Success is not wrong, but it was never meant to be your shepherd! This week, Ps Dan continues our series ‘Tear Down the Idols’ as we reflect on how we view success. Wanting to succeed is not wrong but when we begin to build our worth on it, we allow it to become our shepherd.

Comfort is often an invisible but rather persuasive idol in our hearts and lives. This week we are joined by Ps Luke de Jong as we continue our series ‘Tear Down the Idols’. When comfort becomes our god, we stop growing, we stop serving people, and stop following Jesus. 

It’s possible for us to look close to God, but actually be distant from him. This week, Pastor Jacob continues the series on ‘Tearing down the Idols’, and explores the idol of self-image, and how we were created to bear Gods image and not our own.

Am I abiding in Christ or striving in my own strength? This week, Ps Ashari continues our ‘Tear Down the Idols’ series by expanding on the idol of independence. The world says that we need to be self-sufficient, but God says that we were designed for relationship. Spiritual maturity isn’t becoming more independent, it’s growing in our dependence on God!

Many of us say that God is first in our worlds, but our lives tell a different story. This week, Ps Dan kicks off our new series ‘Tear Down the Idols’ as we reflect on what we are prioritising in our lives. Idols promise life but will only drain us - only God will truely satisfy our Spirit.

“Suddenly there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord came down, and rolled aside the stone …” This Easter Sunday we gather together to celebrate the risen Christ! As Christians we can live with the expectation that God can work powerfully and suddenly in our lives.

So often we become focussed on solving our problems, but what if it is not a problem to be solved, but a lack of oil sustaining us? This week, we are joined by Ps Craig Clark who encourages us to fill ourselves with fresh oil. God calls us to live lives that have an abundance of oil!

Just because it’s dormant, doesn’t mean it’s dead. God is calling us to reignite the gifts that He has given us. This week, Ps Dan encourages us to ‘stir the flame, and silence the fear!’ We must engage in a spiritual battle against a spirit of intimidation - God wants to ignite what a spirit of intimidation seeks to smother.

Hope is not blind optimism, it is confident expectation in the character of God. This week, Ps Ashari concludes our series on prayer as she encourages us to pray with hope and expectation! Hope is a decision to see the yet to be seen as though it already is.

… and without faith it is impossible to please God. This week, Ps Jacob continues our series on prayer as we explore what it means to pray with faith. Prayer is one of our greatest acts of defiance against the enemy - it is a powerful weapon!

Prayer is a divine invitation to communion with God in everything! This week, Ps Ashari begins a new series centred around the power of prayer. If we fail to enter into prayer we fail to enter into the majority of blessings God wants to impart to us! 

Being a Christian means we've been called to a lifestyle of following. This Discipleship Sunday, Ps Dan McGaw shares our part to play in seeing multiplication take place in the Kingdom of God.

This Empower Sunday, we gather together as Ps Luke de Jong shares our focus for the year ahead - Fresh Oil. God is willing to fill any room that we create for him, not only to bless us, but the generations to come.

In the same way that physical hunger leads us to food, spiritual hunger leads us to Jesus. This Communion Sunday, we remind ourselves that Jesus is our source. He is the ‘true bread of heaven’ that sustains our spirit when we are in relationship with Him.

This morning, Ps Dan McGaw unpacks the discipline of prayer and fasting. Fasting is about going without food so that we will rely on our true source, God. It is a process of emptying ourselves so that we may see Jesus come and fill us up again.

This Christmas season, Ps Dan encourages us with the story of a Leper’s encounter with Jesus. Where everyone else moved away from the leper, Jesus stepped forward. In the same way Jesus steps into our mess, not around it, and gives us healing and wholeness.

Jesus gave an invitation to his disciples that he still extends to us today, “come and see!” This Christmas season, Ps Ashari encourages us to take Jesus’ invitation to come and see - to experience Jesus, ultimately being transformed by him. This season let’s ’go and tell’ encouraging others to come and see Jesus for themselves.

Money has the power to be a great tool or hurdle for building the Kingdom, depending on what we allow to rule us. This week, Ps Dan concludes our ‘Money Matters’ series, speaking to how placing Jesus as Lord over our finances will guide us to set up future generations and build the Kingdom.

Bethlehem was God with us, Calvary was God for us, but Pentecost is God IN us! This week, we celebrate Pentecost Sunday as we are reminded that we walk with the presence of Jesus in us. The Holy Spirit is not only for the few but is for everyone!
