Saved by Faith, Not by Ritual..
What does it really mean to be saved? In this episode of Healing in His Hands, we dive into Romans 10:5–15 and unpack the true way to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. I also share something deeply personal.. how I have peace knowing Vanessa and Nick are with the Lord, not because of religious works or baptism, but because they confessed Jesus as Lord over their lives. We also talk about fear.. especially the fear of death that so many adults and even children carry.. and why, as believers, we don’t have to live in fear. Our earthly bodies may pass away, but in Christ, death is not the end… it’s eternity with Him.This episode is for anyone wrestling with grief, salvation, fear, or wanting to understand what God’s Word truly says about eternal life.

Grief vs. Grace
Grief is heavy. It comes in waves, in quiet moments, in memories, and in the ache of what’s been lost. In this episode, I open my heart about the grief I’m carrying right now, and the grace of God meeting me in the middle of it.Even in sorrow, He is present. Even in tears, He is faithful. Even in brokenness, He is still holding me together. If you’ve ever wondered how grief and grace can exist at the same time, this conversation is for you.

The Lord is My Crutch..
Right now, I’m literally walking with crutches… but spiritually, I’m being carried in a whole different way. In this episode, “The Lord Is My Crutch,” I open up about what it looks like to lean on God in the middle of real pain—physical, emotional, and everything in between.Sometimes we try to be strong on our own. We push through, hold it together, and tell ourselves we’re okay… even when we’re not. But God never asked us to suffer alone.2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”This episode is a reminder that your weakness isn’t something to hide. It’s exactly where God’s strength shows up the most.If you’re walking through pain, grief, or just feeling worn down… this is for you. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to carry it by yourself.

What’s Behind The Smile.. God Meets Us There.
Behind every smile, there can be a story no one sees.In today’s episode, I open up about the heaviness I’m carrying as we mark one year since Nick has been gone. Grief doesn’t always look the way we expect… sometimes it shows up in quiet moments, hidden behind a smile, tucked beneath “I’m okay.”✨ “Even in laughter the heart may ache…” — Proverbs 14:13But here’s the truth: God meets us there. Not just in our strength, but in our sorrow. Not just in our joy, but in the places we try to hide.If you’ve ever smiled while silently hurting, this episode is for you. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to carry it by yourself.🤍 Let this be your reminder that God sees what others don’t… and He draws near to the brokenhearted.#HealingInHisHands #GriefJourney #GodMeetsUs #FaithInHardTimes #Proverbs1413

Even If You Don’t Get It All Done…
I wasn’t even planning on recording today…I’m not feeling my best, and honestly, I was ready to rest. But in the middle of my shower, God gently whispered something that shifted everything:“The world will keep going, even if you can’t get everything done.”That reminder hit deep.In a life full of responsibilities—being a mom, working, serving, building, and trying to stay consistent—it’s so easy to feel like everything depends on us. Like if we slow down, everything will fall apart. But that’s not truth. That’s pressure. In this episode, I’m sharing what God showed me about: • Letting go of the pressure to do it all • Resting without guilt • Trusting that God is still in control, even when we pause • Releasing the need to prove or performIf you’ve been overwhelmed, tired, or feeling like you’re falling behind… this is your reminder:You are not the one holding everything together, God is.

The Cycle I Didn’t Know I Was Repeating..
In this episode of Healing in His Hands, I dive into the story of Mary and Martha and share how God convicted my heart about distractions.I didn’t realize how easily “being busy” was pulling me away from simply sitting at His feet. Like Martha, I was doing all the right things… but missing the most important thing. This episode is raw, honest, and a reminder that Jesus isn’t asking for our performance. He’s asking for our presence. If you’ve been feeling distracted, overwhelmed, or distant from God, this is your invitation to come back and sit with Him.

God Forgives Them Too… And That Broke Me
This episode stretched me in a way I didn’t expect…I started in 1 Samuel 16:6-7, where God reminds us that He doesn’t see the way we see. He looks at the heart. And as I sat in that truth, God began to gently confront something deep within me.I found myself wrestling with the reality that the same grace God gives me… is available to the people who hurt me the most. Even the ones responsible for taking someone I love.If they repent, God forgives them. And that’s hard to accept. But how can I hold onto anger when God has forgiven me time and time again? This episode is raw, emotional, and real. I even broke down mid-recording because of the conviction I felt. But I know this is a message someone else needs too.God isn’t asking us to understand everything… He’s asking us to trust His heart. 🤍

When God Speaks, Write It Down
Sometimes God speaks in quiet, unexpected ways. Through His Word, through worship, through a conversation with a friend, through the wisdom of our children, or even through a stranger at the right moment. But how often do we forget what He said?In this episode of Healing in His Hands, I talk about the importance of writing down the moments when God speaks to us. Scripture reminds us again and again to remember what the Lord has done, because remembering strengthens our faith when we walk through difficult seasons. When we write down what God reveals, we create a testimony we can return to. A reminder of His faithfulness. A record of His guidance. A place to see how He has moved in our lives.Whether God speaks through prayer, worship, His Word, a devotion, or the people around us, those moments matter. And when we write them down, we give ourselves the gift of looking back and seeing His hand in every step.If you’ve ever wondered whether you should keep a journal of your spiritual journey, this episode will encourage you to start.Because sometimes the words God gives us today are the ones we’ll need to remember tomorrow.

