Yesterday, we met Cornelius.A devout man.A generous man.A man who prayed continually.His life was marked by quiet faithfulness.And today, he receives a message from an angel of God that brings extraordinary comfort.

Sometimes, God is at work in a lifelong before the full story becomes visible.That is the case with Cornelius.He is not part of the Jewish community.He does not yet understand everything.And still, Scripture describes him with remarkable words.He's devout.He reveres God.He gives generously.He prays continually.Before he receives greater clarity,his heart is already turned toward God.And that sincere seeking does not go unnoticed.

Yesterday, we met Tabitha.A faithful disciple.A woman full of good works.Someone whose quiet kindness had touched many lives.When she died, the community grieved deeply.

The book of Acts is filled with dramatic moments.Miracles.Preaching.Journeys.Transformation.But today, we pause to notice someone whose faithfulness looked quieter.A woman named Tabitha.

The early Church has been through much already.Opposition.Persecution.Fear.Rapid change.And yet, after all the intensity,Scripture gives us a quieter moment.A moment of rest.

Saul has changed.He has encountered Christ.He has begun preaching boldly.His life is moving in a completely new direction.But not everyone trusts him yet.

Saul has changed.The man who once opposed Christ is now preaching Him openly.And naturally, people are stunned.

Saul has been through a complete transformation.The road to Damascus.The blinding light.The surrender.The waiting.The restored sight.And now, the change begins to show outwardly.

Saul’s journey has been unfolding step by step.The road to Damascus.The blinding light.The surrender.The waiting.The prayer.The kindness of Ananias.And now, at last,something changes.Not only within him—but around him.The blindness lifts.And Saul begins to see again.

Saul has been stopped.He’s surrendered.He’s spent days in quiet prayer.And now, God sends someone to him.Not a crowd.Not a public moment.Just one person.Ananias.And what happens nextis simple…but deeply powerful.

Saul has been stopped.He has surrendered.He has asked the question:“Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?”And now…everything becomes quiet.No preaching.No movement.No visible action.Just waiting.Just stillness.And in that quiet place,something important is happening.

Yesterday, Saul was stopped in his tracks.Interrupted. Confronted. Awakened to a truth he had not yet seen.And in that moment, everything he thought he understood began to shift.But interruption is not the end.It leads to a question.A simple one. A decisive one.And the way Saul responds changes everything.

We’ve just witnessed a man respond to Christ with joy.Now, we encounter someone moving in the opposite direction.Saul.Confident. Driven. Certain he’s right.A man with authority; actively seeking out followers of Jesus to silence them. Moving from place to place, determined to stop what he believes is a dangerous movement.And yet—completely unaware that he’s resisting the very One he thinks he’s serving.Until, in a single moment, on an ordinary road, everything changes.

Yesterday, we heard the question: “What doth hinder me?”A moment of clarity.A moment of decision.A moment of response.And now, we see what comes next.Not hesitation.Not regret.Joy.

Philip has shared the message.The Ethiopian official has listened.He’s understood.He’s seen Christ revealed in the Scriptures.And now, something shifts.The conversation movesfrom understanding…to action.Because there comes a momentwhen truth is no longer something we consider.It becomes something we respond to.

We’ve been walking alongside Philip on the road.He obeyed the call to go.He met a man who was searching.He heard the question:“How can I understand?”

Yesterday, Philip was told to arise and go.He obeyed without knowing the full reason.And on that road, he encounters a man searching.Reading Scripture.Seeking understanding.Hungry for something more.This reminds us that spiritual longing often exists quietly in places we don’t expect.And when God sees genuine hunger, He delights to meet it.

We’ve spent time with the early Church, watching believers grow in courage, devotion, grace, and character.But faith is not only formed in stillness.There are moments when God calls us to move.Not always with full explanation.Not always with a detailed plan.Sometimes, simply with a direction.And today, Philip receives just such a call.

Yesterday, we saw the early Church respond wisely to growing needs.Help was needed.Responsibilities were shared.New servants were chosen.And among those selected, one name stands out.Stephen.Before we hear anything about his preaching, his courage, or his witness, Scripture first tells us what filled him.Faith.And the Holy Spirit.Because in God’s Kingdom, who we are within matters deeply.

