God created moms to fulfill a purpose within the earth to love and nurture their children/family following in God’s footsteps daily by grace.1.) Mission-A mission is the idea that God sends people to fulfill his will and purpose on earth. We have a mandate to finish the task he has set before us and he gives us the power to do so. Moms we are capable, worthy and strengthened through Gods grace to be the moms he is calling for.Biblical references:Acts 1:8Matthew 28:18-20Our Quest: What is your personal mission statement to fulfill your purpose as a mom. Take some time to seek guidance from the father and allow God to write your story. We are equipped with God’s plan and divine wisdom.2.) Meaningful-God gives life a meaning. He gives us individual and general purposes in life. The Bible shows us how we are to live our lives as Christ followers and His disciples. We need to seek him to uncover our personal journey and relationship with God on a daily basis. When we are consistent with doing this he will give us “specific instructions” on what we are to do to please him.Biblical references:Romans 8:281Corinthians 10:30Our Quest: What is your purpose that God has given you? How can you display and inspire your children to uncover their purpose and be in pursuit after it? How can you bring meaning to your daily life?3.) Moment-Our defining biblical moment was when we were saved by Jesus and became one with Christ. We were given a new life and a new purpose to glorify God in everything we do. Time goes so fast so don’t waste any moments.Biblical references:Col 3:1-41Corinthians 15:51-52Our Quest: How can we create these saving moments of truth and grace with the people God has put in our lives?4.) Mother- To be a mother is a calling and a ministry. It’s very important to allow God to use you in this role. You can be a mother to your own children and also others children in a way that is pleasing to God. There are many mothers that have not birthed a child from her womb but there is still a ministry and calling within her. We celebrate all mothers:step mom/godmother/aunt/big sister/mentor/adoptive/foster/friend! Whatever position you hold in someone’s life is such a precious gift and a beautiful blessing.Our Quest: Begin to look inward to understand the mother that God is calling you to be and become. How is God calling you in this area? Who are those children God is calling you to and how can you pour into their lives?Biblical references:Isaiah 66:13Proverbs 31:25-275.) Model-As a mother there is not a handbook that gives us step by step instructions and guidance. We know that God can speak to us, biblical wisdom is in the word of God. We also know we can lock arms with other mothers in our community and church. We are better together when we encourage one another and create lasting friendship and covenants with other mothers, friends and sisters. You don’t have to do life alone and we can be a positive influence and example to other women desiring to be a mother one day.Our Quest: Find a mom or two that you can encourage, pray with or even start a small group with.
