أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۚ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ غَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا۟ فِيهِ ٱخْتِلَـٰفًۭا كَثِيرًۭا ٨٢Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Let’s reflect on the emotions that we learned about in the book. And how we can continue to work on purifying ourselves and our souls, even after ramadan leaves us. Can you believe that we reflected on 26 emotions mentioned in this book, ranging from anger, to envy, to fear of poverty, to heedlessness, to love of the world, to ostentation, and to greed. We learned about the signs and symptoms of each of these emotions, then we learned about the treatments for them and if there are any exceptions to them. What is wantonness & greed? This desire to always need and want more. Some people want to live such a life of extravagance that they’ll put themselves into debt to live it. Vanity is a dangerous disease, where you glorify your blessings while forgetting that it’s all from God. It’s related to arrogance.