The early Church was growing.More people.More needs.More responsibilities.And with growth came tension.Some were being overlooked.Some needs weren’t being met.This is an important reminder:Even Spirit-filled communitiesstill face practical challenges.But instead of ignoring the problem,the apostles responded with wisdom.They invited others to help carry the work.

We’ve seen the early believers speak with courage.We’ve seen them stand firm under pressure.But boldness alone does not build a lasting community.Something deeper is needed.Something gentler…and stronger at the same time.And today, Scripture gives us the reason the early Church flourished.Not strategy.Not influence.Grace.

The early followers of Christ were not welcomed by everyone.Their message was questioned.Their actions were challenged.Their boldness made others uncomfortable.And soon, Peter and John were told to stop speaking in the name of Jesus.Be quiet.Stay silent.Keep it to yourselves.But something had changed too deeply within them.And today, we hear their answer.

As the early Church began to grow,the followers of Christ did not have wealth, influence, or status.They weren’t backed by power.They didn’t possess great resources.And yet, they carried something greater.Today, Peter stands before a man in need.He can’t offer money.He can’t solve everything the world might measure as success.But he’s not empty-handed.Because what Christ givesis greater than what money can buy.

We’ve begun to see what happenedwhen the Holy Spirit filled the early Church.They devoted themselves to truth.To fellowship.To prayer.And as their hearts were transformed,their lives began to change as well.

Yesterday, we heard that we are not meant to live this lifein our own strength.We’re given power—through the Holy Spirit.But today, we begin to seewhat that life actually looks like.

We’ve walked through the Resurrection.We’ve received peace.We’ve been invited to abide… to love… to live in joy.But now, a new question begins to emerge:How does this life actually take shape?

We’ve come a long way.Through Lent…through the Cross…through the silence…and into the light of the Resurrection.And along the way,we’ve been invited into something deeper.To follow.To love.To remain.And now, Christ reveals what all of this leads to.Not obligation.Not pressure.Joy.

Yesterday, we were asked a question:“Do you love Me?”A question that reaches to the center of everything.But today, Christ gives us something just as important.Not a question; but an invitation.Because love isn’t only something we offer.It’s something we are meant to live within.And so, He says: “Abide in My love.”

We’ve been moving forward—learning what it means to follow Christ,to live that out,to serve those around us.But today, everything slows down.Because beneath all of it—the action, the movement, the calling—there is a question.A simple one.A direct one.And one that reaches deeperthan anything else.“Do you love Me?”

Yesterday, we heard Christ’s call:“Follow Me.”A personal invitation. A step forward.But today, that call takes shape.Because following Christ is not only about where we go.It’s about how we live.And in one of the most intimate moments after the Resurrection, Jesus speaks again to Peter.Not about belief. Not about failure.But about love.

After the Resurrection, after the appearances, after the restoration of faith…Jesus does something very simple.He speaks directly.Not to a crowd. Not to a group. To one person.Peter.And in that moment, after everything that has happened— the denial, the failure, the restoration— Jesus gives him a clear and simple call:Follow Me.

After the Resurrection, after the appearances, after the peace and the Spirit… there is still a struggle.Not with the crowds. But within the disciples themselves.

Yesterday, we saw Christ enter the roomwhere the disciples were gathered in fear.He didn’t wait for them to be ready.He came to them.And His first gift was peace.But He doesn’t stop there.Because the Resurrection is not-only something we witness.It’s something we receive.And today, Christ does something deeply personal.He gives them His Spirit.

Christ is risen.But what comes next?After the empty tomb, after the astonishment and after the realization that everything has changed... we find the disciples in a very familiar place.

We have walked through the Cross.We have waited in the silence.We have stood at the edge of the mystery.And now… everything changes.Not gradually. Not quietly.Completely.Because today, we hear the words that reshape everything we thought we knew:He is not here. He is risen.

Yesterday, we stood at the empty tomb.But today…we step into something deeper.Because between the Cross and the Resurrection,there’s a mystery.A hidden movement.A silent victory.While the world saw stillness…Christ wasn’t inactive.He descended.Not in defeat. But in power.

