It's an intriguing song about being lonely in LA and thinking of moving back to NYC.  The hook for his lyrics, "I am" was borrowed from God Himself. God declared to Moses when Moses asked who should he say sent him, tell them, "I Am' has sent you. Jesus Christ uttered the same words in the Garden of Gethsemane when He was about to be arrested.
