the pressure is immense. Still, I approach this season purely as a Ferrari fan, sharing my own thoughts and feelings and holding onto that familiar (and slightly delusional) hope that this could finally be the year Charles Leclerc and the team get everything right and deliver a championship.Expectations are sky-high and scrutiny is relentless. From my point of view, can Ferrari finally rise to the occasion in 2026, or will this season mark the start of a more turbulent future for the Scuderia and raise deeper questions about where they go from here? Thanks for joining me for the first episode of the season—looking forward to continuing the conversation and sharing more personal reflections in the episodes ahead.Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Abu Dhabi GP 2025 – Lando’s First WDC & Max Still the GOAT

We’ve finally reached the end of the 2025 Formula One season — and what a finale it was. With a changing of the guard in the sport, Lando Norris has officially been crowned the 2025 World Drivers’ Champion.Even though the season has just wrapped up, the F1 news cycle is already on fire. There’s no shortage of storylines to unpack, but for this final race review of the year, I’m keeping it focused on my own take: Lando’s long-awaited title victory, Max Verstappen’s once-again monumental performance, and the standout season-ending drives from both Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc.I’m hoping to drop a couple more episodes before the end of the year, but for now, thank you all for listening, sharing your thoughts, questions, and opinions throughout the season. Qatar GP 2025 — McLaren Cracks, Red Bull Climbs

It’s been a few days since the Qatar GP heart attack — and honestly, this just doesn’t seem to be McLaren’s track. Even with a car that should dominate here, they somehow manage to make things difficult… but hey, they sure know how to keep the drama alive. Now, with one race left in the season, Max has done the impossible: he’s dragged the WDC fight all the way to the final showdown. No matter how the last race ends, the fact that he’s brought it this far is insane — a reminder of why, at this moment, he’s the true GOAT of the grid.As we head into the 2025 finale, emotions are all over the place: relief for some fans (mainly Ferrari), happiness for others (looking at you, Williams), and pure, nerve-shredding suspense for both McLaren and Red Bull faithful.Who takes the crown? Who survives the chaos?Share your predictions and buckle up — the final battle is here.Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Baku once again proved why it’s one of the most unpredictable street circuits on the Formula 1 calendar. Lando, Max, and Charles have all delivered standout performances here in the past, and this year was no different… for some. While McLaren continued their dominant run — even with a tense inter team battle — others had a weekend to forget. Verstappen’s crash with Antonelli set the tone early, while Charles and Ferrari found their way back to the podium. As the summer break approaches, the championship picture is starting to take shape — and for some, it’s slipping out of reach. Canadian GP 2025 – Chaos, Comebacks & Crashes

The 2025 Canadian Grand Prix delivered yet another major shake-up in this wild F1 season. Mercedes bounced back in a big way, with George Russell taking their first win of the year and rookie Kimi Antonelli securing his debut podium — becoming the third-youngest podium finisher in F1 history. But it wasn’t all celebration. Ferrari took a heavy hit, with growing media pressure casting serious doubt over Fred Vasseur’s future and exposing just how fragile things are inside the team. Red Bull and McLaren both underdelivered, and the long-anticipated crash between Lando and Oscar finally happened. With tensions rising and momentum shifting, the big question now is: what will Austria bring in a week’s time?Music credit: "Be Free" by Music Unlimited

Spanish GP 2025 – The Red Bull Fight

The Spanish GP brought the heat — and not just from the Catalan sun. With dramatic crashes, chaotic strategy calls, and on-track aggression, this was easily the most intense showdown of the season so far.Despite new flexi-wing regulations, McLaren's grip on the grid still looks unshaken, as Oscar and Lando continue to rack up serious points. Meanwhile, Ferrari fans had something to cheer about with Charles grabbing his third podium of the year. But the headline? Max vs. George — the rivalry is back and spicier than ever. And Max? Monaco GP 2025 - Two-Pit Tango

