Lets Evolve

Today's topic is something I know a lot of people struggle with. In theory, to be patient is something to aspire to, but it's not easy. Patience is a "fruit of the spirit" and we should be working toward becoming patient everyday. I dive into the benefits of being patient and why God takes his time with us.

Gossiping comes natural to us. We do it without even realizing it. In this episode, we dive into some bible verses that shows why God is not okay with gossiping. As we mature, we need to let go of certain habits and letting go of gossip is one of them. Gossiping can be hurtful and we are called to live at a higher standard. We should strive to treat others the way we would like to be treated.

Life can be stressfull sometimes. The stresses of life can affect our mental health. It is okay to prioritize yourselve and do some self reflection. In this episode, I go over ways to make time for yourself and and how to change your mindset.

Doesn't it feel good to have someone do something nice for you. As christians, we are called to be the light of the world. We are the examples that others look at. We can change our environments by showing the fruits of the spirits. One of the fruits of the spirit is Kindness. The world needs more kind people and kindness is contagious. We show the love of God by doing random acts of kindness for people. It can be as simple as smiling at someone.

We are all striving to reach a certain goal in life. Some of us struggle with perfectionism. This can cause a fear of failure and lead to overthinking. We put so much pressure on ourselves to be good at everything. We don't leave room for growth and mistakes. It becomes hard to be kind to ourselve. Now is the time to break out of that cycle.

It is human nature to want to strive for big things. We compare ourselves to others and wish we had what they have. Some people reach the pinnacle of success and yet they feel unfulfilled. What if I told you that happiness is found in having a simple life and being content.

It can be frustating when you're trying to change and it's not happening fast enough. It is even harder dealing with others who refuse to change. We live in broken world and people are searching for answers. The only answer is Jesus. Jesus is the one that change the hearts of any unbeliever.

Jealousy is a sin, but we have all felt that feeling from time to time. God is the only one who is truly holy and he is the one who will bring to our attention the sin in our hearts. It can get frustrating to see others getting blessed when your situation is staying the same, but trust God. You have to keep your heart pure and ask God to remove the jealousy. Besides, we are God's representative here on earth. Comparison breeds jealousy, so it is best to learn to be satisfied with what you have. Bring everything to the feet of Jesus.  

I share about something that I learned this week. I dive into how pride is something that can be hidden so deep that you don't realize its there.  Pride always comes before the fall.

Watch out for what you think. You become your thoughts and there is wisdom in knowing that. God will lead you to what you must do to get your breakthrough. It sometimes start with renewing your mind and believing what God has said instead.

It is said that pride comes before the fall. That is so true and it is important to stay humble and dependent on God. The reason God is able to do the thing he is doing is because he can trust you to give him the credit. If you don't stay humble and start to think that you can do things on your own, God will allow for things to fall apart to teach you again that he needs to have your heart. It is his spirit guiding you. 

There are so many things in this world that will try to convince you that following Christ is a waste of your time. There comes a point when you have to decide to stop going back and forth in your mind about who you are. You have to decide the route you want to take. If you're going to follow Christ, then choose GOD all the way. In choosing that, you have to inspect every aspect of your life and begin to work on doing what GOD says not what culture says. Choosing God for me is to represent the Kingdom of GOD in order to disturb the kingdom of darkness. You have to be bold with what you believe.

Spiritual warfare is a real thing. The enemy will attack your mind and use people against you to get you out of line. He will attack you especially when he knows that God has a great purpose for your life. You have to learn the strategies of the devil, so you can fight against it. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds( 2 Corinthians 10:4)." We are soldier in the army of christ.

Listen to God's voice. If he told you to do something, do it and don't listen to those who don't believe. You can't have anything without having faith that it can happen. God honors your faith as long as it is within his will. There are so many promises that GOD wants to release, but we haven't learned to have radical faith for it. Trust God with all your heart. I know it's not easy.

Remain in Christ. You have to stay connected to the vine, which is God, so that you can follow his commands. The fruit of the spirit only comes when you are connected to God. Make room for God to speak into your life and obey him when he speaks. 

Will you let go of control, so that God can play his part. Trust me, you'll be grateful that God took control.
