hey, everyone. sorry it's been so long, but i've been incredibly busy with school and various other projects. and so, after the hiatus, i finally have another finished track! i know, it's not exactly "pop" or super catchy. this is a song for all those aspiring composers out there who want to hear something that isn't predictable in the 4/4 throwing one sixteenths in between loops and samples. i hope you all like it, as i have loved working on it. i really hope you're all doing well, and i hope my sounds enrich your life in a meaningful way. many blessings.

hey, everyone! the new EP is coming soon!!! can you believe it? this is the third one already! yup yup, well, i won't be doing official releases for remixes any time soon, which is what sets my EP tracks apart from the stuff i post here. i basically use this space to experiment, but the recent tracks WILL see an official release, don't worry. anyways, a note about this track: i know it probably won't be super popular, as it plays with offbeats and time signatures, so it's mainly a brain teaser for my fellow composers and math geeks. enjoy!

hello again, and welcome to another lesser known remix from my archives! initially, i think i released this song as "Just for Fun" or something like that, but i dug up the project and decided i really liked some of the parts, so fixed up the mix to my recent standards. the composition is much shorter than most of my recent songs, but it IS kinda catchy and fun, which is a large part of why we like music, right? anyhow, i'm sure i'll add to this song later when i finish working on some of my new songs, so stay tuned, and rock on!

yo yo and hello! it's been a rough year, for sure, but i finished my new composition for the holidays! it's kinda also about the holidays, as i was in a rough spot when i started writing this one, and i put all the positive vibes i could muster into this song. some of the stuff i write feels kinda soulless sometimes, so i end up discarding a bunch of songs that i start to write. anyhow, i hope you're all doing well, and happy holidays!

hey, all you amazing people! because i have less time this month to work on my newer projects (which means sessions that are several hours long with no distractions), i decided to update my page with a remastered classic from my early days of composing electronic music. this song kinda always held a special place in my heart, as i used to play it to test out the woofers for my cabinet speakers. anyhow, the volume might end up being slightly lower than my other tracks, so don't forget to dial it down after the track is over. anyway, hope you're all doing well, and have a beautiful day!

yeah! this one took a while, i know. i nearly lost the project files, so i had to dig through some of my old stuff to find a copy. woops! anyhow, this is a carefully reworked remix since the original (which i still love) relied on harmonic overloading of synth sounds for certain parts (mostly the last minute), and i wasn't satisfied with that. anyways, this one took a hot minute (or two) mainly because i had to rework everything: the timings, the patches, the drums, just everything, but it still had to sound as close to the original composition as possible. that's always the tough part. well, hope you're all doing well, and keep on a' rockin'!

so yeah... i listened back to the version i had posted, and it still didn't sound right. i wanted to get something music related done today, so i worked on volume leveling and sound displacement for this track, which should sound much better now. i also changed a lot of the timings and fixed various other issues, so i hope the upload goes okay. enjoy!

this is an old, old song i wrote a long time ago, and it's pretty dreary, but good. i can't tell the whole story, as it was 10 years ago, and i'm sure i won't do it justice, so i thought i'd add the lyrics below so you can read along if you choose to do so. the main message is that life is precious, and the rest is up to interpretation. here's the lyrics: well, i need life, but it doesn't like me. we can crawl through... these times we face, simply are the human race. what we don't rebuild, and we can't repent not afraid, i lie awake, pausing, my last breath... how's everyone doing today? hopefully as awesome as I know you are. anyways, i know i've shared this track on my page before, but this is an improved edit, and honestly, i've kinda always wanted this song to have a semi-permanent spot on my page. i really enjoyed writing it back in 2006, and i love doing remasters for songs that can adequately be salvaged. this song was actually usable because it was part of an album my friends and i threw together way back when, and when i went through my old storage, i found a copy! i had a CD burner at the time, so i ripped (such an awful term) the tracks off it for the raw WAVs. Thank goodness for family!

heeeey, all! i promised a new track by the end of the week, so here it is! after revisiting some of the tracks i've put out in the past, i found a few that needed updating. "new city" is one of the tracks i've yet to remix/remaster, so i went back through it and adjusted the whole thing, adding backing parts, replacing outdated patches, and leveled the whole thing to sound more balanced. anyway, hope you enjoy it! i really loved writing this one before i released the first version, as it's a little rockin', head-bobbin', but also very chill. thank you all for your kindness through this journey called life, as you, the listeners, mean the world to me. many blessings be upon you, and remember to have a great day, cuz you ROCK!