We have walked through the Cross.We have sat in the silence of the tomb.And now…we arrive at the place where everything changes.The stone has been rolled away.The tomb is no longer sealed.But the first question spoken at the resurrectionis not a declaration.It is a question.A question that reaches across time—and finds us, right where we are.

We’ve seen surrender placed fully into the Father’s hands.And now… there’s silence.No miracles.No teaching.No movement.Just a sealed tomb.And for those who loved Him, it must have felt like the end.But today, we stand in that silence—not as those without hope… but as those learning to trust even when God seems quiet.

We’ve been walking through the mystery of surrender—what it means to let go, to trust, to release what we cannot hold onto.But today, we move even deeper.Because surrender is not just about letting go of something.It’s about placing ourselves into Someone’s hands.And on the Cross,in His final moments,Jesus shows us exactly what that looks like.

Yesterday, we heard Jesus say,“The hour has come.”And now, He draws us closer—not just to understand what’s happening… but to understand what it means.Because He doesn’t leave this as a distant idea.He brings it into something we can see.Something we can feel.A seed.Simple. Small. Ordinary.And yet, it carries a truth that changes everything.

We’ve come to a quiet turning point.Not the beginning of the journey…but the beginning of the end.And for Jesus, this is not a surprise. It’s not something happening to Him. It’s something He is walking toward.Because now, He says:“The hour has come.”Not later. Not eventually.Now.

We’ve walked through repentance.Through watchfulness.Through decision… and even sorrow.And now, we arrive at something quieter.Something simpler.Not what to do.Not what to change.But where to be.Because as Christ approaches the Cross,He turns to His disciples and asks for one thing:Stay with Me.

As we draw closer to the end of this Lenten journey, something begins to change.The focus is no longer only on what we do… or even what we choose… but on what we feel.Because there’s a kind of repentance that goes deeper than discipline.Deeper than effort.It reaches the heart.And today, we encounter a momentwhere repentance becomes something visible— not through strength… but through tears.

Over the past few days, we’ve been called inward—to open our hearts…to remain watchful…And now, Christ brings us to a moment of decision.Because it’s one thing to feel inspired.It’s another thing to commit.As we approach the final stretch of Lent,Jesus does not soften His words.He clarifies them.He invites us to consider what it truly means to follow Him.

As we move closer to the final days of Great Lent,the tone begins to shift.The invitation is still there.The mercy is still there.But now, there’s also a sense of urgency.Not fear. But awareness.Because it’s possible to begin well…and slowly drift.To grow attentive…and then become distracted again.And today, Christ gives us a simple command:Stay awake.

As we draw closer to the end of Great Lent,the Church begins to speak more directly to the heart.Not asking us to do more.Not asking us to prove anything.But inviting us to go deeper.Because it’s possible to walk through Lent…to fast… to pray… to adjust our habits…and still keep part of ourselves closed.And today, we hear a different kind of call.Not outward. But inward.

As we come to the end of this stretch of our Lenten journey,we begin to see what all of this has been forming within us.Not just discipline.Not just awareness.But faithfulness.Because after all the teaching…after all the growing…a question remains:What does God actually desire from our lives?And today, Christ gives us a glimpse of the answer.

Over the past few days, we’ve been moving deeper into the heart of thespiritual life.We’ve learned to remain present. To receive peace. To abide in Christ.And now, Jesus turns our attention outward.Because what’s happening within us will eventually become visible.Not all at once. Not perfectly. But over time.And today, Christ gives us a simple way to understand that process.

As we continue this Lenten journey, we begin to see apattern.When we remain present, we find peace.And when we find peace, we begin to ask a deeper question:How do we stay here?How do we remain grounded…steady…connected?Because it’s one thing to experience a moment of closenesswith God.It’s another to live from it.And today, Christ gives us the answer.

After learning to remain in the present moment, something begins to change within us.Not around us.Not in our circumstances.But within.Because when we stop living in tomorrow, and begin to stay with God today, we begin to experience something deeper.Not control. Not certainty.But peace.And today, Christ speaks directly to that.
