As You Think, So You Become: The Power of the Heart

In this powerful message from the Keeping the Dream Alive series, Pastor Max dives into the incredible truth that your heart is the control center of your life. God speaks to us through dreams, visions, and the images we allow into our inner world—but it all begins in the heart.Proverbs 23:7 reminds us: “As a person thinks in his heart, so is he.”Jesus taught that our words reveal what is truly inside us, and whatever fills our heart will shape the direction of our lives (Matthew 12:34; 15:18).Pastor Max explains how the gateways to the heart—our eyes and ears—allow images, thoughts, and influences to enter our inner life. That’s why the Bible urges us:“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” — Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)When we protect our heart and welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit, God transforms us from the inside out. Just as the cloud of God’s presence guided the Israelites, the Holy Spirit now dwells within us, ready to guide us—if we invite Him.This sermon will encourage you to:✨ Guard the gateways of your heart✨ Be aware of the images influencing your inner world✨ Welcome God’s presence daily✨ Let the Holy Spirit shape you✨ Allow your heart to be transformed into the image of Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18)Your heart is powerful. Guard Your Eyes, Guard Your Heart

In this powerful message, Pastor Max explores the life-shaping power of images and how God uses them to move us forward in faith. Just as God gave Abraham a vision to enlarge his thinking and expand his heart, God gives us images to inspire, guide, and transform us.Images shape our emotions, our decisions, and even our identity. That’s why Scripture teaches us to be careful what we look at—and what we allow to influence our minds.“I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar…” — Psalm 101:3 (NLT)“You must not have any other god but Me… You must not make for yourself an idol…” — Exodus 20:3–4Pastor Max reminds us that we become what we behold. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we are transformed. But when we fix our eyes on the wrong things—fame, money, popularity, unhealthy influences—we can quickly drift off course. This sermon challenges you to:✨ Guard your eyes and your attention✨ Use the internet for good✨ Fill your mind with godly images✨ Let your image of Christ shape who you areYour self-image is formed by what you look at. Keep Your Dreams Alive

In this inspiring message, Pastor Max shares the powerful story of Hannah, the mother of the prophet Samuel, who turned her pain into purpose through prayer and faith. Her faith, patience, and perseverance opened the way for a miracle—and Samuel was born, a prophet who changed a generation.Pastor Max encourages us to do what Hannah did:✨Pray about everything and trust God with your dreams.✨ Don’t let opposition, comparison, or worry choke your faith.✨ Believe that God’s timing is perfect—He’s not done yet.“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything…” — Philippians 4:6–7 (NLT)“Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” — Psalm 37:4Be encouraged today—God wants you to keep your dreams alive and never lose hope!Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

The Word is our Sword | Reigning in Life - Ep. 3

Life may knock you down — but God’s Word empowers you to rise again!Learn how to resist, stand strong, and reign through every challenge.God’s presence leads us today just as surely as it led the Israelites in the wilderness — not by a visible cloud, but by His Spirit within us. When we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit and the guidance God gives through our pastors, we can walk confidently in His plan and provision.Pastor Max reminds us that through Jesus Christ we’ve received an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign in this life (Romans 5:17). But reigning doesn’t mean we’ll never face trouble — as Psalm 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”We’ve been given spiritual weapons to resist every attack. Our battles are not physical but spiritual — fought in our thoughts, words, and attitudes. God’s Word is our sword, our weapon of victory. When you fall, you get back up again, because the righteous may fall seven times but rise every time (Proverbs 24:16).No matter what you’re facing, pull out the sword of the Spirit and declare:The Lord delivers me. God is for me. I have victory through Jesus Christ.Every problem you face can be arrested by the Word of God!If this message strengthened your faith, drop a comment below, like, and share it with someone who needs a reminder to stand strong in God’s Word. Reign in Life: Winning the Battle Within | Reigning in Life - Ep. 2

In this message, Pastor Max teaches how to stand firm in your God-given authority and resist the enemy’s attempts to steal your peace, your confidence, and your destiny. The Word says in 1 Peter 5:8–9 to be sober and vigilant because the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. But as believers, we already have the authority to stand strong and reign through Jesus Christ. Our battle isn’t fought in the natural but in the spirit — as 2 Corinthians 10:3 reminds us, “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.”Reigning in life means knowing who you are in Christ, guarding your heart and thoughts, and declaring God’s Word with boldness. When you resist the enemy and hold fast to God’s promises, victory is inevitable. You were created to overcome, to walk in peace, and to live from a place of dominion. If this message encouraged you, take a moment to like, comment, and share it with someone who needs to be reminded of their authority in Christ. Fix What's in your Heart | Reigning in Life - Ep. 1

