Foundational Truths for Life
by Matthew Curtis
Hello, family! My name is Matthew Curtis, and I want to welcome you to the Foundational Truths for Life Podcast. When I was four and five years old, I had a series of divine experiences with God where I received my call to preach and teach the Good News of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Eventually, the call of God was burning so fervently inside of me that I made the decision to wholeheartedly commit my life to Jesus and the ministry He was calling me to. But four years into ministry, the Lord gave me a clear revelation of how much I didn't know. I was divinely inspired to immerse myself in the Word of God and in communion with Him so that I might fulfill His plan for my life and finish my course with joy! For His Kingdom's sake! For His people's sake!Being a preacher's kid, I was in church at least 3-5 times per week growing up, but many times, 5-7 days a week! My parents were also missionaries to Honduras, Central America, and we even lived there for a short time. Needless

How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 9) | Look to the Rock
Hebrews 4:2 says,“For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”The Word of God is powerful — but it only produces results when it’s mixed with faith. 🌿You can hear the Word every Sunday, every week, every day…but it won’t profit you until you believe it, receive it, and mix your faith with it.When you put faith behind what you hear, the Word becomes alive in you — producing fruit, power, and change. 🙌#MixFaithWithTheWord #FaithInAction #AnointedWord #FoundationalTruthsForLife #LifeInChrist #BibleFaith #JesusIsLord #KingdomLiving #DailyEncouragement #FaithComesByHearing

How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 5) | Hearsay or YOU Say?
🎙️ New Episode Now AvailableEp. 15 – How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 5)"Hearsay or YOU Say?"In 1 Corinthians 14:10 (ASV), the Holy Spirit speaks through Paul, saying:“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and no [kind] is without signification.”Every voice in this world—whether spoken aloud or just a thought in your mind—carries meaning. These voices shape how we think and believe, for better or for worse. The enemy wants to use these voices—of doubt, confusion, speculation—to subtly influence the mind and heart of every Christ follower. His goal? To have us build our foundation in Christ on hearsay—speculation, conjecture, un-Scriptural reasoning, surmising, un-Godly notions and impressions, faithless presumptions. A foundation built on these things might look fine for a while, but as we start to build our lives upon it, the cracks begin to show—and by then, it can be too late.I invite you to join me as we journey through Scripture and expose the difference between what others say—hearsay—and what God Himself reveals to us—revelation about Who Jesus really is.🔗 Listen now wherever you get your podcasts!🟢 Let this episode help you build your life on the solid rock of God’s truth.#FoundationalTruthsForLife #PodcastEpisode #WhoIsJesus #Matthew1613to17 #HearsayOrYouSay #BuildingYourFaith #ChristianPodcast #FaithFoundation #TruthVsHearsay #RevelationNotSpeculation #JesusIsTheChrist #FaithBuilders

How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 4) | Who do YOU Say that I am?
Who Do YOU Say That I Am?In Matthew 16, Jesus asked His disciples two powerful questions:“Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” (v. 13 NKJV)And then, more personally:“But who do you say that I am?” (v. 15 NKJV)Peter boldly declared, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus affirmed him, explaining that this profound revelation didn’t come from man but directly from the Father in heaven. What others say about Jesus reveals the depth of their understanding—or lack thereof. But your answer carries even greater weight. It reflects the intimate revelation the Father has given you, the value you place on Jesus, and ultimately shapes the bedrock of your faith toward God.Have you truly encountered Him as your Savior? Healer? Deliverer? Protector? Provider? And Jesus is so much more than even these!Scripture is overflowing with life-changing truth about who He is.If there are areas of your life where you lack both revelation and experience with Jesus, those are likely the very places where your spiritual foundation is shaky.🎧 In this episode, we dig deep into one of the most important questions you’ll ever answer:Who do YOU say that He is?

How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 3) | Encountering Jesus
🏛️ The Encounter That Sets the Foundation. In construction, a building is only as strong as the foundation beneath it. Spiritually, the same is true: our lives in Christ can only rise as high as the strength of the foundation upon which we’ve built. What’s more, the foundation sets the limits for what can be built above it—both in size and weight. You cannot build a more successful Christian life than your foundation will permit.Modern foundations are poured with reinforced concrete, but in Biblical times, they were carefully built by stonemasons, beginning with a single cornerstone. All other stones are laid in reference to this stone, which determines the position, orientation, and alignment of the entire structure.📖 In this latest episode, we explore how Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone of our faith. Our revelation of Who Jesus truly is leads us to a face-to-face encounter with Him. This moment becomes the spiritual equivalent of the cornerstone being laid in our foundation. From here on, everything else takes shape.🎧 Listen now and join me as we look to the Word of God and build a life that will stand the test of time.#NewEpisode #ChristianPodcast #ChiefCornerstone #FirmFoundation #FaithInJesus #BiblicalTruth #BuildOnTheRock

