Faith Family Christmas

Are we walking through this Christmas season, carrying the name of Jesus but in name only? Christ longs for us to walk in the integrity of true relationship, adopted into His family.

Christmas time brings about moments of joy, but real joy, lasting joy, comes from the Lord alone, and we receive this joy as part of His family. Since there are no perfect families, the joy of the Lord is present even in our imperfect ones.

Peace in family may seem far-fetched, but are we making room for Jesus to disrupt what we think should be happening? He made quite a stir the first time He came. Will we also let Him come into our homes and bring His way of doing things? He is the Prince of Peace...

The genealogy in Matthew highlights the brokenness of humanity, even in the line of Abraham and David. Jesus comes from a broken family, so He can come to a broken family. Christmas offers the hope of Christ in spite of our family situation.