In this powerful message, Pastor Max reminds us that God created us to rule and reign in life — not over people, but over our circumstances. Through Jesus Christ, we’ve received the gift of righteousness and the authority to live in victory right now.Even though we face challenges in a fallen world, we are more than conquerors through Christ. Reigning in life begins with what we think and believe in our hearts. As Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a person thinks in their heart, so is he.” When we fix our hearts on God’s truth, our words, our mindset, and our outcomes begin to change. It’s time to rise up in boldness and walk in the authority God has already given you. Be like Caleb who declared, “We are well able!” Believe God’s promises, speak His Word, and watch His power be established in your life.If this message encouraged you, drop a comment below, like, and share it with someone who needs to be reminded of their authority in Christ. God’s Authority, Our Choices

God has both a divine and a human family, and as believers in Jesus, we are part of His human family. But with that comes responsibility—our free will allows us to choose obedience or disobedience. In Genesis 3, we see how the enemy deceived Eve, not by offering her something new, but by making her question what she already had. Today, we face similar challenges. Our choices either honor God and release His Kingdom on earth or open the door to consequences we were never meant to experience.Through Jesus’ victory on the cross, He disarmed the enemy and gave us authority over him (Colossians 2:15, Luke 10:19). But we must use that authority! What we permit or forbid on earth has power (Matthew 16:19).Join Pastor Max as he unpacks how we can walk in God’s authority, make choices that honor Him, and live in victory over the enemy!Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

Elohim: The Creator Who Chose You

In this powerful sermon, Pastor Max explores the name Elohim, the first name of God revealed in the Bible. From the very beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The plural form of Elohim hints at the mystery of the Trinity, as seen in Genesis 1:26: “Let us make humans in our image.”Though God created everything, He was not alone. Job 38:7 reveals that angels celebrated as God laid the earth’s foundations. Yet, despite His infinite power, God has chosen to work through us—His representatives on earth—to accomplish His will. What does it mean to be God’s representative? How can we walk in His purpose? Jesus Has All Authority - And He Gave It to You!

In this powerful sermon, Pastor Max unpacks Philippians 2:1-11, revealing the humility of Jesus as He emptied Himself, took on human form, and obeyed God to the point of death on the cross. Through the cross, Jesus disarmed principalities and powers, stripping them of their strength (Colossians 2:15). He took Satan’s power away and gave us authority to overcome the enemy (Luke 10:19). As believers, we have access to God's limitless power—power to transform lives, overcome obstacles, and bring His kingdom to earth (Ephesians 1:19).Jesus reigns through His Church today, and we are called to be salt and light, impacting the world around us.Be encouraged, be empowered, and step into the authority Christ has given you!Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

In this sermon, Pastor Max explores the story of Melchizedek, the priest of God who appeared to Abraham long before the law was given. Melchizedek, meaning "Righteous King," brought bread and wine to Abram, symbolizing Jesus and the communion we share today. He blessed Abram, praising God for his victory, reminding us that all success comes from God. Abram responded by giving a tenth of everything to Melchizedek, a powerful act of worship. Pastor Max highlights how Melchizedek represents a type of Jesus, and when we give our tithes, we are ultimately giving to Jesus, the eternal High Priest.Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

Faith That Gets Jesus’ Attention - Unshakable Faith Ep. #1

In this inspiring sermon, Pastor Max dives deep into the powerful story of Bartimaeus, as told in Luke 18:35-43. Despite his blindness, Bartimaeus knew exactly who Jesus was and refused to let the moment pass him by when Jesus walked by. He cried out with relentless faith, calling Jesus “Son of David,” acknowledging Him as the Savior with the power to heal.Bartimaeus' plea for mercy wasn’t just a casual request—it was a bold act of faith. Mercy is at the heart of who God is: forgiveness, salvation, and overcoming life’s obstacles all stem from His mercy. This sermon reminds us that Jesus is moved by #compassion, not by the search for signs and wonders. When we seek God's mercy, we are walking in faith, and with faith comes healing, transformation, and miracles.Bartimaeus' faith stopped Jesus in His tracks. It was his tireless, determined cry for mercy that caught the Lord’s attention, and it was his unshakable faith that ultimately led to his healing. Pastor Max challenges us to exercise that same persistent faith in our own lives and to recognize the power of Jesus' presence when He is near.Join us as we explore the significance of persistent faith and learn how to cry out to Jesus for the mercy and healing we need in our lives.Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

