The question of AI is touching every corner, every industry, every field of study, every brain... as a dream midwife and ambassador of dreams, I feel it's my duty to share what I'm tracking on the matter of AI and dreaming.  Here are my thoughts. In no particular order this shortie will cover... How YOU are the authority on YOUR dreams. A reminder to proceed with caution when outsourcing your dreams to anyone/thing outside of yourself - I said this before AI and continue to say it now. The destination of the outsourcing doesn't matter, it's the act of placing your power outside of yourself.  How dreams are our direct line to our souls... OUR SOULS Y'ALL! This is very, very sacred territory. I extend an invitation to carefully consider who/what we want to invite into our very personal conversation with that connection point. I said this before AI and continue to say it now.  How we can't outsource anything - including our dreaming and our imagination - without consequence. That's natural law.  How dreams are evolutionary, cutting edge and emergent - coming to break us, and our world - into new territory. Pulling on already known data might not be the juiciest, most magical, most helpful, most creative source of interpretation.  How human beings are dreamers. (I admit I have an attachment to us remaining that way.) How I'm open to being WRONG about all of THIS! We're in crazy times right now y'all. Grandmother Jyoti Ma is an internationally renowned spiritual teacher, grandmother vision keeper and one of my deepest inspirations. It was truly my honor to sit down with Grandmother Robin Youngblood in the Dream Barn to discuss the upcoming Dance to Heal the Earth in Chimacum, WA on Sept 5-8th 2025.  Grandmother Robin shares how when she was under the mud and water in the Oso Mudslide of 2014 (the deadliest mudslide in human history) she heard Mother Earth scream that she didn't want this to happen, didn't want this mountain to come down, didn't want the animals and the people to be harmed. It was due to human error. Following the mudslide, Grandmother Robin was lead to bring forward Dance to Heal the Earth.  The dance is for everyone and everything, for restoring the balance of the masculine and feminine and celebrating joy and gratitude for all life, and for enacting what Mother Earth needs from us now.  Grandmother Robin teaches us the importance of building community at the local level to support each other through the times that are here and and are coming.  She speaks of how we need to listen to the land, be reverent to the land, to ask the land what it wants before acting, just as all native people have always known and practiced - we aren't different from the land, we are the land. Grandmother Robin talks about the Hopi prophecy and how "we are the ones we've been waiting for," stresses the importance of finding out what our role is to play on behalf of Mother Earth and All Our Relations. Why have we come here? What is this world? What is our purpose here? This episode is actually the first lesson in my Dreamweavers: Foundations Course. I'm offering it here for free because if you just implement what you learn here - it can change the course of your life for the better.  I begin by setting the scene around where we are at in this collective moment: dreamers who have by and large, forgotten they came to this world with the power to dream. We explore how dreaming is the final frontier in human consciousness - one of the last strongholds of terrain where our consciousness is not tracked, exploited and commodified in this age of algorithms. By turning towards our dreams we are making a declaration to these forces - NO! We are going to maintain our ability to dream the future.  We explore how, as Albert Einstein said, we cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it. And this precise reason is WHY we need to dream - to find solutions to the many problems faced by the collective mind that has created the problems we are currently at the consequence of. We will explore how the first step in our dreamweaving journey is to cultivate healthy soil on which to build the foundation of our dreamweaving practice.  So we explore beliefs to help grow this healthy soil - beliefs that are free from the overculture's grasp such as dreams grow soul dreams are love letters from source dreams are a connection to the web of life and all of nature dreams are messages from God. Randy Morris is an elder, ritualist and Professor Emeritus of Antioch University. A gifted teacher and weaver of story, Randy is the perfect person to introduce us to the Dream of the Earth. The fact that dreams "don't make sense" is often the reason people have grown a habit of forgetting instead of remembering. Most of us are used to a switch that is either on/off, awake/asleep... but dreams are not supposed to make sense to the rational mind. It's not their nature. They are non linear, irrational and multidimensional... all qualities that the waking executive function of the ego consciousness doesn't like. So we learn to forget.  One of our first tasks as dreamers is to learn to linger at the threshold of the dream door... with one foot in the realm of dream and one in the realm of awake.  In this episode we flush out what Jeremy Taylor meant when he said "no dream comes to tell you what you already know, all dreams break new ground in terms of conscious awareness."  We explore how in those first few moments of awakening we might retrain our minds to tug the threads ofd reams across the dream door. The job of waking mind is to be "the scribe of dreams" - all we are doing is being in receptive catching mode. Dreams come from... everywhere and everyone else we are OTHER than exactly who we know ourselves to be when we are awake. We are always emerging into somewhere, growing in some direction. Both paths of herbalism and dreaming, when done intentionally, bring us deeply into connection with the wisdom flowing through our bodies. This shortie explores what I call the 110% Safety Rule, and is rooted in listening to the body's wisdom. The rule goes like this: If you are not 110% sure that a choice you are making is good, safe and healthy then you are to stop: listen to wisdom, research and learn more before proceeding. Dreaming always sends us the most important messages our conscious minds need to wake us up to the truth of the universe and our next instructions in a given life stream. But because there are often translation errors between the realm of dreaming and awake, and because most of us weren't taught the importance of turning towards our dreams ... if we don't get the message, dreaming will keep sending the same message until at long last, we do get it. These repeat messages are called recurring dreams. Many of us know about Mugwort as the patron of dreamweaving... but what does that really mean? In this episode we dive deeply into what this medicine really means, exploring how Mugwort retrieves the dreaming soul. The beautiful mysterious plant Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris, is a patron plant for helping find and re-home the dreamer that each of us came into this world with.
