RDJ's Doctor Doom: A Multiversal Saga
Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom: Building to Doomsday and Secret WarsThis briefing document analyzes insights from Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus regarding Marvel Studios' plans for introducing Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom and building towards the Doomsday and Secret Wars events.Key Themes:A Multi-Phase Plan: Marvel has a concrete plan for developing Dr. Doom into a major antagonist, rivalling even Thanos. While minor adjustments are underway, the overall roadmap leading to Doomsday and Secret Wars is established. The Rabum Alal Connection: Alex Perez strongly hints that RDJ's Doom will be tied to the powerful, multiversal entity known as Rabum Alal. This is supported by his references to "New Avengers #33" and "Secret Wars #5", comic issues where Doom's connection to Rabum Alal is revealed.Doctor Strange's Crucial Role: Doctor Strange will be instrumental in Doom's rise. Their partnership, potentially involving the Black Priests and the destruction of universes, will be a major plot point.Important Ideas and Facts:Avengers Aware of a Threat: The Avengers will know about a significant impending threat, possibly Rabum Alal, and begin preparations without fully understanding its nature.Doom's Motivations: The destruction of Doom's universe in the upcoming Fantastic Four film will serve as a catalyst for his actions. He might even be inadvertently responsible for this destruction, leading him to become Rabum Alal and investigate the collapsing multiverse.Flowers Dying in Latveria: Alex Perez's reference to flowers dying in Latveria during summer directly points to "New Avengers #33", further solidifying the Rabum Alal connection."Shattering Universes": The collaboration between Doctor Strange and Dr. Doom will have dire consequences, literally shattering universes and playing a significant role in the Multiverse Saga.Adapting the Molecule Man Concept: The MCU might adapt the Molecule Man concept from the comics, replacing him with "anchor beings" who play a critical role in the multiverse's stability. Doom and Strange could either collect these beings to fight a larger threat or be forced to destroy universes to prevent a catastrophic event.Supporting Quotes:"The overall outline for how this is going to be built up, what is going to happen in Doomsday, and what is going to happen in Secret Wars is there. They have the plan.""I have two words for you: Rabum Alal.""...in Latveria the flowers die in the summer then you’d already know where to look...""I know of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr. Steven Strange with Robert Downey Jr.’s Dr. Victor Von Doom will shatter universes. This will feature some of the most important sequences in the Multiverse Saga."Conclusion:Based on the information available, Marvel Studios seems to be meticulously crafting a compelling narrative that positions RDJ's Dr. Doom as a formidable antagonist with complex motivations. By incorporating elements from acclaimed comic book storylines, they aim to deliver a captivating and impactful story arc culminating in the epic events of Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Acolyte was a complete failure
Disney has officially addressed The Acolyte, which I personally consider the worst Star Wars project ever created. According to their statement, the series was simply too expensive to continue producing—this, while they’ve allocated over $650 million for Andor seasons 1 and 2. In other words, it appears the show underperformed, failed to attract viewers, and is not worth further investment.I’m relieved that The Acolyte won’t be renewed. Hopefully, this puts to rest the narrative that those who criticized it were acting out of bias rather than genuine disappointment with the quality. Clearly, Disney itself doesn’t see value in continuing the series. Perhaps it’s not that complex—we just want good Star Wars content.Looking ahead, I hope for a return to the quality of The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 (but not season 3) and Tales of the Jedi (not Empire). With projects like the upcoming Mandalorian movie and Ahsoka season 2, there’s hope for better Star Wars storytelling.
