This feast is demarcated in great detail as the one time a year the High Priest was allowed and required to enter the Most Holy Place in the temple on behalf of the people. Today, we have One who tore that curtain from top to bottom, as we all who believe have access. Yet one day, there will be no access. May you permanently be inscribed in The Book of Life, before it is permanently closed.

Join Illumination in the continuation of the Feasts of the LORD series. This first of the fall festivals, Yom Teruah or Rosh HaShanah focuses greatly on the Book of Life and repentance. This day also begins the 10 Days of Awe, a period of self-examination leading up to Yom Kippur. And yet, there is messianic future fulfillment in this God ordained commemoration.
