    Saved Through Childbearing

Discover the true 1 Timothy 2:15 meaning in "Saved Through Childbearing" as Pastor Richard Caldwell explains God's perfect design for women. In this expository sermon, Pastor Richard Caldwell addresses one of the most challenging passages in the New Testament regarding biblical womanhood. By looking closely at the apostolic instruction, we see that church order is grounded in the original creation and the historical reality of the fall. God's authority and wisdom provide a beautiful, purposeful design for men and women in the local church. The world often rebels against the concept of complementarianism, viewing God's distinct roles as restrictive. However, a faithful reading of Scripture reveals that a Christian woman's calling is a profound spiritual treasure rather than a mark of insignificance. True obedience to the Word of God demonstrates our submission to the Lordship of Christ over our personal or cultural preferences. Ultimately, this text reminds us that genuine salvation is evidenced by a life of continuing faith, love, and holiness. Embracing the God-ordained role of motherhood and faithful Christian living brings glory to the Creator and testifies to the transforming grace of the gospel. Believers are called to trust the perfect wisdom of God and rest in the truth of His enduring Word. Key Biblical Takeaways: Church order is established by God's creation design, not cultural norms, reminding us that His authority and wisdom are absolute and perfect. The deception in the garden serves as a permanent historical warning about the spiritual ruin that occurs when humanity abandons God's ordained leadership structure. The phrase regarding salvation highlight

How do I respond to challenging questions about Scripture?

Caring for aging parents is a fundamental test of true Christian piety that reveals a godly heart. The New Testament, specifically 1 Timothy 5, commands believers to practice personal piety by returning care to the parents who invested deeply in us when we were helpless. Dealing with an elderly parent's physical and mental decline requires immense patience, deep respect for their life experience, and the recognition that the person inside remains created for eternity, deserving of God-honoring dignity. Ultimately, older saints maintain a vital role within the family unit through sound biblical counseling and devoted intercession for their grown children.

Living Like Free Men – Part 1

Discover what true Christian freedom really means in "Living Like Free Men – Part 1". Christ liberated us not for sin, but for service. Believers are completely liberated from the condemnation of God's law and the bondage of sin through the blood of Jesus Christ. However, this profound grace brings a serious question about the purpose of our deliverance. The Apostle Paul warns the Galatian church against turning liberty into a license for indulging the flesh. Expository preaching on Galatians 5:13-15 reveals that we are not saved to live for ourselves. Using grace as a cover for evil gives our fallen nature a base of operations to wage war against the Spirit. Instead, biblical liberty grants us the new ability to deny worldly passions and actively oppose sin. The true mark of a liberated life is voluntary submission and selfless love toward other believers. By walking in the Spirit, we joyfully esteem others as more significant than ourselves. This humble service reflects the ultimate sacrifice of our Savior and proves we are truly free indeed. Key Biblical Takeaways: True freedom empowers believers to actively deny the flesh rather than indulging selfish desires under the guise of grace. Misusing Christian liberty provides a starting place for sin, creating internal spiritual conflict and grieving the Holy Spirit. Deliverance from the involuntary slavery of sin allows believers to enter the voluntary, joyful service of loving others. Genuine humility requires treating others as more significant than yourself, mirroring the selfless obedience of Jesus Christ.

