Dr. Crawford Loritts says that becoming a disciple of Jesus requires a decisive commitment. You have to decide. Jesus does not call for incrementalism.  He does not call you to wander your way into this thing. He does not call for you to process your way into this. To become a disciple means in some many words, you have no control over your life. It’s a life-long journey. Crawford is leading us through a series of messages called, “For His Kingdom”… it’s a study in the NT book of Matthew. The scribes and  Pharisees  of Jesus day were known to pull this on occasion in order to maintain their perverted desire to manipulate people while appearing to be righteous. We're told to follow the 10 Commandments, but when we try we find we cannot keep them. The Commandments are there to show how much we need God.  Jesus fulfilled the Law in His death, burial and resurrection.
