Jesus took the cross.On Good Friday, we remember the moment when the guilty were set free and the innocent Savior took their place. A guilty man was released, and an innocent Savior was condemned. Barabbas is a picture of all of us—the ones who have sinned, the ones who deserved the punishment. Yet Jesus, the spotless Lamb, stepped forward and took our place.We confront a question that reaches every one of us:What does it mean that Jesus took the cross meant for me?This message isn’t just about remembering what happened that day.