Living Like Free Men”- Part 2

In "Living Like Free Men"- Part 2", discover true Christian freedom in Galatians 5 and how the grace of God empowers believers to love. The Pastoral Summary What does it mean to be liberated from spiritual slavery? Pastor Richard Caldwell continues his expository preaching through Galatians to explain how believers are definitively set free from condemnation. This spiritual liberty is not a license to sin but a holy calling to oppose the flesh and serve one another in love. Legalism attempts to establish self righteousness and ultimately denies the grace of God. Those who are under the law remain bound by sin, but those under grace receive a new heart capable of fulfilling God's righteous standard. Salvation by faith alone equips the believer with a genuine, Spirit wrought love for God and neighbor. When we fail to walk by the Spirit, we risk biting and devouring one another through gossip and a critical spirit. By looking to the standard of Scripture, the church can guard against division and build one another up. True liberty always results in a life of flesh denial and unselfish service. Key Biblical Takeaways True freedom empowers believers to oppose the flesh and joyfully serve others rather than indulging in selfish desires. Legalism fails to fulfill God's law because it relies on human effort and denies the need for perfect, imputed righteousness. Love is the fulfillment of the law, taking our natural love for ourselves and making it the measuring rod for how we treat others. Abusing Christian liberty leads to destructive church division, making it vital to walk by the Spirit and watch our speech.

Caring for Aging Parents Reveals a Godly Heart.

Are you struggling with the challenges of aging parents? When considering what does the bible say about caring for aging parents, we must look to the New Testament for clear and authoritative instruction. In 1 Timothy 5 family responsibilities are laid out plainly, reminding believers that showing godliness must always begin right at home. A sound christian perspective on aging parents recognizes that returning care to parents is a profound opportunity to express gratitude for God's providential care through them. Dealing with elderly parents decline requires immense patience, deep conversation, and a willingness to truly listen to their struggles. Honoring older parents means deeply respecting their life experience and acknowledging that older saints still have a vital and ongoing role to play within the family unit.

Testing Your Faith Can Reveal More Than You Think

Encountering various trials is an inevitable part of the Christian walk, but these challenges carry a profound divine intention. While God never tempts believers to sin, He sovereignly uses hardships to refine our character and prove that we truly belong to Christ. By holding fast to the Word of God and praying for wisdom, believers can endure suffering biblically and find genuine joy, knowing God is using the pressure to deepen their love for the Savior.

    Theology Without Spiritual Discernment

How is it possible to possess vast theological knowledge yet completely lack spiritual discernment? In this episode, Dr. Richard Caldwell examines the dangerous reality of knowing the Bible but lacking wisdom in everyday application. This spiritual blindness almost always begins with intellectual pride, which turns Scripture into a mere academic subject and leads to selective obedience. To combat the desire for cultural compromise, believers must cultivate a posture of profound humility, maintaining a constant dependence on the Spirit of God to apply biblical truth to every area of life.

Wolves in the Church: Guarding the Local Flock

Christians are commanded to be vigilant against spiritual wolves who seek to infiltrate the body of Christ. In this episode, Pastor Richard Caldwell explains that false teachers are identified by their distortion of biblical truth and their selfish ambition. Rather than living in constant suspicion or relying on online discernment ministries, believers are called to trust the Lord and submit to faithful local church elders. By adhering to reformed theology and the proper steps of biblical church discipline, congregations can effectively confront false shepherds and protect the purity of the local flock.

Confused About God’s Will? Purpose & Calling

Believers often struggle with aimlessness and confusion regarding their purpose. Scripture provides a clear roadmap rooted in the foundational truth that we are created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Whether seeking career direction or discerning a weighty call to pastoral ministry, Christians must hold their plans with an open hand and yield to the absolute sovereignty of God. This involves rigorously examining our lives against biblical qualifications, seeking the objective wisdom of local church elders, and making decisions that demonstrate joyful submission to Christ rather than arrogant assumptions about the future.

What Is Your Destiny? The Truth About Finding Your Purpose

Drawing from the book of Ecclesiastes, the discussion highlights that our primary goal is to fear God and keep His commandments. Spiritual Weariness: Why You Feel Spiritually Tired and What Scripture Says to Do

The recent tragedy in British Columbia highlights the devastating consequences of a culture embracing what Scripture calls earthly, natural, and demonic wisdom. The transgender movement is an anti-God ideology that demands the rejection of one's God-given identity, leading to disorder, despair, and violence. While believers must abhor this sin and recognize its spiritual roots, we are called to have compassion for those enslaved in darkness. The only true solution to gender confusion and cultural chaos is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which offers redemption and deliverance to sinners.