The Monaco GP 2025 was expected to shake up tradition with new regulations, including a mandatory two-pit-stop rule aimed at spicing up the show. Instead, what fans got was a strategic shuffle that fell short of fireworks.Charles Leclerc delivered a heroic drive on home soil, clinching a second podium at Monaco. But it was Lando Norris and McLaren who had just enough in the tank to outpace the rest and claim victory—credit where it’s due.Still, the biggest storyline wasn’t on the podium—it’s off the track. The FIA’s two-stop experiment didn’t quite ignite the thrill fans hoped for, raising fresh concerns about Monaco’s place in the future of F1. Can this legendary circuit evolve to meet modern expectations? But Miami felt like a harsh reality check. The struggles were clear, the frustration from both drivers was obvious, and for fans like me, it was honestly disheartening. This weekend underscored the size of the challenge ahead for Ferrari. Australian 2025 GP Race Review – Troubled Waters

The opening race of the 2025 Formula One season certainly didn’t disappoint – though not always for the right reasons! This race delivered on every promise of excitement, with unexpected twists, chaos, and an unpredictable battle for victory that had everyone on edge.As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not the biggest fan of rain, and while the winners and podium finishers undoubtedly earned their spots, the wet conditions created a whirlwind of mayhem that, personally, didn’t sit well with me. On top of that, it was a rough season opener for Charles, Lewis, and Ferrari, which made for some tough moments to watch in Australia. But as we shift our focus to China and the first sprint weekend of the year, there’s hope for a clearer picture of the season ahead – especially for Ferrari. Here's hoping we see more consistency and can start to gauge where teams and drivers truly stand heading into the next chapter of the season.

Abu Dhabi GP 2024: A Heroic Farewell for Charlos 🥹

In recent years, no F1 season has made Ferrari fans' spirits soar and sink so dramatically in such a short span of time. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was a perfect example of this rollercoaster, as Carlos and Charles delivered an unforgettable performance, filled with both heartbreak and heroism. Despite facing setbacks, challenges, and an almost impossible dream, Carlos and Charles gave us a battle for the ages—a performance that will be remembered as one of the most honorable send-offs for Carlos from Ferrari. Though the ultimate goal wasn’t reached and the dream remained just out of grasp, my admiration and gratitude for both drivers is immeasurable. This was a fitting final performance for them as teammates, and a testament to their dedication and teamwork. It’s a bittersweet result, and a farewell that tugs at the heartstrings, but it’s clear that this was one of the most honorable ways to part ways. Here’s hoping that next season brings better fortunes for both the team and these incredible drivers. What a drive! Grazie, Carlos and Charles! Las Vegas GP 2024: Letting Off Steam 😤

In Las Vegas, luck can change in an instant, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix is no exception. Mercedes once again dominated the weekend, giving us a small glimpse of their competitiveness from previous years. However, McLaren and Ferrari struggled to match their competitiveness, with both teams facing a much tougher 2024 season compared to 2023. Ferrari, in particular, seemed to fall even further behind. Max Verstappen secured his 4th Drivers' Championship, a hard-fought victory that was far more challenging than his 2023 title defense. However, my main disappointment came from the anger and frustration displayed by Charles Leclerc and the Ferrari team at the end of the race. With just two races left in the season, both Charles and Carlos Sainz need to find a way to collaborate more effectively if they hope to challenge for the Constructors' Championship. While the result was underwhelming, I remain hopeful that they can find a way to turn things around. Music credit: "The Podcast Intro" by Music Unlimited

Personally, it wasn’t my favorite race, but for F1 fans, it had everything — drama, unpredictability, and plenty of chaos — making for an absolutely thrilling spectacle. That said, credit where it’s due: Max Verstappen and Red Bull put in an exceptional drive. Meanwhile, McLaren and Ferrari had a bit of a rough weekend, which was surprising given how well I expected them to perform here. Join me as I break down the weekend’s events and dive into a personal debate: Are wet races really good for F1, or do they just add unnecessary chaos? A big shoutout to Charles Leclerc and the Ferrari team for their effort at Baku, even though they didn’t quite hit the mark everyone was hoping for. Baku served up one of the most thrilling races of the season, and McLaren deserves major props for their incredible performance. While I was really rooting for Charles, McLaren’s showing was hard to overlook. It wasn’t just the car’s surprising performance that stood out; the racecraft and team strategy were on point. Charles made his way back to the podium, and Carlos impressively climbed five positions throughout the race! Now, as we head to Monza, Ferrari’s home track, I’m excited to see if they can repeat their stunning performance and make the most of their upgrades. The road ahead won’t be easy, especially with McLaren’s recent strong showing and what that could mean for the rest of the season.