so yeah, finished another remix today. this song was always a little odd for me, as its inner-workings were harder to sync. anyways, i could go on and on about stuff related to this song, but it's really not that interesting. key points: this was sort of a first draft remix, so i might go back again and change things up. however, i like to accentuate the qualities of certain tracks, and i feel like this one has more character now. the problem is that i have 3 versions of this song that i like, so i'm going to try to pick them apart and combine what worked in each of them for a better version down the road. anyways, it's all part of the refinement process. i'll leave the previous version on my page for a while, so if you want to compare the two and leave your thoughts in a comment or write me a message with a detailed reaction, that would be fantastic. you're all amazing individuals, and i hope you have a great day. laaaaters!

so, i've been working on this one on and off all week, and i really like how it turned out. as per my standard as of late, i went through all my old patches and made refinements, so most of the sounds are truer and have more character. i'm preparing another set of 4 tracks for my next release, so this will be one of them. thank you all for your loving interest, as well as the support. have a great day, everyone.

well, this is some old stuff of mine. i originally composed this song back in 2006-ish, still having much to learn about crafting original music without instruments you know how to play. looking back on tracks like these (ah yes good weather, pyrogeometrix, etc.), i realize how much this past decade has truly taught me. anyway, through the magic of editing, i've been trying some of those things i learned, and finally remastered some of the audio quality that was lost in the translation of all these years. i don't have the program anymore that i created these files with, so i can't actually remake or remix them, but i can spruce up the ones that are still uncompressed from ten years ago. well, i hope you all have a fantastic day!

hey, all! i'm talking to you (in the plural sense). anyways, i was recently going through some of my older project files, and decided this song needed a little work. initially, i was looking for the outro for this same project, which was up here a while back, but i can't find the file! i was SUPER disappointed, so i worked on the main theme of this level to help me forget about it. yup yup, anyways, this song will be available for full quality download in a few weeks. i was just going to hold on to it for a while and do a batch release later, but i decided that wouldn't be cool of me. it's ready now, so let people stream it, yeah? yeah. have a good one, my pretties.

well, this was a song i wrote back in 07 or 08 for my album "npc's love ellipses". at the time, it was a long, basic track that was repetitive and slightly annoying for me. i knew i could do better, but i wasn't to the point where i was okay with basic yet. nowadays, my methodology is completely different for creating music. i really wanted to revive this song, but i knew that meant re-learning it and reinventing some of the finer points since i haven't played it for years. anyways, i lost quite a bit of my vocal range for several months there, but using most of my register doesn't hurt anymore, so i'm back to recording my vocals again. i won't be doing any scream/roar stuff for at least a couple more months. that creates way too much tonal vibration for me at the moment.

it would take a while to explain, but this is another remaster that i did recently, sorta like "ah yes, good weather". i've been learning new tricks for my editing process, so enjoy. file size is a little bigger, so the website has to compress it more. downloads are free and will always sound better. enjoy!

hooray, and i rarely use that word when it's not sarcastic. i was 99.9% sure i had a good version of this one, so i combed through my files, and sure enough, here it is. it's my final version of holy diver, with which i was totally satisfied except for forgetting the order of the verse right before the last chorus. i listened to it again oh so carefully, and i realized that it was a change i MEANT to make to emphasize the point of the song that eluded many. anyhow, here it is, and even though it's a bit older, it's post cajon (xmas 2014), so it's nearly same quality as my current stuff. on a side note, i vividly remember recording this one, and man, i couldn't talk right afterwards. i mean, doing scream vocal stuff is one thing, but really belting it on key AND trying to hit notes that are barely within the vocal range is... umm... tough.

this is a new recording where i tried to edit with my regular speakers, which sucked. so i put my headphones back on and fixed it as the tracks came out well.

this one was track 3 on an old CD me an' some friends threw together, quite literally. this is the same file off that disk from 2007.

this is one of the two final versions of "the space pope anthem remix". i wrote the original track back in 2000-something -- and i've refined it numerous times -- but the original one came on the other day and it hit me in a new light. so, i'm posting this one and "space pope approved" side-by-side, and i'll let you decide which one is better (aka popularity). enjoy!
