In this sermon recorded on May 3, 2026,  Pastor Joe Parks shared a powerful message on the power of firsts and how God blesses our firstfruits. When we choose to honor God with what comes first, we are trusting Him with everything that follows and inviting His blessing into every part of our lives.He also introduced the 90 Day Tithe Challenge, a step of faith for anyone ready to trust God with their finances and see what He does when He is placed first.

We had the honor of welcoming guest teacher Pastor Joe Chambers today who taught on the closeness of God and His desire to be near to His people. In this sermon titled "God Wants to Come Close", we learn that from the very beginning of Scripture, we see a God who creates, speaks, and moves toward us, inviting us into relationship with Him. Pastor Joe reminded us that what we believe about God shapes everything, and that at His core, God is relational, drawing us into the fellowship of the Trinity. Throughout the Bible, we see that God chooses and loves His people not because of who they are, but simply because of who He is. He left us with a powerful reminder: there is a chair waiting for you, an open invitation to come close to God.

This Sunday was Youth Sunday, and it was such a powerful reminder of what God is doing in the next generation! Our students didn’t just show up, they stepped up to lead throughout the entire service with boldness, joy, and purpose. During a panel type discussion, We spent time talking about how God is moving right now in their generation. Not someday, not in the future, but today. There’s something unique happening, something real, and it’s clear this generation is being called to live with courage and conviction in their faith.We’re so proud of our youth and so excited for everything ahead!

This weekend we continued our “Because” sermon series with Because He Is Enough, Pastor Joe Parks delivered a powerful message about the lies we believe and the truth of who we are in Christ.We were reminded that a lie believed as truth will affect you as if it were true, and many of us unknowingly base our worth on what others say or what we’ve experienced in our past, just like Moses did when he doubted his ability.But God tells a different story. Through Christ, we are called, capable, and complete, not because of our own strength, but because of His.=

In this Easter sermon, Pastor Joe Parks reminds us that because He lives, we are called to something greater than the fading desires of this world. While the pull of the flesh, the eyes, and pride leads to destruction, even one step toward Jesus leads to life and light. We are not removed from the world, but empowered to live differently within it. This Easter, we are invited to choose what lasts, to follow Him, and to walk in the life only He can give.

In this sermon, “Climbing Out of the Dip,” we look at Habakkuk chapter 3 and the reality that every faith journey includes seasons of struggle and uncertainty. Habakkuk shows us how to respond in those moments by remembering what God has done, accepting what God is doing, and trusting what God will do. Even when circumstances look barren and nothing seems to be producing fruit, we can still choose to rejoice in the Lord. Faith is not built on perfect conditions, but on confidence in God’s character. When we trust Him, the Sovereign Lord becomes our strength and lifts us to higher ground.

This sermon by Pastor Cathleen looks at Habakkuk 2:1–3 and asks what we do when we’re in a “dip” season, when God’s promises feel delayed. Habakkuk models three responses: listen for God’s voice, write down the vision He gives, and wait for the appointed time of its fulfillment. God reminds us that even if the promise seems slow, it will come exactly when it is meant to.

We are in our new series on Habakkuk, and Pastor Joe’s message, “Where Are You, God?” walks through what it means to wrestle honestly with God in the middle of injustice. Habakkuk looks at violence, corruption, and a broken justice system and boldly cries out, asking why God seems silent and inactive. His questions remind us that bringing our confusion and frustration to God is not a lack of faith but part of a real relationship with Him. God responds by revealing that He is at work in ways no one would expect, even using Babylon to accomplish His purposes. The heart of the sermon is this: mature faith does not deny doubt, but chooses to trust God’s character even when His ways are hard to understand.

During our annual Super Sunday service, Pastor Joe Parks reminds us God is calling us to lift our eyes and step into the game, moving from watching on the sidelines to living with purpose. Spiritual maturity isn’t automatic, it grows as we believe, belong, and actively follow Jesus together. When we get in the game, we serve, share our faith, and train our hearts to become spiritually strong. And as we mature, we’re invited to lead others forward, joining Christ in building a church that nothing can overcome.

Without Warning is a powerful and hope-filled message brought to our church family by pastor Grace Kladnik about what happens when life shifts in an instant and how we find Jesus in the middle of the storm. From mountain transitions and raccoons on the porch to the sudden storm in Matthew 8, we explore what it means to face those “without warning” moments that shake our faith. Just like the disciples on the Sea of Galilee, we are reminded that even when the waves rise, Jesus is still in the boat, steady and full of peace. This message will challenge you to examine your faith and embrace the refining fire of trials. If you are walking through something unexpected, this is your reminder that He is good, He is with you, and He still calms storms.

In the first sermon of out new series, Game Day, Pastor Joe Parks teaches that we’re all wired to be fans of something, and that God created us to aim that passion at Him. Pastor Joe challenges us to stop living like fair-weather followers and step into an all-in, wholehearted faith. The message reminds us that Jesus invites us to choose real devotion, real worship, and a real relationship with Him.

This message from pastor Garett Pierson reminds us that we benefit from the Bible when we engage it with the Holy Spirit and choose to live by faith. The Holy Spirit helps us understand God’s Word, believe what it says, and be transformed as we respond in obedience. In week three of God Wrote a Book, Pastor Cathleen preaches an inspiring messaged titled Breath of Life. We’re reminded that the Bible is the living, trustworthy, Spirit-breathed Word of our personal and loving God, preserved, reliable, and powerful to transform lives. From Paul’s words to Timothy, we see that all Scripture, inspired by the Holy Spirit, makes us wise for salvation and equips us for every good work. In a world full of noise, opinions, and tailor-made “truths,” God’s Word remains our most dependable source of wisdom and truth.

Guest speaker Merrilee Goins joined us in an interview-style sermon with Cathleen Parks. Merrilee began work in Peru in 1983 as a physician assistant in a clinic on a Bible translation center in the Amazon river basin. After 10 years at that location, she joined linguists who were reaching out to an uncontacted group in the jungle. In the year 2000, she became part of a team working to get the Scripture to the Nahua/Yura people in their language. Now Merrilee is helping produce materials to encourage the Nahua/Yura people to read Scripture.