How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 2) | Your Foundation Sets the Limits
Consider this: to the non-builder, most of the emphasis and excitement is focused on the design of the house, the building, or the structure they're looking to build. But how much attention and consideration is given to its foundation? When dreams are dreamt, are they ever about building the foundation of their dreams? Does the planning and the laying of the foundation ever outvalue or at least balance the esteem given to the architectural design, the interior decorations, or whether there's enough money to build out the man cave or that dream kitchen with its high-end appliances? In our world, it's assumed that the builder knows how to plan, prepare, and build the necessary foundation while we get to focus on the more "important stuff." But in the Kingdom of God, the responsibility of building the foundation has been entrusted to us. We are the builders, and the completion of the foundation is in our hands.I invite you to join me on a journey through Scripture, where we will discover how the spiritual foundation we choose to lay sets the limits for the kind of structure we can build.

How to Build Your Foundation (Pt. 1)
In 1 Corinthians chapter 3, Paul stated that he was given the grace to be a wise master builder. But directly after that, Paul indicated he used that God-given grace to lay, or in other words, build a foundation. However, this foundation wasn't a physical foundation, it was a spiritual foundation! But where did Paul learn how to lay a spiritual foundation? From the One Who gave him the grace!I invite you to come with me on a journey through Scripture as we discover how the Architect of the Universe—our Heavenly Father—laid the foundation of the Earth and how that applies to our lives today in Christ.

How to Begin Your Foundation
At some point in our lives, every one of us have asked ourselves these questions: "How do I begin? Where do I start?" Thankfully, we don't have to figure that out! The Holy Spirit—Our Helper—is standing by, ready to impart to us plans from our Father—the Architect. Now, certainly, He's got the building plans, but what if you're not ready to build the structure? What if you still have to lay the foundation and you don't know how to begin? What if you're not even sure your foundation has been completed yet? I invite you to come with me on a journey through Scripture as we discover how to begin your foundation.

Complete Your Foundation
If you could have a sit-down talk with our beloved brother, Paul, the writer of 3/4ths of the New Testament, wouldn't you like to know how he went from falling to the ground in pride on the road to Damascus, to being an Apostle from God to the gentiles? Wouldn't you like to know what happened after his supernatural experience meeting Jesus, and how he went from persecuting the church to building them up? Wouldn't it be awesome to know what transpired in-between, and how Paul laid and completed the foundation of Jesus Christ in his own life?Well, it doesn't have to be a mystery anymore because Paul actually answered these questions in his letter to the Galatians! I invite you to come with me on a journey through Scripture as we discover and uncover Paul's personal testimony of how the foundation of Jesus Christ was laid and perfected in his own life.

First, Lay the Foundation
Which came first: the chicken or the egg?Which comes first: the foundation or the building? The spirit of these two questions is the same, and they are not mysteries. Yet, there are people today who will argue it's the egg that came first. Any builder will tell you that if you're going to build a house or building of any size, you must first have a firm, complete, finished foundation BEFORE you build your house or building. Otherwise, the house and building will surely fall. So, which comes first: the foundation or the building? Join me in today's episode as we go on a journey through Scripture and dig out this foundational truth.

A Wise Builder According to God's Plans
In 1 Corinthians 3:10 (KJV), Paul describes himself as a "wise masterbuilder" according to the grace God gave to him. He went on to say, "...let every man take heed how builds..." In order to build our individual lives on Jesus and, like Paul, to contribute our part to building up the Body of Christ—God's Building—"wisdom is the principal thing" (Pro. 4:7, KJV). What are we supposed to build? How are we supposed to build? Where are we supposed to build? When are we supposed to build? Would you like to find out? It's all in the Architect's plans. Tune-in with us today in this episode as we discover how we require the grace and wisdom of God to build our lives according to the Architect's plans.

You Are God's Building
Jesus is the foundation, and we—the Body of Christ—are the building. But what kind of building are we? And who is the architect? Why is it important to know that we're God's building? Come with me on a journey through Scripture as we answer these questions and more!

They Took Note that They Had Been with Jesus
During His 3 to 3.5 years of ministry on the Earth, Jesus laid the foundational truths of New Testament doctrine. After His resurrection and ascension, His disciples continued to preach and build the Church upon this foundation. This foundation laid in the hearts of His disciples revealed an amazing side effect: people began to take note that they had been with Jesus. Join me in this episode as we discover how the result of building our lives on the Word of God changes us to be just like Jesus. And as you and I surrender more and more of our lives to the living Word of God, the world around us will be able to see and take note that we've been with Jesus, too!

The Martin Luther Example
Martin Luther (1483-1546 AD) is a real-life example of someone who, in the face of major religious persecution and denominational division, chose to make the Word of God the final authority in his life. He was willing to forgo all he previously thought was the truth in order to put his faith in the Scriptures that disproved what he had always thought was true. And because of that, God was able to reveal to him foundational revelation for the entire Body of Christ that had been lost since the Book of Acts. Let the Word of God enrich you today as we take a brief look into the life of this brave man of God.