Drawing from 1 Corinthians 11:23-30, Pastor Max emphasizes the importance of remembering and honoring Jesus' sacrifice each time we partake in communion.Through references to Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53:1-5, we are reminded not to let communion become a mere routine but to deeply contemplate what Jesus endured for us.The sermon highlights the serious warning in scripture about taking communion in an unworthy manner (1 Corinthians 11:29-30). It calls us to discern, understand, and personalize the immense suffering Jesus bore for our sins and healing (Isaiah 53:1-5).Join us in this meaningful exploration of communion, remembering that the same sacrifice that forgave our sins also healed our bodies. Conversation with Jesus

When things happen that trouble us, what do we do?Was Jesus ever troubled? What happens when a believer dies?God wants us to walk in victory but we have to remember that our final destination is Heaven. In this sermon, Pastor Max explores the importance of setting our minds on things above, as described in Colossians 3:1 (NIV). While we teach a lot about overcoming challenges, we must also remember our ultimate victory in heaven. In difficult situations Jesus always knows what to say.Feeling troubled does not mean we need to repent, as even Jesus was troubled (John 11:33, John 12:27, John 13:21). Hebrews 4:14-16 reminds us that Jesus understands and helps us through our struggles. Despite the challenges, we are encouraged to trust in God and not let our hearts be troubled or afraid (John 14:1, 27). Our ultimate victory is assured through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

David remembered in the past how God helped him defeat the lion and the bear. Decisions, not circumstances determine your future. How you talk to yourself determines your future. You can’t control what others think but you can control what you think.“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.” (1 John 5:4 NLT).Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

    Turning Things Around

In this powerful message, Pastor Max teaches us how we can turn things around in our lives. The Gospel of Mark tells us the story of #Jesus healing the woman with a life threatening hemorrhage (Mark 5:25-34). Before she came to Jesus she had spent all her money on doctors who couldn’t help her and she was instead getting worse. Life had certainly dealt her a serious blow. This woman decided to turn things around. She made a decision. She went to Jesus. (Mark 5:27) The woman kept saying to herself, “If I just touch his clothes I’ll be healed”. This turned things around for her! So, what are the words you’re telling yourself?Proverbs 6:2 says you are trapped by what you say and ensnared by the words of your mouth.Decide today to turn your life around, by believing in Jesus and in His good plan for your life!Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

Pastor Max reminds us the significance of stepping into God's promises and the importance of faith and obedience in claiming our blessings. God told Joshua ‘whatever you put your foot on I will give you.’ (Joshua 1:3)Step on it, then its yours. God is good. God answers prayers. You can have what you say. It comes from this. If you step on it, you can have it. The equivalent in the New Testament is: ‘whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it’. How Hungry Are You?

The exciting miracle in John 6 of Jesus feeding the 5,000 shows us that God is a God of abundance and overflow. John 6:12  says they were full and there were left overs. In this miracle, a boy offered five small barley loaves and two small fish.God only requires what you have, not what you don’t have.God will multiply it. A little bit in God’s hands becomes much: much wisdom, much strength, much will power, much resources. We are to use what we have.It took faith to keep reaching into the basket for more bread and fish.It took hunger to keep it going. As long as they were hungry, the food kept multiplying. Our faith and our hunger make a demand on the power of God.The glory and power is his, the hunger is ours. How hungry are you?Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

The Power of The Holy Spirit

In Acts 1:8 Jesus said: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”In this message, Pastor Max reminds us about the power we've already received to be witnesses for Jesus. You have power so you can be a witness of Jesus wherever you go. The power is not just to feel good or show off. It's for our mission to testify the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. When people see you, they see Jesus.Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

    Clothed With Power

The Apostle Paul said we are to put off the old person and put on the new person created in God’s image. (Ephesians 4:22-24)The early church was a Spirit-filled church and a power-filled church. But they took their gifts out to the world. This is what God wants us to do in our everyday lives. Take the power of Holy Spirit wherever we go: to work, to the grocery store, to school, to our family, to our friends. Put it on and wear this power of God as you go out in the world.Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

The Grace of Giving with Excellence

God wants us to excel in the grace of giving. When we give to Him first he meets all our needs and gives us plenty left over to give others. Generous givers always have more.2 Corinthians 9:8-9: “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”God gives us seed to sow through the work of our hands using the gifts He has given us.Follow Pastor Max on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxandconnieg?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==