    Is Spiritual Abuse Real?

Today, cultural movements fueled by social media frequently level accusations of spiritual abuse against church leaders. This episode addresses these claims by examining the crucial need for a faithful, biblical ecclesiology. While there are instances of poor shepherding and leaders who wrongfully domineer their congregations, many accusations stem from a misunderstanding of God-ordained pastoral authority and church discipline. Believers are called to distinguish between abusive behavior and the faithful, sometimes firm, correction provided by loving under-shepherds. By anchoring our understanding in 1 Peter 5 and the broader testimony of Scripture, we can navigate these difficult cultural conversations with wisdom, protecting the purity of the church while honoring true pastoral care.

What Is Biblical Evangelism and How Should Christians Do It

This episode explores the true definition of evangelism and how believers can faithfully fulfill the Great Commission. Instead of treating the lost as projects, Christians are called to proclaim the message of the cross with clarity and genuine compassion. While many fear sharing their faith, you do not need to be a trained apologist; knowing the Word of God and sharing your testimony is enough because the gospel has power all by itself. Furthermore, the church must correct the modern model by gathering for corporate worship and dispersing to share the gospel, equipping believers through prayer, scripture saturation, and a willing heart.

New Life In A New Man

Introduction: Death to the law meant life to God (vs.19). The day that Paul died to the law as his means of righteousness — his imagined means of salvation — and looked to Christ by faith, he knew the liberating power of a relationship to the law of God that exists under the law of Christ. The law is good, but it must be used lawfully. NAU 1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted. It's a new man who has a new relationship to the law. NAU Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7 for he who has died is freed from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present

    The Necessity of Christ’s Death

I sometimes wonder if we recognize all that comes to nothing if we get the gospel wrong. TAKE AWAY ONE ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF THE GOSPEL AND YOU FORFEIT EVERYTHING. This is a point that Paul emphasizes elsewhere in the New Testament. He takes the truth of the gospel and points out what happens if we deny even one essential element of it. You remember that he did this with the doctrine of resurrection. Will the dead be raised? There were professing believers denying the future resurrection of the dead. Paul points out the obvious relationship that doctrine has with the gospel. NAU 1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. NAS 1 Corinthians 15:29 Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them? 30 Why are we also in danger every hour? 31 I protest, brethren, by the boasting in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32

Warning Signs That You Are Spiritually Unhealthy

In this episode, Dr. Richard Caldwell and host Josh Philpot discuss the subtle dangers of spiritual drift. They explain how believers can maintain outward religious habits while their hearts grow indifferent toward God. The discussion highlights warning signs such as a lack of affection for Christ, cynicism, and isolation from the church body. Dr. Caldwell emphasizes that the root of this apathy is often a loss of eternal perspective and forgetting the gospel. He calls believers to examine their hearts, remember their first love, and live in light of their future glorification to combat spiritual stagnation.

    The Authority of The Gospel

Paul's testimony is all about the gospel. He has declared what is true about the content of the gospel, and now he is in the midst of declaring the truth about his own experience with the gospel. His experience demonstrates and illustrates everything that he has declared about its content. His story has illustrated the heavenly origin of the gospel. It is not according to man or owes its origin to man. His story has illustrated the exclusivity of the gospel — there is only one and he and the other apostles therefore agree in their message. But now he wants to remind them of an encounter that he had with one of the most prominent leaders in the Lord's church. The encounter is shared for two reasons. ONE — IT DEMONSTRATES THE AUTHORITY OF THE GOSPEL. TWO — IT DEMONSTRATES PAUL'S LEGITIMATE AUTHORITY AS AN APOSTLE. Both points are being impressed on the Galatian believers because they are being unsettled by a false gospel, by the influence of a works righteous group of Jewish religionists.
