    Retreat 2026 - Planted Pt. 3

    Over the course of this year's retreat we wanted to land on the idea of living a life that is planted and rooted in Jesus based out of Ephesians 3:17-18.The bottom line from session 3 was "Faithfulness is abiding in Jesus. Fruitfulness is living for the sake of others."

This week we talked about living out our santification. The bottom line was "Our new life isn't ours."

    The book of Romans is widely considered one of the most theologically deep books in the entire Bible. However, the theme of the book is the truth of the Gospel and what that means for our walk with Jesus.Over the course of three weeks we will be looking at sin, justification, and sanctification. This week we talked about the grace of God in justifying us. The bottom line was "Jesus doesn’t just save you from sin; He saves you for a new life."

The big thing that students will be looking at is what these "cool stories" tell us about the character of Jesus.This week our Student Ministries Director, Jason Walters, talked about Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection from Luke 22-24. He talked about how Jesus laid his life on the line for us. The bottom line was "Jesus made a way for you."

    Through the books of Mark and Luke we will be exploring the Miracles of Jesus. The big thing that students will be looking at is what these "cool stories" tell us about the character of Jesus.This week one of our small group leaders, John McCann, brought the word about Jesus feeding the 5,000. He encouraged students to allow themselves to be used by God with whatever gifts we have. The bottom line was "Jesus will use whatever you have to give."

The bottom line was "Jesus sees what goes unseen."
