We live in a culture that glorifies busyness and treats rest as something you earn after you’ve done enough. In this episode, Sharie explores the first half of Psalm 23:2, unpacking what it means to be led to green pastures by a Shepherd who has designed a rhythm of work and rest into creation— all of creation, including all of humanity, was meant to work and rest like God.

God has a pattern: He chooses shepherds who need the Shepherd. In this episode, we look at two men—Moses and Jesus—whose stories reveal what dependence on God really looks like in the messy, imperfect reality of life. Moses learned self-discipline not through willpower, but through years of trusting God's provision in the wilderness. And Jesus, the King of kings, showed us the ultimate picture of a shepherd-king who surrendered completely to the Father. What does it really mean to say "The Lord is my shepherd"? In this first episode of In Good Company, we will be learn what it means for God to be our Good Shepherd from Psalm 23:1.David, the authorof this Psalm, shepherded sheep in his early years. Later on God chose David to shepherd the Israel as their king. However, David knew he would fail as a shepherd-king if he without dependence on his Shepherd-King’s provision, care, and protection. David learned the art of self-discipline, of positioning his heart toward God’s favored leadership rather than white-knuckling his way into a life of obedience. In this episode we will see how trust in the Good Shepherd leads to godly self discipline in Psalm 23:1.

Sharie's son, Jacob King, an 18 year old recent high school graduate, talks about identity in Christ. With so many students and adults struggling to know who they really are, Jacob preached a strong message on finding our identity in Christ and not just in labels, work, performance and success. Rooted in scripture, he pointed out these simple but powerful truths: Our identity is found in Jesus. Our purpose is found in our identity. Our ultimate purpose is to glorify God and to make Him known.

This podcast is a message that Sharie King preached at Crossroads Summer Camp 2021 entitled: Becoming Aware of God’s Presence in Your Life. She preached message because it’s sometimes hard to hear God’s voice in the midst of all the other voices in this world. She focuses on the story of Exodus when Moses not only became aware of God’s presence when he encountered him in a burning bush, but also became aware of God’s call on his life. She provides practical ways we can all become more aware of God’s presence in our lives.

This podcast is a message by Sharie King from Crossroads Summer Camp 2021 called, How Knowing Jesus Changes Everything. Very often a relationship with Jesus is sold as a free gift which secures eternal life in heaven. But, our relationship with Christ, while it is a gift from God, it was not free. Our salvation not only required Jesus to sacrifice his life for us, but it also challenges us to “take up our cross and follow him.” Sharie teaches on what it means to take up our cross, and how Jesus changes everything.

Clayton's clarifies the meaning of salvation by telling the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. He explains why Jesus waited several days to visit Lazarus after he discovered he was sick. The raising of Lazarus was the 7th miraculous sign recorded in John’s gospel, and proves that Jesus was the Messiah. Hundreds responded to this message of salvation each week of summer camp.