The Power of Yes: Rebekah’s Obedience & When God Calls You to Go
In this episode of Healing in His Hands, we walk through Book of Genesis chapter 24 and the powerful moment when Rebekah was asked a life-changing question:“Will you go with this man?”And she simply responded, “I will go.”Rebekah didn’t know the full story. She didn’t know the destination. She didn’t know the life waiting on the other side. But she trusted God enough to say yes.In this episode, I reflect on the power of obedience and how God often asks us to move before we see the full picture. I also share how this story connects deeply to my own journey—when God called me to move to Humboldt County and step into something I didn’t fully understand at the time.Sometimes obedience feels uncomfortable.Sometimes it looks uncertain. But when God confirms His voice, our yes can open the door to His greater plan.If you’ve ever felt God prompting you to step into the unknown, this episode is for you.Because sometimes the most powerful act of faith is simply saying:“I will go.”

When God Tests Your Yes: The Obedience of Abraham & The Cost of Trust
In this episode of Healing in His Hands, we walk through Genesis 22 — the moment Abraham was tested in a way that didn’t make sense.God asked him to lay down the very promise He had given him.And Abraham said yes.Not because it was easy. Not because it was painless. But because he trusted the voice of God more than he trusted his understanding. As I reflected on Abraham’s obedience, I couldn’t help but see my own journey. When God called me to Humboldt County, it felt like a sacrifice.Leaving comfort. Leaving familiarity.Walking into the unknown.I didn’t know what would unfold.I didn’t know the grief I would walk through.I didn’t know how much surrender it would require. But obedience always precedes provision.Genesis 22 reminds us: • Tests are not punishments, they are invitations to trust. • What feels like loss may actually be positioning. • God will never ask for something without already preparing a ram in the bush.If you are in a season where God is stretching your faith…If obedience feels costly…If you’re wondering whether it’s worth it…This episode is for you.Because sometimes the greatest blessing is waiting on the other side of your “yes.”🎧 Now streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and available with video on YouTube.

From Doubt to Destiny: When God Calls You Before You’re Ready
In this episode of Healing in His Hands, I read through Genesis 18 and Genesis 21. The story of Sarah laughing when God promised what felt impossible… and then watching Him fulfill it anyway. There was a time God called me to Humboldt County, and I doubted Him.It didn’t make sense. It didn’t fit my plan.It didn’t look like what I thought my future would be.And just like Sarah, I questioned. Now here I am, living in Humboldt County. Without Nick. Without the version of life I thought I would have. But standing in the middle of God’s greater plan. This episode is about: When God calls you early When you laugh in disbelief When grief changes the picture And when His promises still come to pass, just not the way you imaginedIf you’ve ever doubted what God told you… this one is for you.Because what feels impossible today may be the very place God establishes your promise tomorrow. His plans are always greater.

From the Whirlwind to the Restoration
God spoke from the whirlwind. Not to explain the pain, but to reveal His power. In this episode, we journey through Job 38–42 and discover a deeper kind of trust. He Spoke… and I Didn’t Know It Was Goodbye
In this episode, I open up about Job 33 and the powerful truth that God is always speaking. Even when we don’t yet understand what He’s saying.I share the visions and moments God gave me before Nick passed, the ways He tried to get my attention, and how Scripture later brought clarity to experiences I couldn’t explain at the time. Job 33 reminds us that God speaks through dreams, warnings, whispers, and divine interruptions. Not to confuse us, but to protect, guide, and redeem. This is a vulnerable conversation about faith, loss, obedience, and trusting God’s voice even when the message doesn’t make sense yet. If you’ve ever wondered whether God was trying to tell you something… this episode is for you.

When Grief Wants Answers: Job 13 & My Honest Prayers
In Job chapter 13, Job doesn’t hide his pain. He takes his case straight to God.In this episode, I walk through that chapter and open my journal from the days after Nick passed away. The questions, the anger, the confusion… and the faith that still whispered beneath it all. This one is for anyone who has ever loved deeply and lost painfully, but still chose to speak to God anyway.

When Silence Hurts: Job, Grief, and the Gift of True Friends
In this episode of Healing in His Hands, I reflect on Job 2:11–13, 3:1–5, and 4:1–6, and the powerful role that friendship and presence play in seasons of deep grief. Job’s story reminds us that before advice is given or answers are offered, there is sacred value in simply sitting with someone in their pain.I share parts of my own journey through grief, what I’ve learned about who shows up, who doesn’t, and how God uses the presence of others to bring comfort when words fall short. This episode is for anyone walking through loss, supporting someone who is hurting, or learning how to be a safe place for others in their pain.If this episode speaks to you, I invite you to listen, share, and walk this healing journey with me.

Faith When Heaven is Silent
In this first episode, we walk through Job 1 - 2:1-10, where faith is tested, loss is allowed, and heaven seems painfully quiet. Job doesn't know the conversation happening above him, he only knows the devastation happening around him. Through Scripture and personal reflection, I share how this passage met me in my own season of loss after losing Nick, and what it looks like to choose obedience when answers don't come, prayers feel unheard, and worship costs everything. This episode is for anyone who has loved God deeply.... and still suffered deeply. For those learning to trust Him when heaven is silent, and faith is all you have left.
